Thank you @emvy...we were discharged Sunday night. But she's not doing too well with her weight at the moment as she's not strong enough to get the full fat milk...She's too tired by the time it comes so we're on s force feeding plan and hope she's gained on Friday

laura1306 · 22/03/2018 02:43

Due 10th of April but came yesterday at 9:15 pm. Very bruised as he came out face first instead of doing the turn but looking good so far despite another 24 hours in here!

Ahh @laura he’s so cute. Bless him wanted to have a nosy at the outside world. My daughter was born the same way and had the matching bruise. It did go down quite quick I seem to remember. Hope your stay in isn’t too long

Rae2017 · 22/03/2018 06:36

Congratulations @laura. Super cute. Hope you two are well and out soon.

@emvy I was hoping to go up to 6th April as that's when our Easter hols begins and then I'm due 16th. But because it might be planned section because of breech I might finish next Thurs now. I don't fancy finishing work on the 6th anr then giving birth on the 9th. Ah I really hope the next 2 days you feel better and how cute that they are doing a baby shower.

@bez enjoy today as much as you can. Bet you are full of excitement and anticipation to meet your little girls tomorrow.

ICantThinkOfAGoodOne · 22/03/2018 06:48

@AnnaMadden and @laura1306

Congratulations to you both - a couple of cuties!

Regarding hvs and all that, a couple of women at my NCT class had a social worker come round to check the house - apparently that's quite normal here!

I haven't heard from them, but have had a letter from the hv team telling me they will be in contact at some point to arrange a visit in the next few weeks.

Bez9087 · 22/03/2018 07:04

@rae the nerves are kicking in now. Got my pre op today. Really starting to get nervous but can’t wait to meet my little ladies. The pains are unbearable today and last night so much back pain etc in ready for it to be over now.

Fieau · 22/03/2018 08:43

Good luck @bez9087 not long until you are snuggling those babies!

I had a terrible nights sleep last night. Finding myself quite anxious, not about anything in particular but I end up awake worrying about random things. Last night was worrying about my dog and how he's going to cope when the baby comes! Hmm
Does anyone else have a dog? I've read all the usual stuff about letting him smell the baby stuff etc. I'm just worried about him feeling confused/unloved Blush (I know I am being a bit ridiculous)

Pumpkinma · 22/03/2018 10:21

@laura1306 So gorgeous! Congratulations. Hope you're stay isn't too bad! I'm due on the 8th so exciting that little one could come any time! Hope you and family are doing well!

@Bez9087 Good luck for tomorrow! Hope you're not feeling to anxious! Not long till those little twins are in your arms ☺️

amysaurus87 · 22/03/2018 10:56

@laura1306 he's beautiful! Congratulations!

@bez good luck for tomorrow, not long now until you get lovely twin newborn snuggles!

CTGs have been good the last few days, but it's likely they are going to have me on twice weekly monitoring from now, assuming I'm not induced tomorrow! I don't think I will be, but that's for the consultant to decide. I've got a scan on Monday to check blood flow and fluid levels so I think they may well wait until then before making a decision. I've also got a growth scan for 38 weeks, assuming I make it that far!! Can't believe everything is coming round so fast now.

AnnaMadden · 22/03/2018 13:35

@laura1306 congratulations! He is absolutely adorable! 10th was my due date too! What did he weigh? He looks like a good weight! Enjoy your precious snuggles x

HarryHarry · 22/03/2018 13:52

laura1306 Congratulations, he's lovely! Is he your first? Your due date was the day after mine so now I'm worried I could go at any moment! Did you know you were going to deliver early?

@Bez9087 Good luck tomorrow, so excited for you Smile

Bez9087 · 22/03/2018 14:19

@fieau we have a dog. We had a different dog when my other two was born and he was amazing my partner brought home their first hats from first day and he had a good sniff etc of the hats and when baby came home he stayed well away. This time we have a new dog as our old one had a problem with his spine so had to have him put to sleep. I’m planning on doing the same for him letting dh bring the baby’s hats home first night so he can sniff them etc and get a smell for what each smell like.

