How you all feeling? 37+2 today. Feeling like he could arrive at anytime.

V impressed with that organisation Kpo!

Kpo58 · 01/02/2018 21:43

I have gestational diabetes (again) and the baby is large.

Kpo58 · 01/02/2018 21:46

Seriously though, I do recommend buying cards and presets for things like birthdays that are coming up in the next 3 months before you give birth. It's hard to think about it afterwards. Tiny people are not rational and won't always allow you to easily do an online shop.

BluePheasant · 01/02/2018 22:13

Thinking about it, we have quite a lot of birthdays coming up... I’m going to make a list and get cracking, thank you! 👍

How's everyone today?

Due date tomorrow, baby feels like he's trying to push his bum out the top of my bump the last few days!
Been for a sweep this morning, midwife reckons cervix is favourable and around 1cm dilated. Booked in for another next Friday but says things are going the right way and she's relatively optimistic I won't get that far. Eek!

Made some chocolate cupcakes yesterday which are going down nicely with the raspberry leaf tea!

Anna2006 · 02/02/2018 13:42

@laelti my due date is Sunday but midwide wouldn’t do me a sweep yesterday. Wish she had. Was just interested if my cervix was doing anything or has it’s doors tightly shut.

I do keep getting period cramps comes an go with back ache. But it never comes to much 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️ No sign of any show or anything yet though.

Any other signs for you?

Emcharlierush · 02/02/2018 14:36

Hi @laelti Fed up today :( Loads of niggles, lost plug but absolutely nothing happening. Midwife doesn’t want to see me until the 12th Feb where I hope to god she’ll do a sweep. Whyyyy doesn’t my body want to go into labour?! I’m so tired Sad

laelti · 02/02/2018 15:13

I've not really had any signs, I was convinced she was going to say I was nowhere near! Bit achey/crampy but nothing big and no show or anything yet.

Fingers crossed not long for any of us now. Interesting different areas but have different timescales on sweeps etc. It's 12 days over for induction here so at least I know no more than 2 weeks!

AHungryMum · 02/02/2018 18:43

Good luck to those of you due within the next few days! 🤞🏻 Let's hope your babies arrive in a timely and not too painful manner. X

Anna2006 · 02/02/2018 19:36

It is interesting how areas are so different on sweeps and inductions etc.

We just ordered Indian for tea and I had a really spicy curry. Anything is worth a go lol! Can’t believe due date is almost here. Does seem a bit mad!

Dixeychick · 02/02/2018 21:31

Agggghhhh violent hiccups right in the crotch.......

Mrstobe90 · 03/02/2018 01:29

Feeling down today. 2 weeks til due date but feel like the birth is a lifetime away. Starting to feel like I can't cope anymore. Sad

Naomilj · 03/02/2018 07:05

Mrstobe90 know how you feel. I’m due two weeks today. Started my maternity leave over two weeks ago as I worried he’d come early but now I feel like he’ll never leave and I’ll be pregnant and inconfirtable forever!
I’m going to try and get out of the house today, usually helps a bit to stay active.

Anna2006 · 03/02/2018 09:17

Try and keep yourselves busy ladies. It’s all you can do. Otherwise it will drag! The closer it gets the more it drags so try slots lots of stuff in while it’s bit less likely baby will come.

I know feel next week I shouldn’t arrange much as I’ll then be past due date. But equally I’ll be bored and then fed up if it doesn’t arrive.

Happy due date @laelti! Let’s hope they make an appearance!

Mrstobe90 · 03/02/2018 09:58

@Anna2006 @Naomilj fingers crossed we'll have our babies by the end of next week!
I did so much yesterday to try and pass the time and I'm feeling so stiff today lol! I'm shuffling about like a 90yr old.
Think I'm gonna spend the day reorganising the nursery (for the 10th time)

Hope everyone has a great day xx

Rainshowers · 03/02/2018 10:11

I'm due tomorrow, but not expecting an on time arrival! I have a feeling maybe Thursday...which feels so far away. Trying to make the most of the time left with just DD though so we're on our way out for the morning. I fully expect to be wiped out by lunchtime and on the sofa for the afternoon!

Dixeychick · 03/02/2018 10:40

I've been over-zealous on the baby preparations & done all the jobs, our house has never ever been so tidy & well-organised. Now at a complete loss as to what to do this week & expecting to be thoroughly bored!

BluePheasant · 03/02/2018 10:42

Yes snap Mrs, due two weeks today too but ELCS should be in just over a week. Still waiting on a date. Feels like it’s dragging on now... not that I’d rather still be working either!

Am getting to the point where even standing in the shower for v long has me needing a long recovery sit down afterwards!

I’ve got a little to do list for today. Tomorrow looks nice weather so am going to really try and make the effort to go out somewhere nice with DH and DD even though walking kills me atm! The lure of a nice lunch out might motivate me Grin

laelti · 03/02/2018 12:06

Thanks @Anna2006

Still feeling a bit crampy, had to get the hot water bottle out last night as had horrible back ache! Not expecting him to put in an appearance too soon though, think might have to go for a walk later to try and encourage things!

Not long, we can do this!

Emcharlierush · 03/02/2018 15:18

Trying to keep busy here too. Setting myself something every day is so hard when I just feel too massive to do anything!! I really don’t want to wish it away because In the grand scheme of things, this is such a short time in my life and once they’re here they grow so quickly, but I have honestly never felt so fed up!

Mrstobe90 · 03/02/2018 15:32

Take it easy! I was fed up of feeling like an invalid so did far too much yesterday and as a result, I've not been able to get out of bed today except to throw up.

Anna2006 · 03/02/2018 17:21

Yes exactly we can do it! Just wish they would get move on.

Popped to Aldi for shopping an had major back ache and cramping down the aisles. But I’ve we got home it all stopped. Seriously. Vacate already baby! 😂😂

Made some home made pizzas for tea though to make me feel better!

Kpo58 · 03/02/2018 17:37

I'm going into hospital tomorrow. Please could someone give me the motivation to actually pack my hospital bag. If I lay or sit anywhere, I then don't move from it for at least the next 30 mins...

Wow1234 · 04/02/2018 02:48

Anyone else been really emotional? Feel like literally anything will make me cry at the moment!

AHungryMum · 04/02/2018 06:19

@Kpo58 good luck for today!! Hope all goes well!

I am now getting seriously fed up of waking up every night between 3 and 5am and not being able to get back to sleep. I end up having to get up and lie down on the sofa because after a while my hips hurt from lying on them in bed. Can't wait to be able to sleep on my stomach again in the future!!
