Following on from the Itchy & bitchy 2nd trimester thread!

I'm now 25 + 6 weeks, so very nearly 6 months gone! 3 months remaining...

Morning sickness is still very present and I've been reminded of this 4-8 times a day all week.

On the plus side- movements are now very regular and I love them! Much lower down than I remember DC1 being- lots of bladder kicks which are /not/ fun.

Hows everyone else doing with the 3rd trimester?

@LMX0
@CremeDeSudo

How are you two getting along?? Grin

I was craving coconuts and oats (used in aveno) so bought coconut toiletries, and it's been good for my skin and relaxation. Also bought sanex as it's perfume and colour free, esspesally designed for allergies but doesn't dry anyone's skin out whether or not they have allergies.

lmx0 · 14/05/2018 20:49

@Embracethechaos ohh youve your pram lucky you!!! Mine isnt getting delivered until around the 20th of June! Thats a good idea and u can push your shopping home!! You should try and eat plenty you need all your cals and 200 extra in the 3rd trimester
@HolyShmoly welcome have u mentioned the rash to your mw? I bet you cannot wait until you finsh

HolyShmoly · 14/05/2018 21:14

Thanks all. Yep, went to the doctor last week and got prescribed betnovate. DH also made me go to the mat assessment centre too and they took bloods for parvovirus (even though it looks nothing like it) and I'm going to check with midwife on Thursday too if it still hasn't gone away. I REFUSE to give up chocolate though, there's some lines I'm just not willing to cross.
I've got a list of things I need to finish for work, so that should speed things up.

Embrace, my bubs has been engaged to some degree since week 31 at the latest. She moves in and out of position, as the man said, I can tell by the way I walk my walk/waddle. My sister was the same and she went over, so I wouldn't worry about it.

mustbemad17 · 14/05/2018 21:18

Aveeno is superb for skin issues, i have some irritation on my hands that it helps dramatically. Sod giving up chocolate, i gave up alcohol for this baby, if i lose chocolate as well i might kill someone 😂

Embracethechaos · 14/05/2018 21:34

Haha, I don't give it up but reducing the amount I'm eating. I wasn't allowed it when I was very little as it gave me ezsma all up my back. Probably why I'm such a chocoholic now. When I eat a lot of chocolate my hands are cracked the next day. So sadly for me chocolate is most likely the cause. I'm trying alternatives, eg cockie dough frij rather than chocolate. I thought cookie dough flavour was disgusting and sickly before I was pregnant but quite enjoy it now. It also has more milk and less sugar.. I did spend about 10 minutes staring at both bottles in Tescos the other day to pick which one.

lmx0 · 14/05/2018 22:04

@HolyShmoly i knew i recognised your name!! We were both on the conception thread 'jumping on the crazy train for the first time........ ALL ABOARD FOR THE 2WW!

lmx0 · 14/05/2018 22:05

I agree ladies i wouldn't be giving up chocolate either!!! Hope you get your skin sorted @HolyShmoly

HolyShmoly · 14/05/2018 22:36

@lmx0 how are you doing? I think we were on another pregnancy group when we moved over to here as well! Are you late June/early July?

lmx0 · 14/05/2018 22:42

@HolyShmoly oh were we!!! Goodness its hard to keep track of everyone on here isnt it!! Im good thanks how are you? Im late July when are you due?

readysetcake · 15/05/2018 08:04

39+1 and feel like I will always be pregnant 😩 my friend who just turned 38 weeks had her baby yesterday in a 3 hour labour. It’s made me feel very hard done by. Totally unreasonable, but feeling very emotional and down. So fed up of being in pain and uncomfortable, not sleeping and obsessing about the welling being of the baby. I feel like I’m in ground hog day and I could still have a few weeks to go. Pretty miserable today ladies. Even the beautiful blue sky isn’t cheering me up 😪

mustbemad17 · 15/05/2018 08:05

Good morning ladies how we doing? Grey & gloomy here 😭 i have had a very poor night's sleep, little sir was very active & his destination appears to have been the downwards direction; he has definitely dropped. Taking it as a positive sign whoop

CremeDeSudo · 15/05/2018 09:48

Morning all

I need a rant.

My Mum and Nan came over on Sunday for dinner and as soon as they arrived they started commenting on my bump. Bear in mind, I'm self conscious of how big I am and how low I carry (same with DS as I am this time). As soon as they come in - 'Look at the size of you!', 'You sure there's only one in there?', 'You're definitely lower this time than you were with DS'.

How do women (one 64 and one 88!) not know it's considered rude or inappropriate to comment on women's bumps?!

I asked them to stop commenting as I'm self conscious and they dropped it. But it's still annoying me! Sad

mustbemad17 · 15/05/2018 10:41

Ah Creme big hugs, i know how you feel. Everyone tells me there must be two in there because i'm soooo big (pretty sure there is only one!). My mum saw me for the first time in a while & her first comment was 'hello fatty' Hmm

The comments i can let wash...but when people start trying to touch the bump? The claws come out...

GottaBeStrong · 15/05/2018 10:49

@lmxo no I wasn't but I have a fibroid about the size of a grapefruit blocking baby's exit so am waiting for confirmation at 36 week scan that I definitely need a c section. So far at every growth scan it's not moved.

I spent all of yesterday sleeping as this cold, cough, sore throat thing has definitely set in and got the better of me. Hoping I can shake it off soon off if I just keep resting.

