Welcome to the moaning thread!

I thought I’d make a nice little place for us to get our problems off our chests (and maybe get a virtual hug or two)
Pregnancy is bloody difficult and it’s nice knowing we’re not alone in the suffering!

Happy whining :)

Every time I stand up it feels like the baby is crowning.

Jessiecat27 · 31/10/2017 17:09

37+4 and I'm loving this thread! Carpal tunnel so I've been given wrist splints (sexy) swollen feet/ankles but more so in one foot so I can barely get my shoe on. I want to finish gutting the house but because of my fat foot I have to keep sitting back down Angry crying over nothing and everything. Wanting to batch cook as I bought a load of stuff in but again, can't stand up for long. Felt nauseous, had diarrhoea and kept getting dizzy over the past week, really achy hips/bum today. Oh I could go on! Really want him here now but it's my birthday on Sunday so I sort of want him to stay put so I can enjoy one last meal just me an oh before he arrives!

Mrstobe90 · 31/10/2017 17:29

Hugs to all you other fed up mums to be!!
I’m once again in pain and my boobs seem to have grown again over night but I’ve stopped lactating (so obviously worries that my hormone levels have dropped).
It’s all about my panic today!
My calf hurts, so convinced it must be DVT.
I have a 4d scan on Sunday so convinced baby will be turned away and we won’t see anything (and will have wasted all that money)

It’s not even important stuff to worry about but I do!

You’ll love the 4d scan. This is an image from ours at 29 weeks...

Still suffering from the following: carpal tunnel, achy hips, heartburn, agony turning over in bed, stretch marks which seem to be multiplying on a daily basis, despite my bio oil obsession since second trimester (obviously a load of crap that it prevents them) and now 38+5 with no real signs that baby is anywhere near ready to come out.

I'm having dreams that I'm either being held hostage at knife point or I'm at an Elton John concert where he kicks me out coz i mumbled he was shit, waking up 3-4 times a night for a wee of about 5mls, and on Sunday i had a full on 30 minute emotional meltdown over a shopping list. I feel for all you ladies who have got another child to look after aswell, i couldn't imagine feeling like this but having to parent aswell! Pregnancy is crazy.

Mrstobe90 · 31/10/2017 19:07

@Julesbegone have you tried cocoa butter? I have no clue if it actually works but it’s supposed to.

@Mumbofeet omg pregnancy dreams are ridiculous! Mine have been so crazy, It makes me question my sanity lol

Still having back ache and pressure in my bump and I had heartburn today. I have all the usuals - spd, piles, varicose veins, sciatica and stretch marks. It's far too early to be labour so I'm guessing it's the baby pushing me around. 😢

TeaAndToast85 · 31/10/2017 22:13

I am nearly 15 weeks, and am all of the following things

Bloated
Constipated
Guilty because the only fruit/veg I've eaten today is a piece of melon
Burping all the time (as usual)
Tired but only want to sleep in the day, when I'm at work
Feeling - and looking - super super fat

Smile
TeaAndToast85 · 31/10/2017 22:15

Hahaha @Mumbofeet, last night I dreamt that I was in a cave with Theresa May, and I offered her a cup of tea and she said it was shit. Last week I set up a pie company, and delivered them to my customers by owl. Grin

Mrstobe90 · 31/10/2017 23:52

I’m glad I’m not the only one with constipation and piles! I’ve pooped like once a week/every 2 weeks since getting pregnant! Any time I have a successful trip to the bathroom, my husband congratulates me lol

The varicose veins and piles are so awful! I have a varicose vein in my vulva, down my thigh and behind my knee. I also have loads of weird vein things that look like bruises on my calves and ankles. I have low blood pressure so I figured my circulation is pretty poor.

Off for my 38 week sweep today. Head is still free and cervix is high so I'm prepared to be turned away.

Love reading the funny dreams! I keep getting horrible ones involving my DP cheating or such stuff. Sad

BabyDreams2018 · 01/11/2017 11:31

It's my DH is having the disturbing pregnancy dreams here. You'd have to be able to sleep to dream and as I spend most of my night tossing, turning and rolling I'm getting minimum sleep. I was really disappointed to miss DC trick r treating last night but they had a great time.

Good luck today HopelesslyHopeful87 Keep us posted. Fc for you.

HopelesslyHopeful87 · 01/11/2017 17:32

Sweep was horrendous! So painful. Cervix was posterior, thick, long and not effaced. I swore. Blush

Now I feel bruised. No bleeding no cramping no contractions. Waste of time. Booked for another next week. Not sure if I'll bother.

BabyDreams2018 · 01/11/2017 18:53

I'm sorry it didn't go well. You have some time to play with yet. I was like that with my first. He didn't turn up for another 3 weeks Hmm Hopefully next week is better. Flowers

Babyitscoldouts1de · 01/11/2017 19:43

9 weeks in here. Still soooo far to go. I have been off work for 2 days with sickness. Am terribly constipated too. The side effects of the anti sickness medication include constipation and the constipation medication makes me sick. Can't win!

Last time I had a spell in hospital with HG and overall sickness didn't stop till half way through, so still got a long way to go. Feeling generally miserable.

Steeley113 · 01/11/2017 19:54

Can I join in? 17 weeks with my 3rd and I'm so fed up. Not only am I still feeling sick, have piles and look fat. This pregnancy has been so complicated and stressful already.

Mrstobe90 · 01/11/2017 20:38

Sorry your sweep didn’t go well @HopelesslyHopeful87!

I’ve had a pretty good day but just wolfed down my dinner as I was starving and puked it all back up!! Typical!

Nearly 22 weeks with 3rd. Yes to piles and varicose veins. And I can't sleep despite being so exhausted. Felt such rage last night at my inability to sleep, also needed to pee like 3/4 times in the space of about 2 hours. I really have to reduce my drinks before bed.

Restless legs driving me CRAZY. I am taking iron tablets but not seeming to do much yet.

HopelesslyHopeful87 · 02/11/2017 13:10

I have restless legs too!! I thought I was just weird but is that a pregnancy thing??

Izzy24 · 02/11/2017 13:23

At present there is no evidence that using evening primrose oil for IOL is either safe or effective.

BabyDreams2018 · 02/11/2017 14:57

Try tonic water for the restless legs. Feeling OK today bar the back ache. I have my scan on Friday and I can't wait to see what bump is getting up to. Low iron here too despite taking the supplements and eating lots of red meat.
How is everyone getting on otherwise? Christmas is fast approaching so I must start to get organised. Smile

BabyDreams2018 · 02/11/2017 14:59

I have heard of women using evening primrose oil for PMT and Monopause so it might be to do with hormones around the time of the birth?

HopelesslyHopeful87 · 02/11/2017 17:39

I used the liquid iron stuff instead of the tablets as they played havoc with my already compromised bowels.

Lots of dried apricots and kiwis and lots of vitamin c as this aides absorption.

ScotsLamb · 02/11/2017 17:45

@BabyDreams2018 I’ve low iron too and I’ve been trying to leave an hour around taking iron when I don’t have caffeine, grains or dairy. I also try to avoid taking Gaviscon etc within 2 hours of the iron. All of these things are meant to reduce absorption. Also taking iron with orange juice or posh apple juice (the apple juice has more vitamin c).
I’ve also been using Spatone with the iron tablets. I’ve felt much much better having taken them all. Hoping for more bloods to be taken in 2 weeks to see if it’s made a difference.