Thanks ladies. Not long now at all. She said I’m the only section booked for tomorrow so should be down about 10/11. Can’t wait.

laura1306 · 22/03/2018 20:40

@AnnaMadden he was 8lb and above the 90th centile at 37 weeks!

@HarryHarry I was induced but when I went in I was already 3cm with bulging membranes and had been in early labour since Friday which I did have a feeling about!

MadRainbow · 22/03/2018 21:14

@laura1306 lots of congratulations, he looks so sweet!

@Bez good luck for tomorrow it's so exciting they gonna be here soon!

So been away again trying to get everything sorted and trying to escape the pains as much as poss. Today it would seem my pains are becoming more labour orientated, had a fair few that made me snappy and ridiculously uncomfortable; spoke to the delivery unit and they said it sounds like early labour despite no other signs. So fingers crossed I really haven't got long now...

DaisyLand · 22/03/2018 21:14

Bez best wishes for tomorrow!

Laura, congratulations! He’s gorgeous! Our second bubba!

Bez, your turn! Ahh! Best of luck tomorrow, I can’t wait to see them.

MadRainbow, it doesn’t sound like you’re going to be too much longer behind, if not slightly sooner?!

All these babies and it’s suddenly feeling very real! My bump has significantly dropped over the past few days and I can feel him so low down now. I know that’s not a sign really at all and he will probably stay snug for another 5 weeks but one can hope! 37 weeks tomorrow.

We also have a dog. Really hoping he’ll be fine with it all 😬

Loosemoose28 · 22/03/2018 21:51

I have two dogs not overly worried about them they have met quite a few babies.

I measure big now so scan next week. However now I just want these braxton hicks to tip into labour. Not 37 weeks until next week but getting braxtons that make me stop and breath.

Pumpkinma · 22/03/2018 22:16

All these babies popping out and labours starting ☺️❤️

I'm jealous and really impatient now. I want this little bubba out of me!

Not long now ladies

AnnaMadden · 22/03/2018 22:26

@Bez best of luck for tomorrow. Can't wait to see them 💖

Bez9087 · 22/03/2018 22:45

Thanks ladies. Had a nice warm lavender bath to try help me sleep but seems both babies have decided that isn’t happening by doing what can only be described as sumersaults in there Confused also had a tablet to help with acid reflux one tonight and one for the morning which coincidentally has given me worse acid reflux Hmm can’t believe this time tomorrow I’ll be in bed and have two babies next to me. Eeeekkk

Loosemoose28 · 22/03/2018 23:13

Oh Bez so excited for you.

MadRainbow · 23/03/2018 12:41

Waiting on tenderhooks for news @Bez

dkb15164 · 23/03/2018 12:59

Any other ftm also officially reached the breaking point of "birth sounds terrifying I don't want to do that" and come into the "get this blood sucking energy draining parasite thing out of me already" phase Confused (I joke of course)
also I found some interesting statistics on when you're most likely to give birth in relation to your due date etc attached below

amysaurus87 · 23/03/2018 14:25

Hope all went well today @bez and that you are all snuggled up having beautiful newborn cuddles!

Good news from consultant this morning...no induction today, but it's something that is on the horizon for me as a possibility, I'm basically now on a rolling wait and see basis! Got a scan Monday (for fluid levels and blood flow) and then back at the MDU for CTGs on Tuesday and Thursday, as long as they are all OK they are happy for me to go to 38weeks (when I have another growth scan) and at that point if baby hasn't grown they will induce me.

Obviously if at any point it looks like baby is unhappy then I'll be induced. I'm hoping I can make it to 38weeks as I'll feel a bit more comfortable if baby was to arrive.

WonderfullySunny · 23/03/2018 15:57

@Bez9087 thinking of today! I hope all has gone well 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀

@amysaurus87 that's good news! Glad you've got a bit more time to play with :) how many weeks are you at the mo?

@dkb15164 I second that!! I swing between feeling normal and then feeling bloody awful. This morning I felt a hundred, my hips and back were in agony, I had to do stretches just to be able to get going...I keep thinking it's not long left but then it could be anywhere from 4-7 weeks Confused