CremeDeSudo · 15/05/2018 10:58

I think I must give off 'stay away from the bump' vibes because that's one thing I've never had a problem with fortunately. I'm pretty sure I would punch anyone who touched me! lol

mustbemad17 · 15/05/2018 11:03

I thought i had resting bitch face mastered but apparently not. I was in the supermarket talking to someone i knew & a little old lady approached me & stuck both hands on my bump. Obviously punching an old lady would be totally uncouth so i gritted my teeth but i wanted to scream at her tbh 🙈

Paie · 15/05/2018 11:39

Bump comments don't tend to irk me too much- the touching definitely does though!
It's never okay to randomly place your hands on anyone's belly/chest/legs/body so why on earth does common politeness and personal space awareness go out the window just because you're pregnant!

Luckily I've only had ONE person touching my bump- and he caught me by surprise- and also didn't linger- maybe the resting bitch face helped with that.

Soo onto the moany side-

I peed myself a little this morning Blush
Massive sneeze and whooops. Changed pants and packed a spare pair to go to work with....
I'm not even 25 yet how has my bladder given up?!
Anti D injection on Friday... though apparently they don't stab it into your butt anymore?

mustbemad17 · 15/05/2018 11:47

Sneezing is bloody dangerous!! I had a sneezing fit the other day & i actually had a wonder as to how the baby was still inside...it felt like he was coming out full force Grin

lmx0 · 15/05/2018 11:56

@readysetcake awww poor you and what a lucky cow your friend is!! Its understandable that you could feeling 'it was my turn first!' I more than likely would be too!! Sofa and Netflix day might be a good idea?
@mustbemad17 its grey and gloomy here too!! Im feeling rather lazy today again!! Ohh im sure your tired!!
@CremeDeSudo awwww creme you can rant away and rightly so it dosent matter who said woman is no one should comment on anyones bump apart from saying how lovely it is!! But at least they dropped it when asked
@mustbemad17 😱 how rude!! I have noticed the bump touching although how unexpected it always is doesn't bother me too much it more the not asking and rubbing away!! Eehh excuse me!!
@GottaBeStrong awww no way that sounds uncomfortable?! Hopefully it moves!! Rest is your best friend when ill

Do you ladies want a laugh at my baby brain?! I went to get fuel for my car yday (we got a new car 2 months ago) and on way to garage i kept telling myself tank is on drivers side (was on other side on other car) so pulled up waited my turn, got out lifted the nozzle had to fight with the cap so put the nozzle down then lifted it again nozzle in and started to fill, happened to look at the little door and it says in black deasil and what nozzle have i put in? The green petrol!! Thankfully it was only 36p worth but still!! And yes you guessed it my last 2 car gave been petrol!!!

lmx0 · 15/05/2018 12:00

@Paie ive been doing that since the early weeks!!! Im also under 25!! Ive mine thurs and dreading it!! No they dont its into the upper arm it has to go into muscle i had to get some at 19 weeks due to a fall
@mustbemad17 😂😂 that made me lol ive had hay-fever (i think/hope) so ive felt this way a few times!!

Paie · 15/05/2018 12:12

@lmx0 thank god its not in the bum anymore- with DD it was and it hurt sooo much! I hated it! Not a fan of needles as it is!

Baby brain is taking over my life-

  • made broccoli & Stilton soup, left it in microwave to cool. That was yesterday and I've just remembered it never made it to the fridge
-lost my phone for a few hours- it was in the fridge -put the kettle in the fridge to boil

I’ve come for a moan: 41 weeks today! Had a sweep five days ago and lost a fair bit of my plug the day after but I think I must have a very comfortable uterus as this baby is not coming out. I’m in two minds about having another sweep this week as it was really not nice, but also really don’t want to be induced (which is booked for Sunday unless SOMEONE decides to get out of me before then). UGH Sad
My DH is being lovely and understanding though, dealing with all the calls and messages, and buying me pineapples. He took a day off work to spend with me doing fun things because I have been miserable and emotional.
Hope everyone is doing well with heat/sun/work/life on top of pregnancy!

WreckItRach · 15/05/2018 12:34

@readysetcake that's shit. I agree with @lmx0 , Netflix, sofa and ice cream!!!
@Paie it's on your upper arm, it does ache a bit for the rest of the day but it's not bad.

@lmx0 that made me laugh! At least you noticed!! I was cleaning the kitchen sides yesterday and for some reason squirted sun cream on them rather than cleaned!! Muppet.

I'm struggling a bit with pelvic pain today and I feel like I'm about to come on with the heaviest period everrrr.

WreckItRach · 15/05/2018 12:37

Ah @pumpkinmamma sorry it didn't work. I've never had one so don't know how uncomfortable it is but maybe worth another go?
Your DH sounds like a good egg! I hope you manage to have a nice day together and he can take your mind off it x

lmx0 · 15/05/2018 12:53

@Paie unless when its the really big dose it is in the bum hopefully not!! Ill let you know after i have mine!! Aww no your soup sounds lovely too!! I had a real chuckle at putting the kettle in the fridge 😂 @pumpkinmamma ohh you poor thing!! I hope someone gets the message about being evicted very soon!! Thats good you have a very caring and loving DH @WreckItRach at least your kitchen smelt lovely!! I was in boots yesterday and walked down the suncream isle and the smell of suncream oh it was the nicest smell ever i could have stood there all day!!! Hope the pain passes!!
