I hope everyone suffering from the Horrors of Hyperemesis will find this thread useful as a source of support and information.
There's no TMI on here - can't be by definition - and nobody should feel ashamed of moaning as much as they feel the need to.
MOH's wonderful website is full of useful information on this illness:
sites.google.com/site/pregnancysicknesssos
Another invaluable website is:
www.pregnancysicknesssupport.org.uk
If you need help in obtaining medication, phone them on:
024 7638 2020
Lastly, the NICE guidelines on treatment are useful:
cks.nice.org.uk/nauseavomiting-in-pregnancy
I would like to thank everyone who has given such invaluable support and advice on this and on previous threads.
Remember when you are at your worst, 'This Too Shall Pass'. It really will.
So many women on this thread have thought they couldn't get through this, but they did.

Still time door! Hope that baby gets the eviction notice on time!

NonStopDisco · 21/11/2017 21:59

Dead I usually get an amazon voucher for my kindle to buy books, it’s so unsubtle! My mum forgot when my due date was, and when I said it was Thursday she thought I was making it up!

justtheonethen · 21/11/2017 23:49

Those wanting to buy baby stuff I realised that if you create a baby wish list on amazon (I just set it to private) and buy £200 of eligible stuff off it you can get 10% some stuff with the code WISHLIST10. There's a banner advertising it when you are in the wish list.
I just bought the car seat and isofix base, cot mattress, Moses basket mattress and nappy bin all with 10% off. And they had them already discounted too.
I figure if they get discounted further by Friday I'll return and buy again!

winkywinkybumbum · 22/11/2017 07:02

It was cyclizine last time plus a heartburn med. I'll call them at 8am.

winkywinkybumbum · 22/11/2017 08:09

I came to docs and I'm seeing my favourite doctor at 9.10. She was amazing when I was on my endometriosis journey so am pleased I can see her.

Emu31 · 22/11/2017 09:07

Well done Winky, glad you are seeing a good doc - makes such a difference. Hope the appointment goes well. Very pleased you will be getting some meds, I think it can make a real difference to start taking them before it kicks into full flow.

just that's a great tip about the amazon stuff, thank you

Shehz glad all ok, it's reassuring to hear how safe and snug babies are in there

Mustang, Disco, Pippa and Dead hope you reach the pink castle very soon!

Nausea has come back with a vengeance for me over the last few days, I'd weaned off my meds but now thinking should probably start taking them again. Almost out of Omeprezole too (my wonder drug lifeline) so need to ring the docs, am so much better than I was but just so fed up of it all. Excited to be nearing the third trimester and the pink castle but also feel so unprepared for when baby does arrive! Am frantically buying lots of baby things to try and help myself feel more organised.

Mustang27 · 22/11/2017 09:11

Oi Dead whats wrong with a December baby??? Lol

Winky get meds!! Enjoy a catch up with your lovely dr.

Ooo Just good tip I love a bargain.

justtheonethen · 22/11/2017 09:24

Adore a bit of bargain hunting. Although I have no idea what I'll do with myself when I don't have baby stuff to research and buy!

Midwife this morning, she is lovely but there's always the potential for a gingering isn't there Grin.

winkywinkybumbum · 22/11/2017 09:54

In chemist now. Cyclizine and ratatdine (sp). Feel so rough so it's not a moment too soon.

justtheonethen · 22/11/2017 11:26

Glad you got meds winky. If they don't help go back!

DeadDoorpost · 22/11/2017 11:46

mustang I just didn't want one lol December is for Christmas and if he's born too close to Christmas the it gets really frustrating for me 😣😂😂

BlueButTrue · 22/11/2017 11:47

Okla Congratulations! Flowers

Hope I’m still welcome on thread Blush DS is now 5 days old, and my sickness is still here

Blue he's so gorgeous! Course you're still welcome, how unlucky to still have sickness!

DeadDoorpost · 22/11/2017 12:03

blue sucks to hear you're still being sick! But at least it's not the whole day so some sort of positive there!

Natsku · 22/11/2017 12:09

That's good that you got your meds winky hope they help swiftly

Natsku · 22/11/2017 12:10

He's so lovely! That sickness better go soon blue!

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/11/2017 12:32

Thank you @mustang @she @nat. She’s my world

Baby blue is also gorgeous

Mustang27 · 22/11/2017 12:39

Blue he is so beautiful look at that wee face!!! He is like “me?? I never made you sick mummy” with that wee head tilt 😍😍.

Any idea why you are still feeling the nausea? I honestly feel so awful for you must be horrible. I think Lucinda still suffered after birth.

Haha I actually feel for December babies as they wait all year for birthday and Christmas at once. Iv already decided il make a massive deal of this ones birthday so they don’t miss out.

Just there is always shopping to be done when you have a baby you will be fine lol.

So relieved Winky just take them see how you feel. My dr said give meds 3 days if you don’t see a difference get back in to see them hg escalates so quickly so makes sense.

Just back from swimming I’m really struggling to dress myself now it was kinda funny I suppose lol.

Emu31 · 22/11/2017 12:59

blue he is absolutely gorgeous! So sorry you are still feeling sick, how unfair. I really hope it goes very soon for you, surely it can't last too long. Congratulations on your beautiful boy.

spearo21 · 22/11/2017 13:11

Congrats Blue! He is so beautiful and perfect!!

DeadDoorpost · 22/11/2017 13:51

winky never feel bad about going back to change meds if they don't work! I had to go back 4 times to sort mine out. It took 4 weeks to find ones that worked enough for me so it can sometimes be a struggle but by that point I was in the middle of the worst part of HG so it wasn't likely I was going to react well to anything.
mustang Yeah, if BabyDoor is born in Dec then I'll obvs make a fuss but for our family Christmas has always been the big event of the year. Mind you, I have an early February birthday so mine's still close but at least if there was anything my parents forgot to get me or couldn't get for Christmas I didn't have to wait too long.

Some more plug has come away and baby seems to still be moving in awkward areas but I cannot for the life of me tell how he's laying. It all just feels the same now

LucindaE · 22/11/2017 14:16

BlueButTrue Such a lovely photo. I am so sorry you still suffer from nausea - it does go. I had actual vomitng for a week or so- it was awful - but it went save for mild nausea with the let down when feeding. Only a tiny number of sufferers still suffer after birth - you're probably the fifth out of the hundreds who have been on the threads. It might be that with you the nausea is affected by feeding too - but as it is only in the evening, that's hopeful it's just lingering from suffering througout pregnancy and will go. It's always a balancing act about letting current sufferers know that a tiny minority suffer after birth; if I lay too much stress on it, I don't know if people suffering early on can bear to face that they might be one of the unlucky tiny minority of sufferers!

..I meant to add, that the breast feeding hormonal reaction seems to set it off for the unlucky few who suffer longer, and it always goes on giving up breast feeding. It is horrible, and I do feel for you. Of course, you are always welcome as a veteran, especially since you are still suffering!
winky I so agree - don't suffer needlessly - do ask for new meds.
Daughter moving out today for first job as a vet and a dormer bungalow that goes with it. She first went off at 18, but was back for six months. [snivels pathetically].

Wow Lucinda you have an 18 year old?! You are so wonderful to support us all so long after your own experience. I hope you know how much we appreciate you Smile

DeadDoorpost · 22/11/2017 15:22

just her daughter is actually 23 now lol same age as me. Not that we know each other unless we do but I doubt it she graduated in the summer.
lucinda you must be proud of her! Will she be close to you? My dad found it hard each time I moved out (3 times lol one of them being when I got married and another for uni at age 20) but he's now only got 3 kids at home out of 8 so he's still got someone to annoy lol.
