@Cakelaur bless your heart. With regards to the present situation, I totally hear you.
My parents are the most wonderful, generous people and I never mean this in a nasty way but my mum had a tendency to buy loads of little bits and bobs that I don’t need.
But it annoys me more because I’d rather her not waste her money but I know she does it because she feels like it’s what makes me happy.
She’s one of those people that has to spend exactly the same on each of my siblings in fear of treating one to slightly more then the other. It’s only coz she loves us so much. I’m not that picky and I couldn’t care less but they are our parents and your mum and dad maybe felt like they wanted to see your face when you opened them as is nicer to give gifts then just money.
Even though it’s totally understandable why you would have preferred the cash.
But yes hormones are a bitch.
It’s mad isn’t it, because we then feel guilty for moaning because we know they only do it coz they love us but it’s frustrating.

@Vickileigh6 there’s a paper clip icon at the bottom underneath the writing box but if your a new member then it won’t appear straight away. New members can’t upload pictures for some reason x x

I know this has probably been asked before and possibly by me but I know you ladies have had miscarriages but have you all been having sex ? Sorry to ask such a personal question 😕 I'm 9w2d and too scared but really want to be close with OH x

@leanne9312 we have - I see no reason not unless you have a medical reason that it's not advised.

Admittedly not quite as often as were were when TTC but I can actually enjoy sex again now.

@Cakelaur don't feel bad, I would be upset too if my oh didn't come and see me on my bday if he had the chance! He probably didn't think it through properly..and as for all those flamingoes 😩 that's so ok! It's understandable to want something of use not just tons of flamingo random junk! Am sure it was all coming from the right place 💕 but I totally get what you mean about wasteful presents - just not needed!
Hope you're feeling ok, these hormones play such a big part in our lives once pregnant and there's nothing really we can do except go with it. Hope your oh is back from the wedding and home with you now xx

@leanne9312 we haven't. I'm nearly 10 weeks and I'm too scared to. I said if wait until the 8 weeks scan but now I'm thinking 12 weeks. I'm just trying to do everything different from last time. We carried on having sex like normal last time. I know it's not doing to harm the baby but it's more that I don't wanna see spotting and start panicking. Once all is good at 12 weeks I'll really relax I hope. Got a 10+4scan on Friday and then 12 weeks scan on 6th June. So not long to go. I just do a lot of cuddling and then occasionally sort my other half out 😉 but I also get really sick in the evenings so he doesn't really bring it up bless him.

Thanks @MagicalCreatures and @BabynameEdie I know I was just being silly about the presents. I talked to my OH and he was heartbroken that I got upset. Bless him. He hasn't got a bad bone in his body, and I think he felt really bad. As for the flamingos... I guess I'll just add them to all the other flamingo things in a cupboard somewhere!! Haha! My mum is very similar to your @MagicalCreatures she always wants to buy little things. She buys them throughout the whole year and saves them up!! So the shoes and bag were actually meant to be for Xmas but she's bought me too much so saved them for my birthday!! 🙈

@Cakelaur yea I was thinking of waiting till my 12 week scan too on June 7 although il not be 12 weeks exactly and I know what you mean about the spotting it would really scare me !!

@peachesarenom - sorry to hear, definitely call the EPU so they can check you. Do you have pain as well or just blood? Doesn’t always mean the worst, I’ve seen many people who bled and went on to have healthy pregnancies. Fingers crossed for you xx

Thank you everyone. I called epu through the night no answer phone. Today they said it should have gone through to gynae. Anyway, no slots, so I have to wait till tomorrow. I might get a private scan. Bleeding has stopped. I don't think it was that much now actually. Fingers crossed.

Oh @peachesarenom I'm so sorry bub is scaring you right now!! I have everything crossed for you. I'm sure it's just a little wriggler in there. Also are you around the time your period should be? Epu told me that my bleed around 8 weeks could be around the time AF should show. They said it may happen around 12 weeks too. Xx

@Cakelaur I hope bub is just scaring me too. I think it could be around the time my period would be due. I've booked an emergency private scan at 11:15am so hopefully it'll be good news.

Ohhh @peachesarenom I'm sure everything is fine, but how scary for you. As others have said plenty of people have bleeding for no reason but sounds like a scan will be reassuring all the same. Keeping everything crossed x

@Cakelaur I totally hear you on the flamingos thing... you know their heart is in right place but it feels perplexing! My MIL often buys me things with faux fur and I can't work out why she's settled on that as a theme...

I have been feeling ok and then yesterday was so so sick. I know it's a good sign but oh, it is EXHAUSTING. Anyone else just wanting to sleep 18 hours a day?!

@kaytees yup. I literally don't wanna get out of bed. And if I do. I'm sick!! Haha!! So I figure it's better to just stop going to work!! 😂

@Cakelaur noooo, you're further along than me, I wanted you to say yours had disappeared! Sounds like you're really suffering. I only do one full day a week of work (the rest is self employed) but I am absolutely dreading going in tomorrow. No idea how to cover it up if I'm still this sick!

I am so paranoid re few symptoms.

I have bear no symptoms bar being tired (I always am lol) and no period.

I am turning into a crazy lady and just done another test at work (dam Poundland being opposite work haha!).

Eurgh think I'm loosing the plot!

Actually quite surprised at how nervous I am.

I think as I know I have a borderline thyroid issue currently under investigation and just the stress of the last 7-8 months has just all built up.

Hope everyone else is well - Please tell me I'm not the only prat still peri on a stick!

So so relieved for you - It's just one worry after another but that scan photo is amazing.

Roll on the first 12 weeks flying past as I know that's when I'm hoping to feel abit less worried hoping lol

@Patienceofatoddler I haven't done any tests for a few weeks (a CB digital dated me at further than I was and caused so much stress!) but they lie in my bathroom cabinet taunting me..
