Hiya girlies! Ahhh some of you are so close to the end 😍 lush!! Very excited for you!!
I had a lovely holiday in Spain! Chilled out all week, the weather was gorgeous but I didn't over heat, I smothered on the cream and kept bump covered, still caught a lovely tan and came home feeling relaxed and blissful. I did have a cheeky paella though then felt incredibly guilty coz of the fish content! But I didn't eat any of the shellfish, and we went to a really upmarket nice traditional place with amazing reviews to try and avoid food poisoning which I managed to do! All in all it was a perfect week and one I will never forget being the last holiday before 2 becomes 3 💕
I'm now 23+4 and have a question about baby kicks.
I feel my little girlie wiggling and kicking around in there I would say "most" days, but it's not regular at all. I think generally she's more active in the morning when I have my first food and drink of the day, and at night after my dinner when I'm in front of the tv almost bedtime. But I'm not experiencing what I'd say are big "kicks" as such. Just little wriggles, flickers and twitches. Sometimes I slightly jump, but I still feel it's quite gentle. I want to start counting the kicks soon but to be honest, I'm not sure how. Like when she starts fluttering, it will last about 20-30 seconds at a time and I could feel 3 of these little sessions in the space of 5 minutes. So I'd count that as 1?? Or 3??
And then I may feel nothing allllllllllll day after that til almost 10pm and I think to myself, should I be concerned that I'm having such long periods of feeling nothing at this stage? Or is 23 weeks still early to be feeling movement?
Then other days, she doesn't stop wiggling all day and I think "right this is it, this is the start and she's going to be really active from now on" but then the next day, I may not feel a thing til 3pm!! Sometimes later!!
I have a posterior placenta meaning she's quite close to the "front" and although I'm no skinny minny, I'm not overweight so I don't have trouble feeling her when she moves. It's just the frequency (or lack of) that I'm concerned about and the intensity (and lack of!)
Also, the sensations are still very low down, like not far above my pubic bone and definitely way below my belly button.
Is she still meant to be lying so far down at almost 24 weeks?
Sorry for such a long message lol any advice would be greatly appreciated you lovely bunch xxx
