Oh dear @mummyGof2boys it's never nice when that happens. Better number 1 than 2. If it's any consolation, despite the pelvic floor exercises, I sneezed while walking around the park yesterday and had to walk home with wet knickers like I was 2 1/2! Going to redouble the pelvic floor exercising...

Kept having nightmares about giving birth at home so ordered a pack of 25 incos (just over a fiver - bargain!) . Now where to put them..... DH thinks I've cracked

mummyGof2boys · 10/09/2017 09:47

@blueobsessive 😂😂 never had an issue with number 2 lol but my pelvic floor is crap after two babies in under 18 months and now with number 3 it's gotten worse, despite doing my exercises lol. Haha that made me giggle. He will think you are bonkers

Lauralou031986 · 10/09/2017 12:39

I'm terrible at remembering to do pelvic floor exercises, has anyone else been taking vitamins? That's another one I'm terrible at remembering Shock

mummyGof2boys · 10/09/2017 12:53

@Lauralou031986 I'm very naughty I don't think Iv taken my vitamins since week 7 😱😱

Lauralou031986 · 10/09/2017 13:21

Oh glad I'm not the only one lol

mummyGof2boys · 10/09/2017 13:29

@Lauralou031986 I'm super bad at taking tablets. I used to forget to tak the pill all the time lol even if I had it sat next to the kettle

blueobsessive · 10/09/2017 14:14

Well I was thinking, if you need an inco you need it then and there. No time to wait days for it to be delivered (probably have cracked to be honest).

Have been taking vits, but down graded to boots own as they have less iron (and the constipation with pregnacare wasn't fun).

Hope you are feeling better @ss81c . DH says I've dealt a blow for feminism by developing man flu from a cold, bless him.

Names wise I have a weird unusual surname which baby will have double barrelled with DH's more recognisable one. My name is almost the female equivalent of Chris was for boys in the 1980s so I'm used to having a v common name, and have never minded it, although like DH's has multiple different spellings, which can be time consuming. We are keen that baby can grow into their name however they turn out without giving too many preconceptions. A small academic Hercules might not thank us, nor a huge uncoordinated Grace. Really difficult to find one which we both like and our zillions of cousins have not yet used. Olivia wasn't the most original in 2015, but the mineral olivene makes up 2/3 of the upper mantle in the world so we are never far away.

Lauralou031986 · 10/09/2017 14:53

Haha yeah think I would be bad at forgetting the pill now, especially having a child, implant for me again after this one is born

Wellfuckmeinbothears · 10/09/2017 17:32

Signing in! Just found out today, still in shock!

mummyGof2boys · 10/09/2017 17:33

@Wellfuckmeinbothears congrats

Summerblush1982 · 10/09/2017 17:43

Is anyone else experiencing bad back pain??

mummyGof2boys · 10/09/2017 17:45

@Summerblush1982 yes. I have had a bad back with every pregnancy. Just now it's my right side under my shoulder blade and certain days my pelvis killls me

Summerblush1982 · 10/09/2017 17:51

Thanks @mummyGof2boys. It's really excruciating! Is it normal to have it at 13 weeks? I thosight it might be a symptom later in pregnancy when bump gets better. Even laying down or sitting up is painful :-(

mummyGof2boys · 10/09/2017 18:01

You have a hormone called relaxin going through your body that relaxes all your ligaments so things that didn't move before are now moving. It might be worth getting a birthing ball. It helped with mine. I also referred myself to physio and they gave me some advice

SS81C · 10/09/2017 19:23

Oh MummyG that peeing incident does not sound fun. I've been very lax on my pelvic floor.....better start!!
@blueobsessive that sounds like a plan. I might have to get some in too....althoigh I'm so convinced I'm going to have a quick labour that I'm now fully expecting to be in labour for days.. ...haha.
I've been rubbish at taking my vitamin d and folic acid. In fairness unless you have been specifically advised to take multi-vitamins you don't need to take anything other than vitamin D (and folic acid in first tirmester) and try and eat a balanced diet. The level of iron in most of these things is pretty minimal anyway so unlikely to negate a bigger iron problem....expensive wee as Mr Sheldon Cooper would say.

My back has been killing me on and off....i had really irritating sciatica in the first few months then pulled something in my shoulder lifting the washing (seriously I know)

I'm starting to feel better, just got an irritating cough now and I've lost my voice after the party of toddlers.....thankfully our toddler has crashed out mega early so we are lazing on the sofa.

Got my 16week apt on friday. Anyone else got theirs coming up? Xx

Lauralou031986 · 10/09/2017 19:40

This might sound like a silly question can you have coffee before a scan appointment, 20wk scan tomorrow and I knw I have to have a full bladder just not sure about coffee lol

SS81C · 10/09/2017 19:52

I presume you mean a cup of rather than doing the bladder filling thing with coffee rather than water?
There's no technical reason you can't but coffee/tea can make you need to wee so you may then find it harder to keep your bladder full.

SS81C · 10/09/2017 19:53

Ps. Exciting.....look forward to the scan pics....

Lauralou031986 · 10/09/2017 20:29

@SS81C lol yeah just the one cup, I'd be bouncing off the wall if I had more than 1 Smile

SS81C · 10/09/2017 20:50

@Lauralou - haha - I can't handle it at all in this pregnancy. Coffee or tea.. ..bleugh!
Yeah it will be fine to have one cup...plus the water xx

Lauralou031986 · 10/09/2017 20:58

@SS81C thanks, definitely water aswell, I went off tea and coffee for the first 12 weeks

CL1982 · 10/09/2017 21:33

@SS81C yes a week on Tuesday :) although it'll be 17 weeks technically.

@Summerblush1982 I started seeing a chiropractor very early and haven't looked back. Well worth it and she really has helped. Although I'll be playing in my orchestra again in a few weeks and I sense much back pain in my future again...

@blueobsessive I think Olivia is a lovely name ❤️

mummyGof2boys · 10/09/2017 22:09

@blueobsessive I love the name Olivia, it's beautiful. It's the name we had for both babies if they were going to be girls but I just feel now it's too popular.

SS81C · 11/09/2017 09:30

I like Olivia.....a lot of the names I like are becoming quite popular now as they're more old fashioned.
@Lauralou good luck with the scan today.

Lauralou031986 · 11/09/2017 09:39

Peanut is growing well and We're having a girl Smile
