I know right and how does anyone ever sleep when pregnant I am so uncomfortable! Fed up of being telling me to “sleep while I can”!!!

OP posts:
ew1990 · 17/10/2017 17:17

It takes me so long to get to sleep and then when I do I wake up for a wee or with achy legs! I average about 4 and half hours a night it's terrible

Missonhartbaby · 17/10/2017 19:14

I'm really struggling today ladies :( it's my due date and I've had on and off pains all day, I've been super tearful and emotional and right now I'm having a lie down because I feel sick and just want to cry. What is going on?!?! Please tell me it's early labour signs and I'm not just going mad! Haha

ew1990 · 17/10/2017 19:20

Apparently being sick and ermm having loose bowels is a sign your body is clearing out for labour, fingers crossed for you

THirdEeye · 17/10/2017 20:32

I'm 37 weeks now and I average about 4 hours. It takes me an age to fall asleep, then I'm waking constantly to pee and turning over is a nightmare. I'm also getting so hot!

Is anyone else experiencing a deep tingling inside? It feels like my cervix, especially when baby ( who is already engaged) presses further into my groin area.

ew1990 · 17/10/2017 20:42

I don't get the tingling but sometimes it feels like she's scratching my cervix from the inside it's a bit painful, also finding movements really uncomfortable lately, like there's no room for her to move and she's pushing out everywhere

Bobbiepin · 17/10/2017 20:47

I feel you @missionhartbaby, it'll be over soon. Try to relax, have a bath or something. It won't happen if you're on edge.

Squigglefish · 17/10/2017 20:57

@Missonhartbaby hope you're ok. I hope it is the start for you.
@ew1990 I'm feeling the same with movements, sometimes it's like she is stretching really hard and

I'm officially on maternity leave now, 2 weeks until baby is due and I already feel a bit lost.......and terrified!

Squigglefish · 17/10/2017 20:58

*And it hurts (stupid phone)

Missonhartbaby · 17/10/2017 21:00

Yea I have heard that actually... although it was only feeling sick and I've eaten now so feel less nauseous. Still a bit teary but had a good cuddle and have chilled out a bit now... think it's just I'm so ready to meet him and I really don't want to be induced. And I'm so uncomfortable and tired!!

Missonhartbaby · 17/10/2017 21:01

@Squigglefish im seriously hoping so! Thanks girls :)

lydiangel83 · 17/10/2017 21:11

I’ve also been getting pain low down and have had loose movements for weeks now so keep thinking it is pre-labour clear out! I’m 38 wks tomorrow and just starting to feel like I want to be with baby and not pregnant anymore! Constant agonising back pain and haven’t slept through the night since before March I reckon :-/

Missonhartbaby · 17/10/2017 21:29

@lydiangel83 sounds exactly like what I've been having for the past two weeks and he's still not here so fingers crossed you get to meet you LO sooner!!
And same with the sleeping... think sleeping through the night is a thing of the past now!

Squigglefish · 17/10/2017 22:57

@lydiangel83 I'm also 38 weeks tomorrow and have been the same, it crossed my mind it could be the clear out too.

mrsjkerry · 19/10/2017 07:35

37 weeks today. Come on baby 🙏🏻

Missonhartbaby · 19/10/2017 11:19

@mrsjkerry I feel ya!!!
I have a sweep today... fingers crossed it starts something!

Bobbiepin · 19/10/2017 12:16

I swear I've been pooing for weeks and nothing concrete on the contraction front. 39 weeks today...

NC1990 · 19/10/2017 12:38

Hopefully some babies start appearing soon for you ladies nearing the end Smile

I'm only 35+5 so a bit longer to go although I'm really really uncomfortable in the evenings and baby kicks are hurting me! Baby's bum is constantly sticking right out from under my ribs, feel like it's gonna burst open any minute 😩

MistyBxx · 19/10/2017 13:31

Hiya girlies! Ahhh some of you are so close to the end 😍 lush!! Very excited for you!!

I had a lovely holiday in Spain! Chilled out all week, the weather was gorgeous but I didn't over heat, I smothered on the cream and kept bump covered, still caught a lovely tan and came home feeling relaxed and blissful. I did have a cheeky paella though then felt incredibly guilty coz of the fish content! But I didn't eat any of the shellfish, and we went to a really upmarket nice traditional place with amazing reviews to try and avoid food poisoning which I managed to do! All in all it was a perfect week and one I will never forget being the last holiday before 2 becomes 3 💕

I'm now 23+4 and have a question about baby kicks.
I feel my little girlie wiggling and kicking around in there I would say "most" days, but it's not regular at all. I think generally she's more active in the morning when I have my first food and drink of the day, and at night after my dinner when I'm in front of the tv almost bedtime. But I'm not experiencing what I'd say are big "kicks" as such. Just little wriggles, flickers and twitches. Sometimes I slightly jump, but I still feel it's quite gentle. I want to start counting the kicks soon but to be honest, I'm not sure how. Like when she starts fluttering, it will last about 20-30 seconds at a time and I could feel 3 of these little sessions in the space of 5 minutes. So I'd count that as 1?? Or 3??

And then I may feel nothing allllllllllll day after that til almost 10pm and I think to myself, should I be concerned that I'm having such long periods of feeling nothing at this stage? Or is 23 weeks still early to be feeling movement?

Then other days, she doesn't stop wiggling all day and I think "right this is it, this is the start and she's going to be really active from now on" but then the next day, I may not feel a thing til 3pm!! Sometimes later!!

I have a posterior placenta meaning she's quite close to the "front" and although I'm no skinny minny, I'm not overweight so I don't have trouble feeling her when she moves. It's just the frequency (or lack of) that I'm concerned about and the intensity (and lack of!)

Also, the sensations are still very low down, like not far above my pubic bone and definitely way below my belly button.
Is she still meant to be lying so far down at almost 24 weeks?

Sorry for such a long message lol any advice would be greatly appreciated you lovely bunch xxx

ew1990 · 19/10/2017 13:53

@MistyBxx when I went in for reduced movements and 27 weeks they told me babies are still quite small at that stage, it's not until 28 weeks that you should notice a pattern but I still haven't noticed a pattern and I'm nearly 37 weeks, when I was at your stage I'd go a couple of days without feeling her, icy cold drinks normally do the trick.

Glad you enjoyed your holiday xx

ValentineFizz · 19/10/2017 20:10

Hi ladies, how is everyone doing? Quite a few folks getting near the end now, it's so exciting 😄

That's me 37 weeks today, last day at work tomorrow and so looking forward to it, I just feel slow and heavy now 😯

Thought I'd share another wee bump picture now as well, definitely all to the front, how are you all carrying? X

ew1990 · 19/10/2017 20:14

@ValentineFizz all at the front too, and quite low but always been low,

Squigglefish · 19/10/2017 20:40

Saw my midwife today, baby is head down 5/5 engaged. I don't think that's anything significant but she's getting into position, Eeek!
I've had a horrible burning pain under my ribs and she thinks it's because this baby is stuffed right under them.
Is anyone constantly thirsty?

Squigglefish · 19/10/2017 20:42

@ValentineFizz my bump looks so similar to yours. I don't look pregnant from the back, all front and still "perky", so I've been told

Missonhartbaby · 19/10/2017 20:46

Hey! Just thought I would share my sweep experience with you! It was pretty uncomfortable but not that bad and turns out I'm 2 cm dilated!! Hopefully the sweep will now speed things up, midwife said it was very favourable, cervix was thinning out and she could feel my waters and baby's head! Eee. Hopefully within the next 24 hours something will happen! Hope you are all doing well! :)
