Bellabear...its quite common to get silent UTI's in pg, ie with no obvious burning symptoms. Better get to your GP with a sample. You really don't want this developing into a kidney infection. I had one quite early on and it was truly horrible!

Jenswish · 10/06/2007 20:54

Hi again.

I'm now 10+1 (if my adding up makes sense) have my first apt (straight to the midwife) on 20th June. Hope to get my scan soon.

Hope all is ok.

mad4girls · 10/06/2007 22:02

VictorVictoria · 11/06/2007 10:33

Morning all

I think I am cracking up

Felt really pregnant thurs and fri, and then woke up on sat feeling fine. Remained fine all day sat and woke up on Sunday feeling fine but in a rage of tears with DH as I was 100% sure I had had another missed miscarriage. Difficult day ensued.........

Woke up today feeling ghastly, huge sore boobs and have been sick

I really am cracking up

And I'm only 6+3 (or 7 by my reckoning)

Thinking I may have to have a scan soon if only to stop me losing the plot completely

ejt1764 · 11/06/2007 11:31

Morning all - before I get down to doing my reports - my goal is to do 8AKM today, thought I'd better cathc up with everybody!

Rosequartz - hi & welcome to knicker checkers anonymous. Sorry to hear of your loss - and congrats on your bfp - no 7 - wow!
The first few weeks are really hard: feel free to fret at us - we've all been there!

Bella- it really sounds like a UTI - get yourself to your GP!

Uki - glad to hear ds had a lovely birthday! My ds has decided he's having an aeroplane birthday (no idea what that entails), but as his birthday and my edd are only a couple of days apart, I don't think he's going to get it somehow!

Jenswish - hope all goes well with the mw appointment. Hang on in there for the next week.

VV - It's completely normal for your hormones to do funny things to you: and being in floods of tears over everything is also completely normal! (well, that's what I'm telling myself anyway)

Well, no news from me really - you'd laugh looking at me trying to move during the evening - I wake up in pain, but able to move, and, as the day goes on, I get more and more immobile ... never mind - only 4 more months to go ....

Right, must finish these reports!

basilbrush · 11/06/2007 12:07

Victor am exactly the same. Am totally panicking today as I feel totally fine today. Boobs not sore, no sickness, not overly tired. And my trousers are hanging off me for gawd's sake, far from sporting a mini bump I've lost 3.5lbs since getting bfp. Has this happened to anyone else? I'm trying to convince myself it's my higher pg metabolism.
Today am also 5+4 which is when the reckon the bean stopped growing last time so am extra paranoid
Can't believe I wish I had my head down a loo but I do!!

basilbrush · 11/06/2007 12:08

rosequartz OK you get the Brownie badge for Having Babies

Glimmer · 11/06/2007 13:09

Hey and everybody,

VV and Basibrush I was exactly in the same state of mind (to be honest I still am). It's a horrible, horrible wait. Try to take it one step at a time, on day after the next. Don't think in weeks but hours. You might also experience that the people around you (even DH) will be very insensitive, because they have no idea what you are going through.

VV if you can afford it get that scan (Basil if you can -- wait for a week...)! There is a good possibility that they can already see a heartbeat (but don't get freaked out - if they don't...).

It's gets a little easier after 12 weeks. I still freak out often and regularly (e.g. now in anticipation of my 20 week scan next week and due to the fact that I haven't felt what I thought were movements for 2.5 days), but it's not as bad as in the first weeks.

Lotsa strength to you.

basilbrush · 11/06/2007 13:46

Ok Ladies TMI alert...

Whilst Knicker Spotting this lunch break (as ya do ), I noticed that CM has increased even more and even had a creamy pea sized blob of it, like lotion or something...
i cannot remember this from my last pg - is it normal? or anything to worry about?

Hello all, boy have I missed you!!! Please forgive me for not having caught up on the thread yet - I reckon it'll take me a month of Sundays having not been on here for sooo long!

Hope you are all well? Welcome to all the new additions and hope your pg's are nice and boring (iykwim!) and hello to all the 'regulars'!

