@gracey1 it wont be much longer til LO is here and everything will seem better then! But i do know how you feel, its hard because you know they're working to support you and baby but at the same time being pregnant is a bit lonely especially near the end when your so fed up! I'm sure he understands and I'm sure most of us have been there or are there atm!

mrsjkerry · 10/10/2017 21:22

Girls please some advice.

My husband and I have tried to have sex two nights in a row (after maybe 4 months of not doing it due to the severe vomiting...). It’s just SO SO painful. It feels like someone is scratching me inside. Like his penis has a thorn on the side that is scratching and pinching and pricking. Is anyone else experiencing this or know what it might be!?

lydiangel83 · 11/10/2017 04:13

@mrsjkerry can’t help you sorry, not tried for months, DH scared of ‘hurting the baby’! I’ve warned him it may be an induction technique near the end though!

Maybe ask Midwife or GP next time you’re there? xx

Julesbegone · 11/10/2017 07:23

@mrsjkerry yes. For me, it’s as if it’s too tight for penetration. I spoke to the Midwife about it and she suggested using some form of lubrication. Haven’t tried it yet.

ScotsLamb · 11/10/2017 09:29

@mrsjkerry lots of lube and slow! I put it down to lack of use and so much blood flow.

mrsjkerry · 11/10/2017 15:16

We use soooo much lube. Getting in isn’t so much of the problem it’s like once it’s in it’s catching on something 🤔 Will mention it to midwife.

Anyone else’s week dragging? Can’t wait for maternity leave next Friday!!!

@mrsjkerry it's my last shift tomorrow and it's going sooooo slow in work today god knows what tomorrow's gunna be like

NC1990 · 12/10/2017 10:10

I'm finding the days going extreeeemely slowly too, only 11 working days left till mat leave but that seems like a lot right now! The dark mornings aren't helping 😴

Squigglefish · 12/10/2017 14:45

My best friend had her first baby last night, I'm so excited for her and it's made it all the more real.
I think my tummy has dropped and I've got a low back ache like baby is sitting right in my pelvis and my heartburn is a lot better!
TMI (Sorry) but is anyone else fed up of the extra CM? it's driving me mad! At one stage I was thinking my waters were leaking (They weren't) Blush

ew1990 · 12/10/2017 14:57

@Squigglefish I'm so glad someone else mentioned this! I thought I'd been dribbling!

lydiangel83 · 12/10/2017 16:04

What is CM?!

ew1990 · 12/10/2017 16:12

Cervical mucus- a nicer word for discharge

lydiangel83 · 12/10/2017 16:29

Ah ok! Thanks! I’ve had a bit at various stages throughout pregnancy I reckon fairly normal?!

Squigglefish · 12/10/2017 16:48

@ew1990 I'm so glad I'm not alone!! The midwife warned me about it so I was aware but..uuugh. One more delight just to add to our discomfort during the last few weeks.

Bobbiepin · 12/10/2017 17:52

Yeah, I'm the same with the CM. Thought during pregnancy I could go without pantyliners and stuff, how wrong I was!

Missonhartbaby · 12/10/2017 18:40

Yea I've had a fair amount of CM throughout the whole of my pregnancy but more since I've been nearing the end! Lovely!

ew1990 · 12/10/2017 20:28

Maternity leave has officially started for me! Knackard now after 3 12 hour shifts, it's starting to feel real now

mrsjkerry · 13/10/2017 16:14

Anyone else gained a lot of weight...? I’ve gained so much...25Kg!! And I just had a scan and the baby is massive 😬

OP posts:
Bobbiepin · 13/10/2017 17:04

Nice one @ew1990 how long until your due date.

@mrsjkerry I have no idea how much weight i've put on, midwife doesn't weigh me and neither do I but I am replying to this eating a chocolate cookie so I think its safe to say yes, I've put on a fuck ton of weight!

ew1990 · 13/10/2017 17:40

@Bobbiepin 4 weeks tomorrow, I weighed myself yesterday I've gone from 8st 2 before pregnancy to 10st7.

Bobbiepin · 13/10/2017 17:47

I think I was about 11st before pregnancy (ideal weight is 10st) and I'm certainly the heaviest I've ever been right now. I'm giving myself 6 weeks once baby is born then I'm going back to running whenever I can (more because I miss it than because of the weight). I'm aiming to run a 10km before baby is 6 months old. That might be wishful thinking but its good to have a goal.

lydiangel83 · 13/10/2017 17:53

Happy mat leave @ew1990!

I’ve put on 19kg and was 66kg to start with. I feel massive. I miss exercise @Bobbiepin and my back is killing which will be my main priority to sort out when I can. I don’t think your goal is unrealistic but just take it easy and see how you feel. My mum kept calling me fat in my 2nd trimester (she’s a bit weird) so I did quite a lot then but nothing except eating carbs for 1st and 3rd trimesters.

I do think that at the end of the day you can’t really help how or where your body puts on weight!!

ew1990 · 13/10/2017 18:07

Everyone says to me that I haven't put any weight on apart from the bump and that I don't look pregnant from the back so god knows where over 2 stone has gone - I got my first stretch marks the other day on both thighs, really small but quite a few and dark purple

mrsjkerry · 13/10/2017 19:08

@lydiangel83 I have also continued to exercise throughout. I stopped at 35 weeks; the weight is from the constant eating and grazing due to the constant nausea!!

Like you and @Bobbiepin I will want to exercise soon after baby born because I also miss doing my running. Use to do 35KM a week!! 😄

OP posts:
NC1990 · 13/10/2017 20:56

I've put on over 2 stone so far, was 8st pre-pregnancy and now 10st 3lbs 😬 I get people telling me how neat I am too ew1990 but my bump has been measuring along the very top line since 28 weeks and I feel huge! I'm 5'4" and have a very short mid-section so thinking the baby just has nowhere to go but out..
