Anyone thought of names?

We have for a boy Fionnlagh (Finlay) to you southerners 😂😂

For a girl either Isobellah or Orlaith

What do you think?

CL1982 · 08/09/2017 11:59

Like! We have Cecelia or Artemis for a girl and Archer, Dexter and Titus for a boy. We apparently do not do sensible names ❤️

I like names that are a bit different- my husband is called Chris and hated being one of 500 Chris's at school. We have a dilemma though. We've always liked Isla and that was second choice when my daughter was born, but now it is so popular it goes against our principles! I still really like it though and it goes well with my daughter's name - decisions!

mummyGof2boys · 08/09/2017 12:12

@Sah2241 we had Olivia with both boys but it's now the top name so we changed it. I like names that are different too. Hubby is very stubborn on names so can't believe we have come to agree on the names we have lol.

@CL1982 I like Cecila and Dexter. I don't think you would get a lot of them and aren't too out there

Lauralou031986 · 08/09/2017 12:13

We like Eliza Jane, and Olivia willow, and struggling with boys names we have Harry so far

CL1982 · 08/09/2017 12:25

@mummygofboys Thanks :) We are leaning towards Archer though i will admit. Too much Diane Wynne Jones and the adult cartoon i think!!! We love Cecilia so i think it'll be a winner. Oliver is a lovely name but yes - very popular.

My cousin went for Penelope for her daughter though and now it's in the top 10. Very annoying when that happens! You never can tell. i love the name Ezra from the States but it's SO popular there. Also i don't think i could face my kid telling him he was names after a wave of populism from Pretty Little Liars....Ahem.

mummyGof2boys · 08/09/2017 12:58

@CL1982 I love Ezra too but very American isn't it. That's funny, my friend just called her baby Penelope. I'm not too lean on it. I love Florence too but that's becoming popular again.

@Lauralou031986 Eliza is super cute

CL1982 · 08/09/2017 13:01

@mummygofboys yes very. I'm on the BB for Babycentre US (spelled wrong - jeesh America) and there are a LOT of names you'd just never get over here. The most popular ones were names like Cody, Hunter etc. Also a LOT of double barrelled names. I sort of skate past them as I can be inclined to get a little snooty at the 12th Lindy-Sue Jane......bless 'em.

p.s. I think Ezra is biblical.....?? It is the kind of name you'd imagine a Mormon to have.

OP posts:
mummyGof2boys · 08/09/2017 13:04

@CL1982 it does sound biblical as well but a name Americans would use. I haven't heard it over here. There is singer called Ezra is there not? I have to admit o don't like American names. Some of them sound really harsh if that makes sense.

SS81C · 08/09/2017 13:13

Our toddler has an unusual welsh name. Although bizarrely when we moved into our new house our neighbours daughter has the same name.
I like Osian for a boy and Arwen for a girl - Osian is quite popular in Wales though....
We haven't spoken about it really though.....we didnt decide until DH was born.
I really like Florence, it's a family name too but again quite popular. I also like Laurence (Laurie) but DH isn't keen. Plus we are stuck with random family middle name from his side so it needs to go with that.

Sah2241 · 08/09/2017 17:48

I've asked my daughter for her views on the name issue. Rainbow glitter sparkle anyone?

SS81C · 08/09/2017 18:01

Love it........😂😂

mummyGof2boys · 08/09/2017 18:30

Brilliant name 😂😂

Lauralou031986 · 08/09/2017 18:41

I like it Smile

Bluebell93 · 08/09/2017 18:47

Hi guys, been following you through both threads but feel like I should introduce myself now!

I'm 12+6 according to our scan we had yesterday, just told work so everything's feeling pretty real!

Name wise we really like Lyra for a girl, but are unsure for a boy - thinking maybe Atticus but that might be too 'out there' or pretentious? Don't really like any boys names though!

CL1982 · 08/09/2017 19:08

@SS81C you're going to have to fight me for that one 😂 bless them. That is so cute. I'm taking my 9 year old niece shopping tomorrow so may ask her opinion....

Oh weird, I've no idea why that posted twice, sorry! You are all welcome to rainbow glitter sparkle, we've already got 3 in our family so it would just be confusing 😂😂

mummyGof2boys · 09/09/2017 20:35

Well that's a First Ladies. Just proper peed myself while being sick. Like not just a dribble 😩😩 every time I thinking I'm getting somewhere it creeps back on me. How are you all?

CL1982 · 09/09/2017 20:44

Oh @mummyGof2boys that is horrible and hilarious. You poor thing- Get doing those kegals! I shall too.

I just took my 9 year old niece out shopping for her birthday. I am beyond exhausted. I'm absolutely shattered!! Too much!! It was too much. I'm officially a light weight.

My pregnancy exercise DVD arrived. It looks hilarious. I plan to give it a go Sunday...

@mummyGof2boys hope you feel better soon, it doesn't sound pleasant

mummyGof2boys · 10/09/2017 08:03

@CL1982 @Lauralou031986 it was hilarious and horrible at the same time. I burnt all my throat too. I just get random spots of sickness and then feel fine. So strange. Haha that's not good bet she had fun though.
