Oh dear. I have got my blood test results. My HCG levels are very high (over 36,000 when the norm is 28,000 at 6 weeks). I know high HCG levels can indicate the baby has Down's syndrome. I am terrified this baby will have a chromosomal anomaly like the boy I lost.
There is no way to know before I can do the Harmony test, is there?.

Cakelaur · 24/04/2018 20:13

@NotBurpeesAgain is it defo not twins?

OP posts:
NotBurpeesAgain · 24/04/2018 20:54

@Cakelaur I had not thought about twins Blush
Please, no! We already have 3 DCs, I cannot imagine having 5.
I am calling the pregnancy unit first thing tomorrow to try to get an early scan. I don't know if going private is an option in France.
Thanks for your answer. Good night.

Just to make me panic that little bit more, if that is even possible right now. I had blood tests last week because after my MC I had to take iron for 3-4 months and the doctor rang me this PM saying I need to go in for an app 😮 ...last time they just wrote sending a prescription in the post. Panic central !

Cakelaur · 24/04/2018 23:17

@BobbySD345 breathe babe. It could be something really simple like you need an iron supplement or something. Don't panic just yet. It's not always bad news. Be open minded. I know it's easier said than done. But you need to stay positive for this little bean. Xx

NotBurpeesAgain · 25/04/2018 07:43

Flowers @Martydog
Is it enough to go to an EPU?

Cakelaur · 25/04/2018 08:32

@Martydog go straight to Epu babe. Same happened to me and I got some reassurance.

OP posts:
Cakelaur · 25/04/2018 09:15

OP posts:
Beck1988 · 25/04/2018 09:21

@martydog hope ur ok! 🤞You can get into epu today and everything's ok!
@cakelaur has ur spotting stopped now? When are you back at hospital/doctors? X

MagicalCreatures · 25/04/2018 09:23

Cakelaur oooo what new additions? Where? Who? X

Cakelaur · 25/04/2018 09:31

@Beck1988 my spotting has stopped. Still got cramping but I think that's just baby growing and stuff. Next appointment is 8+4 (11th May) once I'm back from holiday. At that point I should be able to massively relax.
@MagicalCreatures a few of the ladies from the 'ttc after mc' thread (this is the follow on thread for that one) got bfps today!! Eek!

OP posts:
MagicalCreatures · 25/04/2018 09:33

Cakelaur oh really. That’s exciting!!! X

NotBurpeesAgain · 25/04/2018 10:25

@Cakelaur I also have an appointment on 11th May! I must have sounded really desperate on the phone, because they normally don't see you before the 12-week scan.

Martydog · 25/04/2018 10:37

Just had a scan everything looks fine but I have to have another scan in a week or two as she said it was too early to see the heartbeat. Grin

natashalouise87 · 25/04/2018 10:42

Hey hope it's ok for me to join this thread. First pregnancy and found out I was pregnant 13/04. Due date is 15/12 so am 6+4. Booked an early scan which we're having tomorrow as we have been trying for 3yrs and just want the reassurance as dr doesn't want to see me, midwife still a couple of weeks away and nhs scan 12wk booked for 4/06 (told it was unlikely to happen). Few symptoms, sore boobs, bloated tummy, peeing lots and stretching feeling across tummy but no sickness. Am so anxious about the everything especially with the MC rates. Just really hoping to see something positive on the scan tomorrow! 🤞🏻🤞🏻
Congratulations to you all - definitely the best Christmas present I could have hoped for (so long as everything ok!!)

Cakelaur · 25/04/2018 11:16

Yes @Martydog I'm so pleased for ya!!! Great news!!

OP posts:
Cakelaur · 25/04/2018 11:16

OP posts:
NotBurpeesAgain · 25/04/2018 11:42

@Martydog you must be so relieved!

MagicalCreatures · 25/04/2018 12:42

That fab news @Martydog. What a relief. How many weeks are you? X

Martydog · 25/04/2018 12:55

@magicalcreatures I'm 5 weeks.

MagicalCreatures · 25/04/2018 13:19

@Martydog so that’s perfectly normal not to hear a heartbeat yet but atleast everything is where it should be x x x

BobbySD345 · 25/04/2018 14:08

Welcome @natashalouise87 how far gone do you think you are ? I found out on 13th too and I'm just hoping it's not a bad omen!

@Martydog I'm so glad everything is Ok I bet you panicked ! Do your dates match with what they think based on the scan?

@Cakelaur thank you hun. I'm getting myself all worked up over hopefully nothing. Hard when you feel all the symptoms but you're fearing the worst

Lots of love ladies xx
