Potty shots/sex of baby

Is this a potty shot?
And if so what gender is baby?
I have no idea what I'm looking at but going through my scan photos this is the only thing that looks similar to other peoples "potty shots"

Can you see that the solid mass (the baby) is a sideways "U" shape?

Imagine your baby is sitting, bare bottomed on a glass table. The two upright parts of the sideways "U" shape are her thighs. At the bottom of the "U" you can see the vulva and then inside of the bowel. Ultrasound like this produces a 2D image so it's as though it's a slice through the body, that's why you can't see past the knees (they will be bent) or the chubby bit of the bottom which will be sticking out lower than this plane, you see inside the bowel instead.

@SomeKnobend I'm 30 weeks. I didn't ask because we haven't found out but I'm thinking it's a girl now..... unless this isn't a potty shot and is something else and she never said it was a potty shot I'm only assuming

@BertrandRussell yes sonographers screenshot between the legs to show you what gender it is no idea why it's called potty shot though

Yes, I know that ultrasound can show the sex of the baby and that you can get pictures. It’s calling it a “potty shot” that’s so utterly awful.

I can't bring myself to accept that it could possibly be a girl after being convinced it's a boy the whole pregnancy.. although I was convinced my son was a girl so what do I knowBlush

Similar snap here of “potty (sorry) shot” of a baby girl (see the three lines) you would more than likely see something else there by now it was a boy

Why did you not find out at 20 week scan? Particularly if you've assumed boy and it's not one?

The only reason I am curious now is after seeing this picture
