Welcome to the moaning thread!

I thought I’d make a nice little place for us to get our problems off our chests (and maybe get a virtual hug or two)
Pregnancy is bloody difficult and it’s nice knowing we’re not alone in the suffering!

Happy whining :)

I know what you mean.
I always thought I would love pregnancy and all the people who say "you look so well"...
me + pregnancy = urgh

LapinR0se · 28/10/2017 20:48

Oh god can I join in? 32 weeks and I’m a mess. Big purple-black piles hanging out of my bum and I keep peeing myself as I have a cough.
DH booked us a night away in a lovely spa hotel last night and I was too tired and comfortable to eat dinner and then was awake with flipping insomnia from 2-5, ended up crying at 5.15 this morning from sheer frustration Confused.
This is my second baby so I know things will get even harder Sad

BabyOrSanta · 28/10/2017 20:55

And the hiccups have started... FYI, shouting boo does not work.

(And I know it's part of baby's development and I would worry if I didn't feel it etc etc so I am happy to feel it. Sort of.)

BabyOrSanta · 28/10/2017 20:56

Lapin
I had a mad sickness sesh a few weeks ago so I totally understand about peeing yourself... Flowers

whitechocolatefingers · 28/10/2017 21:11

I’m 32 weeks and so bloody fed up. Feel absolutely huge and uncomfortable. Appear to have the worlds most active baby in there that never ever stops moving. Insomnia has started and my two year old ds has starting waking up at 5am 😩. And to top it all off I’ve got fucking gestational diabetes this time round and I can’t even console myself with food. I have started writing a post birth food list, I’m not even bothered about alcohol this time. I’d just like a piece of bloody toast.

And if my dh says to me it will be worth it in the end one more time I am going to smother him.

Massive hugs to you all!

Yeh I also had a romantic idea of pregnancy and it was obviously bs!
Feeling huge atm.

And omg I used to have a bladder of steel but when I throw up, I sometimes pee a bit which just adds insult to injury! Lol

Tonight the hormones are out in full force!! DH and I are on our way out to meet some friends for a Halloween party and DH said we should clean up the dinner plates before we go and wouldn’t accept my suggestion of doing them when we get back.
Banged my head on a shelf while rinsing a plate, burst into tears, cried that I’d ruined my make up, cried because I feel fat, cried because my DH couldn’t hold in his laughter at the situation etc
What is this child doing to me???

Where did everyone get their u shaped pillows from???

Mrstobe90 · 28/10/2017 23:35

I got mine from mothercare but it was quite expensive and not that comfortable. Apparently you can get them on eBay Smile

I've got this one. It's thinner than the picture but works for me! I use it in combination with 2 normal pillows on top under my head & one thin one under my side/bump.

I was going to bed at a sensible time tonight until it occurred to me that I'd have a whole extra hour of heartburn/trying to convince myself to sleep/not need a wee/not need to turn over... Didn't seem much point!

Grimmfebruary · 29/10/2017 00:30

25 weeks and I've been in a sour mood all week, mainly because I'm tired.

If my other half tells me to cheer up one more time I honestly might knock him out 😂

Lozmatoz · 29/10/2017 06:04

@Ct17218 that stitch sounds like pelvic girdle pain. Have you been referred to a physio by GP?

DueNov · 29/10/2017 06:33

35 weeks measuring 39 weeks and I'm fully fed up. Measured big throughout and the pain is constant nd horrible

Ct17218 · 29/10/2017 07:59

@lozmatoz no I can even get through to my midwife unless it’s a Monday afternoon! But I’ll give her a try this Monday and give that s meantion. Thank you! Xx

PandaCat · 29/10/2017 08:06

I'm 21+5 today with my 2nd. I'm getting very uncomfortable in bed and I've not even got a big bump yet (in fact I was told I am tiny yesterday), dreading bedtime when I am hippo sized! 😂

Waitingonasmile · 29/10/2017 10:02

The U shaped pillows are great!! Makes sleeping so much easier

Today's moan is period like cramps. Of course that means I'm convinced its preterm labour rather than just things stretching.

HopelesslyHopeful87 · 29/10/2017 10:20

Please let me join! I need to moan.

37+4. Hyperemesis up to 18 weeks and SPD from 17 weeks. Literally not one period of this pregnancy that I've enjoyed. Severe heartburn. No sleep alnost every night due to pain and heartburn or kicking.

I also have 'the fear' that I will require induction or section. This is dc3 for me and previous two were inductions and assisted deliveries which I really wish to avoid this time.

Evening primrose oil up your foof is a thing and I started doing this last night. 1000mg bullets capsules. Allowed up to 6 a day so take 5 orally throughout the day and then pop one in last thing before sleep. I think you're meant to build it up from 35 weeks or something from a lower dose up to the max dose. In the foof from 38 weeks.

I have a sweep booked on weds at 38 weeks exactly and my cervix is so high that I can't physically reach it so started the insertion in the hope that it makes it more favourable for the sweep. If it fails I have another sweep the following week.

Pregnancy is not glamorous.

BabyOrSanta · 29/10/2017 11:34

32 weeks today. Go me.

Anyone else never get a completely empty bladder? You pee, you sort, you wash hands, you need to pee.

Stupid question but does Evening Primrose Oil smell?

I, too, have "the fear" hopelessly - I can imagine going in, being forced to do something I don't want to do. It really plays on my mind.

HopelesslyHopeful87 · 29/10/2017 11:48

When taking them orally they don't smell although after last night's insertion I definitely had an odour this morning but nothing a shower didn't sort.

BabyOrSanta · 29/10/2017 11:52

I can just imagine me trying it and my waters going with a lovely floral scent filling the room... Grin

no I didn't sleep much last night

Mrstobe90 · 29/10/2017 13:55

The inevitable has finally happened.
I can no longer see my vagina.

OP posts:
HopelesslyHopeful87 · 29/10/2017 14:03

Haha! It's definitely not a floral scent. Not disgusting but not pleasant either.

Sassy306 · 29/10/2017 14:04

Being tired when it's time to go to work and wide awake at bedtime and when I finally get comfortable and fall asleep I wake up with a completely dead and painful arm :/

McTufty · 29/10/2017 15:25

I’m 10 weeks today and came on to moan about feeling a bit sick but having read the thread and heard what happens later on, I’ll consider myself fortunate Grin

Ps @mrstobe90 I was on your TTC thread! I hope you had a lovely wedding and am pleased you are having a healthy pregnancy, even if you can’t see your vag anymore!!!

Efferlunt · 29/10/2017 18:06

ARgh nothing is happening! I have sweep booked tomorrow which I’m dreading. I’ve had no sleep, I snored so loudly I managed to wake myself up. My mum has arrived and is all in flap I can’t relax in my own home now so not sure how I will go into labour. Please let this be over soon!
