@Primrose16 Thankyou, I'm sorry for your losses fingers crossed everything's ok , you have every right to worry and maybe call the epu if that would help xx

kaytees · 01/05/2018 20:07

@Primrose16 owwww, not the response you were hoping for from him! Sadly I think some men come at this type of thing from a 'logic' perspective which just isn't useful a lot of the time. Though I do think the EPU would see you, and as you say if it'd help settle your nerves then it's worth a shot!

In an unrelated question.., are any of you london dwellers and if so, how early is too early to start with the 'baby on board' badge in your opinion?

lolli18 · 01/05/2018 20:37

@kaytees no County Durham lol probably the only one 😕 what's the baby on board badge

Primrose16 · 01/05/2018 20:56

@kaytees nope West Yorkshire, Leeds here. I suppose it’s personal preference. If you feel that you need it and will help.

Cakelaur · 01/05/2018 21:21

@kaytees I not a public transport taker. But I'd say as soon as your happy letting people know you're pregnant. Cos friends or family or work colleagues may see it pinned on you. So I'd say once you've announced

Ooh we are spread far and wide! Don't worry someone started a thread on the badges so I've taken my questions over there. I have heard both County Durham and West Yorkshire are very beautiful, lucky you guys having such gorgeous scenery.

@Cakelaur the fear of running into someone from work is my big issue, especially as I have a meeting about my contract in the next few weeks!

Martydog · 01/05/2018 21:28

@lolli18 great scan picture. How many weeks are you?
I'm not from London any more I live in Manchester but I'm intrigued do you mean the one that goes in your car?

lolli18 · 01/05/2018 21:29

@Martydog I'm 6w 5d , how far are you xx

lolli18 · 01/05/2018 21:31

@kaytees yea it's nice in places I suppose everywhere is like that

Martydog · 01/05/2018 21:35

@lolli18 I'm 6+4 so a day behind you. I am having another scan a week tomorrow. I had one last week but they only saw the yolk sac.

lolli18 · 01/05/2018 21:55

@Martydog oh exiting you will have to post it t compare lol not sure why haha

I had to have internal one though ewwww

Maggi85 · 01/05/2018 23:05

Hi I am meant to be going to Barcelona this weekend on a hen party - I am very reluctant to go as it’s going to be 30 girls with a weekend full of alcohol, it’s a very early flight and I’m really struggling with tiredness at the moment. I’ve had 3 previous mc and I’m taking progesterone to help this pregnancy.
I’m not ready to tell people yet and I know
That if I’m not drinking people will be asking questions - I feel I need to drop out and just look after myself. Any advice or thoughts please
X

Cakelaur · 02/05/2018 05:03

@Maggi85 I think go with how you feel. I know with how knackered I feel I would probably cancel. But most people around me know I'm pregnant again as I've stepped back from work a bit and close friends and family know as we'll need their support if it goes wrong again. Can you maybe just just your friend who's hen it is? I'm sure she'll understand. And ask her for obvious reasons to keep it to herself. I hope you find some kind of solution that works for you. Xx

@xLeanne128 did you call Epu?
@Athers666 right there with you with the tired thing!! I sleep all the time! And if I'm not sleeping I'm eating!! And if I'm not doing either of these thing then I'm nauseous. And that's how I spend my days!! Haha

OP posts:
Athers666 · 02/05/2018 06:25

@Cakelaur Glad it's not just me! I just fantasise all the time about when I can next sleep!

Cakelaur · 02/05/2018 06:43

@Athers666 I've got a month off work. First two weeks were spent with our new puppy, this week I'm in Mauritius and next week I'm settling puppy back in again (he went back to the breeder for a week 🙈 we didn't plan our trip very well) so I litterally couldn't have been less busy!!! And I know I'm lucky!! There is NO way I could have been at work!! I'm dreading going back in a couple weeks. My OH wants me to just step back completely, but I run my own business and I'm only going back part time because of the puppy. And then I'll phase myself out for when baby gets here. Hoping second trimester is easier. 🤞🏻I get that far!!
What do you do work wise?

OP posts:
Athers666 · 02/05/2018 06:52

@cakelaur ooh a whole month! It will fly by of course, typical! So jealous of the new puppy lol, how cute.
I work in a customer service role which ranges from quiet to full on manic, and also have a part time cleaning job as well which I'm finding so tiring. It's light duties really but it's a struggle with the tiredness! I used to zip around and now I'm plodding! Seven weeks today, just praying that sticky bean is alright in there. I do get queasy at times, but haven't actually been sick yet and it is short lived and mild. Boobs are a little sore now in the mornings and at night although again, relatively mild still.

Cakelaur · 02/05/2018 07:10

Gosh I struggle to be awake to take the puppy out to wee!! I dunno how you manage two jobs!! Not surprised you're tired!! I'm just over 7 now. Although my first scan showed me a little earlier. But she kept my dates the same as she said they're always a little out at 5-6weeks.

BobbySD345 · 02/05/2018 07:53

I seem to be ok at work until after lunch and then I'm nodding off at my desk ! 3pm onwards I'm not productive at all

Jealous of puppy and holiday @cakelaur ! What kind of puppy is it ?

lolli18 · 02/05/2018 07:56

Aw I'm jealous too I'm only off in summer holidays :(

xLeanne128 · 02/05/2018 08:13

No @cakelaur figured there's nothing they can do really. Had scan on Sunday, not had any pain it was brown and it seems to of stopped. No more 'o's for me!!!! Been googling apparently it's really common to spot after orgasm and people have been told to avoid by doctors. I've got booking appointment on Tuesday so ill speak to midwife. If i get anymore i wil ring epu or midwife for reassurance. Has your spotting stopped? Xx

Cakelaur · 02/05/2018 08:43

@xLeanne128 at least it's only brown. Could be old blood from the scan to be fair. I think that's what mine was. I'm to scared to have sex yet. Poor OH. But I've said I just don't feel comfortable until the 8 week scan. Especially with all the spotting. I know it's not harmful to the baby, but I just don't wanna disturb anything as the spotting makes me panic. Once we see a heartbeat next week I'll relax a little. Luckily for now the spotting has stopped.

@BobbySD345 he's a Saint Bernard. So he's gonna be a big boy!!!

OP posts:
xLeanne128 · 02/05/2018 11:06

@cakelaur my scan wasn't an internal though. Suppose I'll just have to wait and see! Nothing else I can do x

Littleblueberry · 02/05/2018 11:22

Hello ladies. I'm 5 weeks pregnant after a miscarriage last summer. Im booked in for a scan next Thursday. Wish me luck. I really hope this one sticks
