@mummyGof2boys 15.2 today and NOTHING :( No flutters or nudges despite my prodding poor WN a lot!! Much love to your mum. Hopefully they're just double checking her...

@Sah2241 That's kind but you're right- I think I would pop it!!!

@SS81C I think you and I are almost dd buddies aren't we so will also be 16 weeks around then. As I said to mummyg no wiggles at all here but it is #1 so could take longer.

Oh no @mummyGof2boys . I wouldn't wish a week of drama on anyone. Hope the biopsy goes well. At least they have found it and are checking it and doing so speedily. This is better than not doing so. The science has come on such a way since my mother had breast cancer in the early 2000s (she survived and is completely fine now btw). Best of luck to her. Fingers all crossed.

You have your hands full but I'm glad you live in a supportive village with midwives close by. Hope one of them has one of those little listening devices at your 16 week appointment, although with kicks going on you know they are up to something in there.

Good to everyone with scans and appointments coming up.

I'm 14+1. Next appointments are the indomitable dr H (obst) next tues and prem clinic (6 days until I can see drama llama). I think I felt a movement earlier. Would be earlier than O but Placenta is posterior this time so maybe...

CL1982 · 07/09/2017 15:51

Does it make a difference if the placenta is at the front?

OP posts:
mummyGof2boys · 07/09/2017 16:23

@CL1982 yes it can mask the kicks at front but you will be able to feel movements at sides and back if uterus. You could jut be too early to feel anything for your first though.

@blueobsessive Fingers crossed it's just a reassurance scan and biopsy. She is totally breaking her heart and thinking the worst. It much be horrible.

Heartbeat is nice and strong but sounds different to the boys. Not as fast as boys.

blueobsessive · 07/09/2017 16:54

Hoping so @mummyGof2boys . I know the waiting is really grim, but it is good she is being seen. Poor thing though

Glad baby has heartbeat. Maybe he or she is a calm and easy going child.

Pretty sure calm and drama llama are not at all acquainted.

mummyGof2boys · 07/09/2017 17:06

@blueobsessive haha drama lhama I fear may be a wild child 😂😂

Yeah she is panicking and all I can do is just reassure her that everything will be ok.

Baby is going mental tonight lol feeling it so much more now. It's so lovely.

SS81C · 07/09/2017 17:40

@cl1982 Yes I think we are...im the 26th Feb now.
I think around 18-20 weeks is average with your first - certainly wouldn't worry that you're not. Mine are really subtle bubbles with the odd nudge. I reckon I would miss most of them if I wasn't looking out for it. Can't wait to be getting regular movements.

@mummyG sending love to you both...what a worrying time. Excellent that she is being seen quickly though but all that waiting must be horrible.

I find it amazing how people are posting about babies due in May already. Doesn't feel like 5 minutes ago we started chatting on this thread!!

Feeling a little better this evening. I have a new strategy of napping when toddler naps in the day. Not getting any housework done but I feel better for it. Back at work tomorrow though but then a week off.

mummyGof2boys · 07/09/2017 17:51

@SS81C my 20 week scan is the 9th of October too at 9.30 😊😊

SS81C · 07/09/2017 18:32

@MummyG mine is at 2pm....

CL1982 · 07/09/2017 18:50

@SS81C yes very much so! I'm just getting my head around April babies 😍 let alone my Feb/march baby....

OP posts:
mummyGof2boys · 07/09/2017 19:22

@SS81C are you finding out?

@CL1982 I can't believe how far on we all are!!! It's gone so fast

SS81C · 07/09/2017 19:36

@MummyGof2boys yes if we can! Are you?
@cl1982 have you got a date for your anomaly scan yet.

mummyGof2boys · 07/09/2017 19:53

@SS81C no I don't think we are finding out this time. I really am dying to but hubby won't change mind now lol

CL1982 · 07/09/2017 20:22

@SS81C I do! It's second week of October I think. We're getting scanned week after next though as well :)

What kind of thing do they pick up on be anomaly scan usually?

OP posts:
mummyGof2boys · 07/09/2017 20:41

@CL1982 they will check where the placenta is, make sure everything is developing well with baby, no heart defects, missing limbs etc

Part 2 - anyone found out they are pregnant and want some buddies
CL1982 · 07/09/2017 20:46

@mummyGof2boys thank you-that is very helpful :)

It sounds like the 'main' scan if you know what I mean...scary. But is good to check everything for sure.

OP posts:
mummyGof2boys · 07/09/2017 21:01

@CL1982 that's the main Hingis it's checks. There are things it can't find and won't pick up all cases if the conditions on the list but most scans are positive. Don't panic. Just enjoy seeing your wee baby.

Lotsalotsagiggles · 08/09/2017 05:06

Me me me ! Can I join?

Sooo hard not telling anyone, I need some buddies!

I'm 5 weeks 6 days today

SS81C · 08/09/2017 06:44

Urgh I've had to call in sick again today. I hate hate hate being off work and this is the second time this pregnancy I'm off with something I'd normally just take some drugs and get on with ....but my DH gave me a talking to as I was sniffing and coughing and spluttering round the bedroom getting ready this morning that I really need to be looking after myself and if I'm unwell I'm unwell.....so I'm tucked up in bed with a cup of lemon and ginger tea feeling a bit sorry for myself.....

Congratulations @lotsalotsagiggles - we are mostly a bit further on now but a super friendly bunch so feel free to join us for a natter. Are you feeling ok?

mummyGof2boys · 08/09/2017 07:10

@Lotsalotsagiggles welcome and congratulations. How are you feeling?

@SS81C Hope you feel better soon. Hate the cold

Lauralou031986 · 08/09/2017 08:00

@SS81C hope you feel better soon @Lotsalotsagiggles congrats hope you've been feeling ok

blueobsessive · 08/09/2017 09:26

@SS81C hope you feel better soon. Keep warm . I don't recommend outside today. It's grim.

Welcome @Lotsalotsagiggles

Work today but visiting our local nursery's open day tomorrow. It's starting to feel more real....

CL1982 · 08/09/2017 09:36

@SS81C Sometinesyou have to just back down. I was off work yesterday with a banging headache. We were understaffed but I'm so glad I did it. It was very painful. Hey ho. I am putting myself and this baby first.

@Lotsalotsagiggles welcome! It's a crazy feeling isn't it when you find out :)

OP posts:
CL1982 · 08/09/2017 09:36

P.s are you feeling better @SS81C?!

OP posts:
Sah2241 · 08/09/2017 11:18

Time feels like it is going quite quickly now, can't believe we're heading for the halfway point! I've been thinking that i've been feeling movement for the past couple of weeks but haven't been 100% sure until today - now there's no denying it! It is such a fab feeling, and is making me feel reassured that all is happy in there!

Welcome and congrats to the newcomers!

@CL1982 don't feel bad, look after yourself x
