Glad I'm not the only one with a hairy belly 😂
Is anyone further along than me? 35+1?

I had pronominal labour on Sunday, was absolutely awful. Thought it was true labour and the annoying midwife at the hospital just kept saying 'it's normal' what's normal about going into labour 6 weeks early?! Anyways turns out it wasn't labour but everyone I was with at the time thought it was! Anyone else heard of this because non of us had!

ew1990 · 16/08/2017 20:01

@NutCase82 never heard of it, bet that was scary!

mrsjkerry · 16/08/2017 20:07

Never heard of it @NutCase82 but full term is anytime from 37 weeks...so doesn't seem that early!!

I used to be quite large so my belly has probably been this big before years ago. I'm hoping that means I'll avoid the stretch marks but you're right. They're evidence of the little life you grew 💕

@Bobbiepin what happened when you went in for reduced movement? What did they do?

Bobbiepin · 16/08/2017 21:19

@ew1990 they were great, got me to do a urine sample, then strapped two monitor/sensors on my bump (what they put on women in labour on one born) which was linked up to an ECG type machine. They explained the numbers (one was baby's heart rate and the other measures contractions) and what they should be. I could hear the heart beat the whole time too. Blood pressure taken towards the end. I was hooked up for about 25 mins or so, before they said everything was fine and sent me home with the print out in my notes. She was moving by that point, the MW said babies often wiggle with the straps on. Is everything ok?

MSH2010 · 16/08/2017 21:23

It's been a difficult 36hrs 😪🤒
But they're here. 32 +3 weeks weighing 4lb5 and 3lb8 nurses are really pleased with them

mrsjkerry · 16/08/2017 21:30

That's amazing @MSH2010 so pleased for you they are beautiful! Huge congratulations! Such a relief that they arrived safe and well. You're the first in this group :) thanks for the lovely pic. Good luck to you for a speedy and full recovery. Will you be allowed home soon? Xx

Bobbiepin · 16/08/2017 21:35

@MSH2010 I'm so so happy for you (actually tearing up a bit) I'm so glad you are all ok. Massive congratulations!!! They are beautiful. How are you?

MSH2010 · 16/08/2017 21:41

I'm stuck in until early next week at least whilst they sort me out :(

TheLionQueen1 · 16/08/2017 21:49

Congratulations MSH!! How are you feeling?

Did you already know what you were having? Have you thought about names?

They're so cute, you must be over the moon!

lydiangel83 · 16/08/2017 22:38

Oh no @MSH2010 - that is a drag. I hope the babies are close by and you're able to be near them xx

ew1990 · 16/08/2017 23:06

@MSH2010 they are gorgeous, well done and congratulations!!

@Bobbiepin everything's fine not felt her move today so they wanted me to go up for monitoring, xx

Bobbiepin · 16/08/2017 23:08

@ew1990 are you going in now? Assuming you've done all the usual baby wiggle tricks? Hope you're both ok x

ew1990 · 16/08/2017 23:16

@Bobbiepin I've just got back, i tried the ice cold drink and then lying on side did that for a hour and half and the wriggling about and the eating but I didn't feel anything, she was kicking in the hospital I couldn't feel it but the thing they put on your stomach wouldn't stop jumping, now I'm home she's not stopped, I feel dead daft now but I was nearly crying when I couldn't feel, it's awful when your so used to the kicking away and then suddenly you can't feel it

Bobbiepin · 17/08/2017 00:05

@ew1990 that's exactly how I felt. Its just so scary isn't it! Once that thought comes to mind there's no getting rid of it and it just gets worse the longer it goes on. I wasn't sure if I should call the midwife and DH said to trust my intincts, all I could think was what could happen if I was wrong.

I'm really glad you're both ok though.

ew1990 · 17/08/2017 00:08

It is scary, especially on the way there praying everything's alright, she's wriggling away as I speak - I think she's annoyed I woke her from a day long nap lol x

lydiangel83 · 17/08/2017 06:32

I don't have any distinguishing features on my belly but my belly button is very tender/ sensitive, does anyone else have that?!

mrsjkerry · 17/08/2017 07:24

I haven't felt my baby move for 24 hours. This is normal for me thanks to the extra thick anterior placenta I've got. It's so frustrating. I know I can't ring the hospital every time I don't feel anything as I'd phone them about three times a week!

I have a Doppler and that goes some way to reassuring me she's ok in there...

Does anyone else have piles and if so what have you done about it? Do I need to go to the Doctors? Oh the glamour!

MSH2010 · 17/08/2017 07:49

All I will say ladies is trust your body!
If you don't feel right don't take no for an answer!
I called my assessment unit at 10am on Friday, they tried fobbing me off saying it was a virus. So I tried going home to sleep.
Fast forward 6 hours I was in an ambulance being blue lighted from one hospital to another.
My platelets had to dropped to a seriously low level on Tuesday which meant I nearly had a general but thank God is kick off enough.
Despite having a c section Tuesday I'm still bed bound. My platelets have increased from the shockingly low level after surgery but they aren't great.
I've level 3 HELLP preeclampsia. Yet this time last week I was at work!!

Bobbiepin · 17/08/2017 08:16

@mrsj its all about whats normal for you and your baby. She had been moving all weekend and then had nothing on Monday. I guess you know what is normal for you although my heart goes out to you, it can't be easy.

@lydiangel nope, not yet, sorry. Could a pharmacist do anything? NHS website?

@MSH2010 you are a bloody hero. I'm so thankful you got the care you needed eventually and you are ok. You're definitely right about trusting your instincts. How are you feeling? And how are the babies?

DarcyParty · 17/08/2017 09:14

@MSH2010 Just wanted to say they're absolutely beautiful, well done ❤

lydiangel83 · 17/08/2017 09:27

Oh wow @MSH2010 you are a hero well done! And well done on trusting your instincts. Hoping you can be up and about soon and enjoy your beautiful babies xxx

MSH2010 · 17/08/2017 09:28

Thanks all. I'm doing ok. It's tough being on observation with ladies and their newborns when mine are across the hospital 😔 but hoping for my first cuddle today
