Following on from the Itchy & bitchy 2nd trimester thread!

I'm now 25 + 6 weeks, so very nearly 6 months gone! 3 months remaining...

Morning sickness is still very present and I've been reminded of this 4-8 times a day all week.

On the plus side- movements are now very regular and I love them! Much lower down than I remember DC1 being- lots of bladder kicks which are /not/ fun.

Hows everyone else doing with the 3rd trimester?

@LMX0
@CremeDeSudo

How are you two getting along?? Grin

@WreckItRach of course it is 1000% i think ive ate more chocolate this week than i can remember lol
People can be very generous when it come to babies ive loads of clothes (my mum wont stop!) lol but the way i look at it is what ever i dont use ill be keeping up for the next one
Ive been getting pain had a few yesterday along with back pain and woke through the night with pains but today they are constant 😢

lmx0 · 16/05/2018 12:25

Ohh im so jealous of you ladies and your lazy days!! Im stuck in work!! 😢 @Embracethechaos you'd still have to bend to pick them up? By imo the rice cakes could go n jump crisps is where its at!! 😊

mustbemad17 · 16/05/2018 12:38

Imx0 i actually miss working tbh! I handed notice back in October due to issues with management...was already pregnant (unknown) & had to turn work down due to horrific sickness & anaemia. Nobody would take me on once i was healthy 😂 feel like i've out done myself on the lazy front & am bored stupid

readysetcake · 16/05/2018 12:48

@WreckItRach it’s all I’ve been doing this morning. Also struggling with positivity. DD is in nursery so making the most of the peace and quiet. Transferred to the birth ball a couple of hours ago to try and get things moving. I’ve now eaten all the crisps which is devastating as crisp are life. I’m now eyeing up the chocolate 👀

mustbemad17 · 16/05/2018 12:54

Are birthing balls any good? Feel like i should invest in one...

readysetcake go for the chocolate. It is always the right choice

CremeDeSudo · 16/05/2018 13:07

I can't bloody wait to finish work. Next week is my last week! I braved walking to Pret for lunch and getting all kinds off pains at the front of my foof/bottom of my belly. I'm so glad there's only a maximum 6.5wks for me!

lmx0 · 16/05/2018 13:19

@mustbemad17 awwww no way yeah im sure you bored it will be different when baby comes he/she will keep you busy!! I like my ball for sitting on when my backs sore i find it can help
@readysetcake eat the chocolate!!! And yes crisps are life!!!

WreckItRach · 16/05/2018 13:22

I am loving the fact that you all are feeling the same! Makes me feel a lot better and less guilty!

@lmx0 and @CremeDeSudo I hope your pains have calmed down now, would a bath help?

readysetcake · 16/05/2018 13:23

@mustbemad17 Dunno if they are any good for getting labour going, people claim they can be, but can’t hurt to try. I like it as it’s comfy and stops me slumping back on the sofa. Trying to get baby in good position! I’m going in for the chocolate. No regrets.

CremeDeSudo · 16/05/2018 13:30

I'm in work (albeit with nothing to do!). It's stopped now, I think it's the the weight of everything there as I carry low and all at the front it feels.

mustbemad17 · 16/05/2018 13:30

Lots of cheering here for chocolate haha.

I'm 37 weeks on Friday, cheered me up that it meant I had 3 weeks left. Then DP helpfully reminded me that i will be allowed to go 12 days over if small sir doesn't appear...so now I have roughly 5 weeks left potentially. I wanted to cry 🙈

Embracethechaos · 16/05/2018 13:43

@mumsbemad I got a birthing ball ages ago to do excersises on and help with pelvis pain. I love it, just stretch out my legs or bounce on it, I felt first movements when I was on it. Also when I had abdominal pain/cramps I went on my knees and leant on it and stretched out gently that way. Sometimes I use it as a seat but it takes a lot of energy so only if I'm feeling restless (more in the second trimester than now) So I'd recommend them.

