brouge id actually be the same I now know due to changed protocol as age was the only one tick I had. I felt they were all saying "we can't now give this as professional advice and it's up to you but I'd take it." (But I need to emphasise it's for the iugr.)

I also need to add he's now a strapping 5 year old who is the same height as or taller than his baby group peers his boob monster ways paid off.

LisaSimpsonsbff · 22/12/2017 08:23

I'm taking aspirin - and, for a couple more weeks, progesterone. I was told that I could take the aspirin for the rest of my pregnancy, but will double check that with my midwife at booking in. I was given it by the recurrent miscarriage consultant as a 'we don't know this will help you (all my blood tests came back normal) but it can't hurt'. The other recurrent miscarriage clinic I saw - who gave me the progesterone - it turns out told me not to take aspirin because they don't think it helps with implantation, but I was already 6 weeks when I discovered this and I thought I might as well hedge my bets and carry on by then. Who knows whether one or both of them made any difference, or whether it's just chance (or the endometrial scratch I had) and nothing to do with anything I took that this one has, so far, got a bit further than any of my other pregnancies.

Really interesting about taking it at night! I recently switched to that, but only because I kept forgetting it in the morning and then panicking about it around lunch time - I've always found it much easier to remember to take medication at night.

MsJuniper · 22/12/2017 08:51

I'm on 150mg aspirin due to slightly sticky blood which I take at night for ease of remembering.

Does anyone know is creamy discharge a good sign? I can't remember anything! I am currently just happy that it looks clear and not bloody.

Ekphrasis · 22/12/2017 09:11

Yes Bertie, a good sign. Mine seems to come and go a bit. Has recently been so bad I had to wear a liner Blush

BertieBotts · 22/12/2017 09:15

Oh that's good :)

I am getting such strong symptoms with this one that I don't remember having even with DS! I am slightly worried that this means that I'm going to have the kind of child who really lets you know that they're around at all times Grin DS was such a chilled out, laid back baby!

hotcookie · 22/12/2017 09:17

So after my moaning about weight on wednesday I was vomiting for 14+ hours from weds night, didn't keep any fluid down then & probably managed about 2 pints from 2pm until this morning. I've lost 2kg and my bump is visibly smaller from the dehydration! managed some toast this morning and a glass of water-hopefully the 1st of many!

LisaSimpsonsbff · 22/12/2017 14:18

I've heard it's a very common pregnancy symptom, too, Bertie, and so hopefully a good sign! I can't really tell what my discharge is doing because I have the progesterone pessaries twice a day (which are horribly messy).

That sounds horrible hot - glad you're starting to feel better this morning!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 22/12/2017 15:55

I had discharge like that last time Bertie, tons of it! I think it's a good sign as cervix forms the plug. I have not got anything like that yet, nor do I have any symptoms but I didn't until 5.5-6wks last time anyway. Mostly just tired with huge boobs at the moment! 5 weeks tomorrow...

ThoughtAboutThisTooMuch · 22/12/2017 16:53

Had my 12 week scan this morning and everything seems fine so far;heartbeat and lots of wriggling around. Thought if it was a successful scan that I’d feel more pregnant afterwards and it would somehow feel like I might actually have a baby in 6 months but I don’t feel any different. Still doesn’t feel like this is going to end in a baby. Ah well.

Ekphrasis · 22/12/2017 16:56

Congratulations thought! I must say I felt in a bit of no mans land from 12 weeks till around 16/17 weeks when I started to really show and had more regular movements. Enjoy the next stage though as it's so much more comfortable!

BlueeSpottyTiger · 22/12/2017 17:07

thought aww congrats xx

I had my private scan today, Baby was measuring 9+4.. we heard and saw the heartbeat it was so lovely! 💖 10 weeks on xmas day so i can announce to my family, I cannot wait. 12 week scan in 12 days!

Stupidly did another digital today, I'm only 5+0 so trying not to worry it still says 2-3 (same as a week ago). Now at least I have to find an open boots in order to buy another, which won't happen till after Christmas.

Lifeofpies · 23/12/2017 07:06

Congratulations on the scans, thought and bluee. Bluee, that’s such a lovely clear picture. Amazing how much the change week to week.
Thought, I hope you’re doing ok. I had dinner with a friend with history of MC who is 18 weeks, she still doesn’t feel that there will be a baby in the end, and is hoping the 20w scan will change things. I really hope so, but I wonder if disbelief remains, on and off, until birth. Hopefully beginning to feel movements in a few weeks will help.

Grumpy I’ve had a mare with digital tests, they’re the work of the devil. Sorry it hasn’t gone up, but try not to read anything into that.

yikesababy · 23/12/2017 07:22

Congrats Foxtrot, Thought and Bluee! (Sorry, I can’t work
Out how to tag people in posts! Confused) So lovely to hear about your successful scans. I’m starting to get really paranoid about my pregnancy symptoms fading, and can’t stop occasionally grabbing a boob to see if it’s still painful! I’ve had some mild nausea the past few days that has come and gone, I’m super tired and my poor prodded boobs are hurting and feel a bit bigger but nothing particularly noticeable. My mum was sick for the whole 9 months with me and my sister, so I’m paranoid that not feeling the same means bad news. I’m 6+4, and I’m going for an 8 week scan but that seems ages away!! Arrrgh! Have to get through Xmas with both mine and boyfriend’s families, both of whom know I’m preggers, but I’m terrified I’ll mc over Christmas whilst I’m away from home. Just need to hope for the best and get on with it, I know, but I’m so desperate to see a heartbeat! Anyway, just needed a bit of cameraderie to get me through to Jan 3rd scan day!

Hettyturnip · 23/12/2017 09:27

Oh Grumpy, it was a bit soon for a 3+, but it’s so hard not to test. It’s better to not have one in the house tempting you, so I hope you can try to forget about it over Christmas?

Yikes, my symptoms come and go and i’m really worrying. My 2 successful pregnancies involved actual 🤮, 2 early mc didn’t really get that far and my 2mmc just had nausea. I’ve been hoping to be sick and it’s still not happened, but every pregnancy is different. I’ve been saying that a lot!

I was really reassured by those stats, it reminded me that everyday the odds improve. Even though i’ve been on the wrong side a couple of times, I am still hopeful that this one might just work out. After all, I am still pregnant!

Smurf123 · 23/12/2017 10:27

Congrats on the great scans :-)
With regards aspirin, I asked my GP this time around when I found out I was pregnant she phoned hospital and asked and they said when I ever reached the rmc that was the first thing they would give regardless of blood test results. I'm going privately also and my doctor who specialises in fetal medicine and pregnancy was adamant she thinks it is beneficial for anyone who has has mc in the past. So I've been told to keep taking it to arojnd 36 weeks.
Has anyone used canasten in pregnancy? The pessary and external cream? It says on box see doctor but I've just arrived abroad to stay with my husbands family for Christmas for the next 10 days..

Hettyturnip · 23/12/2017 11:12

Last time I was pregnant (nearly 4 years ago) I only used the cream, I think I eventually got a tablet of some sort to clear it as it just kept coming back.

Ekphrasis · 23/12/2017 13:32

Just quickly I think canestan has to be 5%
