Awww congrats @CL1982 sooo adorable Smile

FairfaxAikman · 17/08/2017 20:10

I've just had a particularly painful cramp/ stabbing pain.

Should I be worried?

Sah2241 · 17/08/2017 20:19

Congrats @CL1982!!

mummyGof2boys · 17/08/2017 20:35

@FairfaxAikman how far on are you? Everything is stretching and sometimes if you move too quickly it's like you have been stabbed. Don't worry.

@CL1982 ahhhhh hello baby. How cute

SS81C · 17/08/2017 20:48

Aw yeay @CL1982 I've been thinking of you today.

@fairfaxaikman if it was just a one off pain/cramp it's unlikely to be anything to worry about. Lots of changes going on so stretching pains egg are quite normal as @MummyG said..

My toddler has been a nightmare the last few days not sleeping, really grizzly etc...turns out she has a nasty ear infection. No wonder. Bloody love our NHS....phoned the surgery at 6pm (my partner came home took a look at her ear and was like yeah we need to take her to the GP asap-talk about mummy guilt) got told to come up straight away...were seen by 6.15 by a lovely GP who did not make me feel like a neurotic parent and was like if she's no better in the morning just phone and I'll prescribe antibiotics over the phone...

FairfaxAikman · 17/08/2017 20:52

Only five weeks mummy

4Bee · 17/08/2017 21:41

Oh @CL1982 that is amazing! You must be so excited after today!

@fairfaxaikman I've been getting what feel like strong period pains everyday for the last 5 days, the internet and nhs website have reassured me (enough for now) that its normal, but seeing my dr on weds so will check back in if he says anything different!

CL1982 · 17/08/2017 23:18

Thanks guys! Really excited.

@FairfaxAikman You do get some weird cramps and things. I've attached a pic of how much the baby has grown in 6 weeks-literally it does some mental crazy growing in those few weeks. It's insane. So your uterus is doing some really mad stuff.

Any worries just let us know. It is so scary when it happens I know. But a certain amount of light cramping is totally normal. Everyone told me you can get round ligament pain at 7 weeks and...I totally did. Midwife said it does happen.

By the way who else has scans coming up?

OP posts:
SS81C · 18/08/2017 06:38

Mine is Wednesday.. ..cant wait!!

TobleroneBoo · 18/08/2017 07:08

I won't have a scan for ages

Feeling like vomit is definitely on the cards today, but have to say that one slice of toasted Seed Sensation, scraped with butter, is giving me life before
I leave the house each morning

Lauralou031986 · 18/08/2017 07:30

My next scan is not till 11th sept, but hopefully we get to find out if peanut is a boy or girl Smilecan't wait

FairfaxAikman · 18/08/2017 08:36

Anyone else with a Fitbit with a HR monitor?

I've been watching my heart rate rocket since I found out - it's normally in the 50s! (61 at absolute most, but average is 56/57)

KerryLeanne84 · 18/08/2017 09:23

My scan is on Thursday next week :) Glad yours went well Claire!

SS81C · 18/08/2017 09:30

@Fairfax.. ..lots of hormonal changes going on which affect your bloodflow and therefore your HR (which is still absolutely normal) so I wouldn't worry. Could also be a bit of dehydration if you're feeling or being sick and not managing to keep much down.

@CL1982 I love your progress photos....i had scans at 8, 10 & 12 weeks with my first and the difference between those scans is unbelievable. They go from a blob to baby in such a short space of time. Xx

Summerblush1982 · 18/08/2017 09:38

Found it Smile

Summerblush1982 · 18/08/2017 09:39

Anyone else have continuous painful breasts? Mine are just not letting up....they seem to be growing by the second!!!

Summerblush1982 · 18/08/2017 09:43

@CL1982 loving your scan pics. I had a scan at 8 weeks and thinking of having another next weekend!! Followed by my dating scan at week 13!!!

Jv83 · 18/08/2017 11:01

Yes I just found out 2 days ago that I am roughly 1-2 weeks pregnant with my first

KerryLeanne84 · 18/08/2017 11:50

Congratulations @Jv83! How are you feeling?

effs · 18/08/2017 12:22

Me!!!! Scary pregnancy world is upon me!

CL1982 · 18/08/2017 12:57

@KerryLeanne84 and @SS81C That is so exciting. @Lauralou031986 Also exciting! I'm on the fence about whether to find out or not....

@FairfaxAikman it is so cool isn't it. Don't panic if it goes down again though later on :) totally normal.

@Summerblush1982 yes mine are pigging agony today. No sign of them stopping.

Did anyone else have their dd changed btw after their scan? Gone from 2 March to 27 feb!

FairfaxAikman · 18/08/2017 13:06

CL yep - was actually my first clue when it jumped to 63 the day before AF was due - is never above 61 normally.

CL1982 · 18/08/2017 13:25

@FairfaxAikman I find the whole process fascinating. I love how signs are science now ❤️

OP posts:
SS81C · 18/08/2017 13:29

@cl1982 it's not unusual for DD to change from early scans to your dating scan. Think it's due to size of baby so even a tenth of a mm could make a few days difference....