I'm now 25+2 and can hardly believe we've made it this far! I still knicker check regularly! I had a very small bleed a couple of weeks ago and ended up in the day assessment unit. Even though I could feel baby moving around, it was still scary but thankfully everything was/is OK. They gave me my anti-D injection and sent me on my way. I'm exhausted to say the least as my bad hips are keeping me up all night but I've only got 3 weeks left at work now...

I have to say, this pg has been the most hurrendous experience of my life but I am still so grateful to have this baby growing inside of me. I will never take it for granted and just want to encourage all you who are in the early stages to hang on in there and keep strong no matter what. I remember how hard it was and how time seemed to slow down to such a painful rate!

Take care xxx PLP (25+2)

ejt1764 · 11/06/2007 14:58

Hurray I finished 8AKM's reports!!

Only 3 sets to go now!

Hi purple - lovely to see you - hope all carries on going well for you - and that you have no more bleeds.

firststar - the optimism over the pain is solely due to getting enough sleep - the lovely suppositories are really helping ...
As for a hobby, I do patchwork & quilting, crochet, beading ... I have to make a start on Madame Bean's quilt and blanket ... that should keep me out of trouble!

Basil - the increase in CM (aka lady lotion [snigger]) is quite normal - all your bodily secretions are increased (including snot!)

TMI ALERT I tend to find that my CM gets into clumps after dh and I have had sex - I tend to think of it as all the tadpoles clumping together in horro that they can't get any further!
END OF TMI ALERT

ejt is now and glad that I don't know any of you in rl!

Afternoon all! Just a quick post from me as I'm knackered after a weekend of food shopping, cooking and cleaning up. We had two people over for dinner on Saturday - that was fine - but 4 adults and 2 children for Sunday lunch - I spent the whole day cooking, eating and then cleaning up! I have a whole load of documents to plough through for work, but am probably going to defer going through them until tomorrow - again!!!

BB - I always seem to lose weight in the first trimester, but have gained it again and more in the second.

Welcome to Rosequartz - how brave are you going for your 7th!!! Dead impressed.

Hope your dh is spoiling you, Glimmer!

Hello to everyone else. Will try and post a bit more tomorrow...

Glimmer · 11/06/2007 15:58

Firststar -- you are absolutely right about Becklespeckle. I hope everything is fine. Beckle, are you out there?

I found something from Beckle on a thread about vasectomies (!) on 8th in the afternoon. Hope everything is okay with her...

Firststar - you are obviously not suffering the same sponge-like pg brain that I am!!

becklespeckledfrog · 11/06/2007 16:38

Hello all! Becklespeckle and minibump doing fine! Was absolutely terrified on Friday morning and lay there in the scan room with my hands over my eyes. It took all of about 10 seconds for the sonographer to find baby and say all was fine and I sobbed. The scan was soo clear and baby was waving its arms and legs and wriggling around - phew! Got a lovely scan pic (which I will try and work out how to attach to my profile) and all is well so far. Not told DSs yet, am going to see if MW will test for HB at around 14 weeks and if it is there then I will tell them. Sorry did not post sooner, DH decided to take whole day off of work Friday so couldn't get near pooter! In fact, this is the first time I have been able to get near it for DAYS! Have been having serious MN withdrawal symptoms!
Anyway, hope everyone else is okay, welcome to new guys! Hi Basil! Nice to be on a thread with you again! I have also lost weight, I think it just happens to some of us, it is not to do with my diet - can't stop eating crap! Especially bread at the moment . Scales say I am 2lb heavier than normal but my clothes say that my legs (particularly thighs) are much thinner. A friend of mine actually commented on it today as she said my face looked thinner.
And a big congrats to Daisy - beautiful name for a beautiful little girl - well done!
Hi to all those I have not mentioned - I find it so hard to catch up after a few days away.

becklespeckledfrog · 11/06/2007 16:39

x-posts Mumpbump! - Had just sat down to post on Sat, posted about the vasectomies and then DH arrived and demanded I help sort out our bedroom - major redecoration has occurred this weekend, new door, skirting, paint and carpet.

Mumpbump · 11/06/2007 16:50

Thank goodness - so pleased that you got a positive result.
