@BobbySD345 that sounds awful. The EPU told me that there was a 2 weeks wait for a D+C which is why I opted for the pessary’s. I didn’t wanna be walking around for 2 weeks with a dead baby inside of me. I think it’s disgraceful.
But it didn’t go to plan anyway so what a waste of time that was. I’ve got a complaint going through with the PALS team. Because despite everything else that happened, after I had the scrape, they gave me 3 minutes to get dressed (I was in agony) and then sat me in a waiting room full of women breastfeeding their newborn babies fresh out the maternity ward. I wanted to scream.

Also, I have a bmi of 29. Almost obese. (Ridiculous since I’ve lost a stone since my last pregnancy and I’m back into size 14 jeans) how can they say size 14 is almost obese 😩
So I’m taking 2 lots of 400mcg of folic acid. Haven’t been told I need a 5mg dose coz I suppose my bmi is under 30.
Do you think that’s ok?

kaytees · 26/04/2018 12:22

Hello... can I (nervously) join you all? @MagicalCreatures was kind enough to recommend this thread to me, and having had a quick read you all sound incredibly supportive!

Quick version: I have a 2year Old DS, and had a chemical pregnancy over last Christmas (had been TTC since August) which totally knocked me and i felt unwell up until about March. Was sent for progesterone bloods etc which said I wasn't ovulating etc but we continued to ttc. Fast forward to now... I got a reasonably strong BFP at 10DPO! If I'm going by LMP my due date is 26/12. I'm very anxious about it (in case that wasn't obvious!) but crossing everything that this little bean sticks as I found the chemical so horrific.

BobbySD345 · 26/04/2018 12:55

@MagicalCreatures that is awful ! I had a feedback form for our unit and although all the staff and doctors were brilliant and looked after me well. I was put in a room next to a newborn and all the nurses were cooing over it saying how much it looked like daddy. I just broke down whenever I heard it. Very inconsiderate. There are articles online about how EPUs are being used wrongly as overflow wards and are also allowing young children on when they shouldn't.

I'm 30 BMI and I'm on 5mg so maybe it has to be 30 plus and you are just under ?

@kaytees welcome ! 10dpo positive wow !!! That's fab ! Your HCG levels must be good xx

MagicalCreatures · 26/04/2018 12:55

Hi @kaytees
Great to see you here. If you need anything just ask x x

kaytees · 26/04/2018 13:50

Thank you both - I'm hoping the hcg levels are a good sign, same thing happened with DS.

You both sound like you've had horrific experiences in the EPU, just awful! I hope your complaints get listened to.

Beck1988 · 26/04/2018 14:32

Well it might be the start of the end for me? Went to the toilet in work b4 and when I wiped red blood spot (almost like a very small clot but dried up) but defo red! Had a few pulling stretching pains today and next few toilet trips was pink but gone now? This is how it started last time spotted for day then stopped then started again a few days later! 💔

BobbySD345 · 26/04/2018 15:55

@Beck1988 how far gone are you again? Head to EPU and ask them to have a look. Plenty of people have bleeding and bean is all OK. We are here to chat if you need us. Sending you lots of good luck and happy thoughts xxx

Primrose16 · 26/04/2018 17:12

@Beck1988 sending positive vibes your way. Hope everything okay

Beck1988 · 26/04/2018 20:53

Thanks girls, gonna see how I am in the morning or over weekend? Suppose if it is start of miscarriage they couldn't do anything anyway. I'm 5 +4 today so on Sunday il be 6 weeks so if they offered me scan next week they could possibly see more. Keep getting weird cramping/ pulling which I no can be normal but I just can't keep thinking what if it's not! 😞

BobbySD345 · 26/04/2018 21:07

@Beck1988 I have quite bad pains tonight but I've only just sat down having stripped the beds and hoovered cleaned the bathroom etc so hoping I've just over done it and need a rest.

Get some rest yourself and keep us posted. Sending positive bean vibes xx

Maggi85 · 26/04/2018 21:12

Hi all hope I’m ok to join I haven’t been in any of the miscarriage groups as only recently become a member - I have had 3 mc’s last one was a mmc at 16 weeks in December the first two were very early approx 7/8 weeks. I’m pregnant again due approx 20th Dec have had a early scan and saw a little heartbeat currently on progesterone to help the bean stick x hope we all get the rainbow babies we deserve xx

BobbySD345 · 26/04/2018 21:45

@Maggi85 welcome :) so sorry to hear about your mcs. I thought I was also due around 20th but midwife says I'm more like 4 weeks unless there is a problem because the sac is empty and only around 3mm when measured on Monday.
How are you feeling? Any symptoms? X

Maggi85 · 27/04/2018 06:34

Thanks @BobbySD345 only sore boobs and very tired - do you have any symptoms? Will you be able to get another check again soon?xx

MagicalCreatures · 27/04/2018 08:02

@BobbySD345 what is wrong with the EPU units now. Seriously it’s all going so down hill. Surely it’s common sense not to do that to someone.

@Beck1988 I’m so sorry Hun. You must be petrified. Stay strong. How you feeling now?

I really do believe the stats are a load of rubbish. It seems much more common for some women to have multiple miscarriages then they make out.

Primrose16 · 27/04/2018 08:39

Morning all, I wish I had never tested now. Ignorance was bliss. I’m forever knicker checking as I constantly feel wet. Feel so sick this morning but equally getting cramping. Argh!

MagicalCreatures · 27/04/2018 08:54

Week my HCG has gone from 2739 - 5407 in 48 hours so that’s good. Nearly doubled.
But my progesterone is 83!!!!!
Have any of you had it that high before.

Cakelaur · 27/04/2018 10:09

Oooh @MagicalCreatures that sound really
Good.
I on the other hand have gushing blood when I 💩!! Waiting for GP to call me back. This is just horrendous!

MagicalCreatures · 27/04/2018 11:22

From the front or the back. X

xLeanne128 · 27/04/2018 12:14

Cakelaur · 27/04/2018 12:27

From the back. From the front is just brown spotting.

OP posts:
xLeanne128 · 27/04/2018 12:29

Hope your ok @cakelaur x

MagicalCreatures · 27/04/2018 12:36

@Cakelaur oh god you poor thing. Are you constipated?
Sorry to be from and for TMI but I have a lovely little anal fissure (which might as well have its own name) due to constipation for years and I’ve also had some blood from the back end after a bowel movement the last few days.
The doctors always say, as long as it’s red fresh blood then it’s ok. It’s usually caused by a tear or piles etc. If it’s brown old sticky blood then that’s when you need to worry.
Have you heard back from the docs yet? X

kaytees · 27/04/2018 12:51

Oh @Cakelaur that is really scary. I hope you can get seen very quickly and be reassured - our bodies do very weird things in pregnancy and we need that reassurance.

@MagicalCreatures those hcg levels... I'm definitely wondering if it's twins x

Martydog · 27/04/2018 14:43

@Cakelaur hope you get things sorted
I have just got my hcg levels back 7275 gone to 11296 in 48 hours.
How many weeks are you @MagicalCreatures?

lolli18 · 27/04/2018 14:45

@xLeanne128 hope everything's ok , thinking of you