Lmxo, I was thinking about kicking the bottom shelf out of anger rather than having any practical purpose. My mum stopped going to Tescos after they moved fair-trade bananas to the top shelf out of her reach. Grin a lot of psychology goes into supermarket design, the best stuff they have no problem selling is on the top or bottom shelf. Sweets toddler Height... I'm not looking forward to shopping with a toddler, I might just not, husband can do it or we can do click and collect.

mustbemad17 · 16/05/2018 13:58

I've just ordered myself one 🙂 willing to give anything a go right now. My MW assistant left me some 1ml syringes today so that come Friday i can start expressing colostrum...apparently you can't do this earlier than 37 as it could kickstart labour.

So come Friday i have a whole host of plans;

Accupuncture
Expressing colostrum
Ball bouncing
Trampoline bouncing
Sex - if DP plays ball
Crab walking up the stairs

I'm not fed up at all, i promise 😆

Embracethechaos · 16/05/2018 14:00

Haha, I've not heard of crab walking up the stairs.

mustbemad17 · 16/05/2018 14:05

It's literally just walking sideways up & down the stairs haha. A friend swore by it so it's worth a shot i figure

lmx0 · 16/05/2018 14:16

@WreckItRach mine have thankfully 😊
@readysetcake enjoy!!!

@CremeDeSudoi think im the same carrying low and the weight of baby is pushing down and growing hence the tiredness 😴
@mustbemad17 your dp needs to SHUSH!!! 😂 after that comment he has making up to do so he may play ball lol
@Embracethechaos that makes sense!!!

readysetcake · 16/05/2018 14:18

Ooo not heard of crab walking @mustbemad17 That’s one to try! I’ve tried expressing but nothings coming out. I did this last time and two days later I gave birth so must persevere with it.

@embracethechaos I still have my toddler sitting in the trolley and ply her with the free fruit Tesco’s offer. I’m dreading the day she won’t fit and think I’ll have to go home delivery. Made me chuckle that your Mum boycott Tesco due to banana positioning Grin

mustbemad17 · 16/05/2018 14:26

Haha i reckon he will play ball tbh, i'm an insufferable house mate currently 🙈 i'm leaking big time atm so hoping the expressing produces the goods - both in terms of colostrum & in making small sir realises that the eviction notice is really real 😆

I love the banana stance, she does right!! Supermarkets suck at thinking about people haha

Embracethechaos · 16/05/2018 14:40

Oh yes my mums a dedicated early Saturday morning sainsburys shopper now. Grin even though its a further drive.

Embracethechaos · 16/05/2018 14:42

Supermarkets should provide step stools for little people. Grin

Embracethechaos · 16/05/2018 14:48

I'm still in pj's and it's 3pm. My. Plan was to have a bath then get dressed, instead the pyjamas are back on as the wind has picked up and going out is very unappealing. I have reached a new low.

mustbemad17 · 16/05/2018 14:54

Embrace at least you're wearing clothes...i am shamelessly in pants & a vest 😂 it is too warm (for ordinary folk this weather is just right), my stomach hates any pressure & none of my clothes fit. God help if anybody knocks on my door 🙈

I have done some jobs in the house tho so i'm happy 😂

Embracethechaos · 16/05/2018 15:14

When I say PJs I meant a vert top and maternaty PJ bottoms, then vest and pants and a dressing gown as It's just right temprture here today, my husband will probally come home and wander why I've got the windows all open...now I'm changed but I'll be in school traffic if I go shopping now...

Embracethechaos · 16/05/2018 15:17

*vest. I have had parcels arrive when I've been in bed just in pants, I quikly grabbed something to wear and had to chase the postman by the time I made it to the door...he was scared of my dog and wanted me to close my door but I'm definatly the more scary one, I just pulled it to but had to go to the frount gate as I'd retreated out of the garden alllready. Dog just looked bemused and went back to bed.

readysetcake · 16/05/2018 15:40

Haha Grin hate the mad dash to the postman when half dressed. I’ve gone in a towel before. Poor chap didn't know where to look.

I’m thinking I should have followed your example ladies and not left the house today. Went for a wander in town to try and stay active and now my hips are in agony. Bloody SPD. But I was going a bit stir crazy. Not really left the house for days.
