Olne day at a time, eh Dancing? Grin

Aww rider that is so sweet.

DancingUnicorn · 06/08/2017 15:19

Indeed Brenna!

I'm doing ok Rider suffering with headaches ATM. But trying not to moan too much. The time till my scan seems to be crawling by!! Our parents were also very excited and popped champagne to celebrate. It made me feel quite uncomfortable, as I just know there's no guarantee!

Starpatrol · 06/08/2017 21:37

Hi everyone can I join please, I will be 11 weeks tomorrow but I am finding it a bit hard after I had my last mc at 13 weeks. I just find it hard to believe I am actually pregnant! Even though I have had brown spotting and slight cramps for the last week although I had a scan at 9 weeks and saw a h/b so fingers crossed.

I Have read previous posts and congratulations to all who have had the successful scans and sending Flowers to all that it has not worked out for.

Brenna24 · 07/08/2017 08:17

Hi and welcome Star. Sorry about your loss. I hope this one is a lucky one for you. When is your dating scan?

peachgreen · 07/08/2017 08:26

Welcome StarPatrol! All miscarriages are cruel but a late miscarriage makes getting through a subsequent pregnancy even tougher, I reckon, because it takes longer to reach the point where you feel a bit safer. But you're almost there and doing well.

Lulu2515 · 07/08/2017 11:06

Hello can I jump on?

Am currently 7 weeks .... killing myself waiting for second scan tomorrow morning. Scan last week had no heartbeat but hospital were reassuring that it was too early. With 2 mmc under my belt, I can't help but be ridiculously nervous.
Am on annual leave and literally don't know what to do with myself!

Perpetualstateofchaos · 07/08/2017 11:13

Hi lulu I've got another week to wait until a scam my epu won't do it before 8 weeks. Which is frustrating when ive had 4 miscarriages in the past 18 months I'm just trying to hold on to the fact I've usually miscarried by now but at the same time I don't believe I am pregnant.

WLMcI · 07/08/2017 11:30

Welcome and congratulations @StarPatrol and @Lulu! It's so nerve-wracking until you get past the point where you feel safer; we've all been there/are there. Fx for you both!

My parents were really happy for us this time as last time, but my in-laws reacted very little. We told them at dinner that we were expecting, we'd gone for an 8-week scan and seen a heartbeat, and they were like "Right, right, OK" and continued eating. It was actually a really hurtful reaction and I wish they'd been a bit more supportive given the positive scan--it felt like they didn't want to back a losing horse. They're happy now that I'm 19 weeks of course, but it doesn't take away the sting of them being unwilling to invest at the start (not that I can say that to them or to DH).

AmyB1986 · 07/08/2017 11:58

Welcome @Starpatrol and @Lulu2515

@WLMcI my in-laws were the same as yours. They totally failed to acknowledge this pregnancy and to be honest still do.

Approaching 30 weeks now. I'm still kind of in a state of denial too. I don't feel pregnant really apart from the huge bump, exhaustion and movements it doesn't feel real!
I'm having waves of nausea today, not sure if it's pregnancy or food related...
hope everyone has a good day

rider1975 · 07/08/2017 17:32

Welcome ladies - hope those upcoming scans go well. 10 weeks - starting to show a bit.

Starpatrol · 07/08/2017 22:22

Hi hope everyone is wellSmile

Thanks Brenna and peach my 13 week scan is due 2 weeks today I can't wait but that's when my mc happened last time on the morning my scan was due. If I get to my scan that will be more than last timeSad. Have you had your scans yet? And how have things been for you two?

Hi WLM and Amy that's not very nice of the in-laws is it? When I told my dad I was pregnant with my first dc he could not look any more disappointed in me even though I was 32 and had been with dp for 10 years ! So that's why I haven't told him I'm pregnant yetSmile.

Amy 30 weeks well done you. That's
you nearly there hope it goes in quick from now onSmile

Rider starting to show already thats amazing! I'm sure I can feel something after I lift my tummy up and squish away some fatGrin

DancingUnicorn · 08/08/2017 07:40

It's strange isn't it amy and wlmcl. We told both sets of parents as they were all together a few weeks ago. They were so excited and popped champagne. I kind of wished they'd been more subdued as I know there is just no guarantee!

INeedABiggerBoat · 08/08/2017 08:40

Hi everyone, can I join? I'm 7 weeks along after having a MC at 5 weeks back in June. On holiday right now, counting down the days to my 8 week scan, and I've started getting mild cramps in a very specific part of my womb. It's making me really anxious because I had cramps like this last time the day before I started MC-ing. Has anyone else had this? It's like a tiny, pulsing pain just on the right hand side of my womb. My imagination is telling me it's the baby pulling away Sad

mogulfield · 08/08/2017 09:19

Welcome to all the newbies star lulu and boat
boat I've had period like cramps (and other pains) throughout this pregnancy so far (12 weeks today), and at points they have felt so strong I've been wiping expecting to see blood.
When I spoke to midwife about them she wasn't concerned unless theyre really really painful/there is red blood.
Growing a baby does hurt a bit and that's normal Smile

TeaAndPjs · 08/08/2017 09:27

Just placemarking till I go catch up :) hope youre all well

AmyB1986 · 08/08/2017 09:52

Morning all hope you're all ok...

@DancingUnicorn my parents were really excited but knew we were both worried so they congratulated us and my mum sent us a card with a lovely message inside. We still have only told close friends and family, people who don't see me often still don't know!

Welcome @INeedABiggerBoat. I also had cramps and was sure my period would arrive any second. It went on up until around 12 weeks. Mine were quite bad and really worried me but everything was fine and I'm now 29+5!

Taking a trip to Lincoln today to visit my brother and his family. Cannot wait to get my hands on his twins! He keeps sending me cute pics teasing me! I've not even held the little one yet as I was too scared to. He was so tiny and had tubes everywhere. He has only nasal oxygen prongs now and weights almost 8lbs so feel a bit more confident that I won't break him! The chunky twin is nearly 10lbs and I could just eat him, he's like one of those squishy jelly sweets!

Lulu2515 · 08/08/2017 11:18

Hello all!
Just had second scan- dated as 6+6 and saw a little flickery heatbeat- yay. Fingers crossed all remains good.

Amy my DM reacted the same when I gave her a 10 week scan pic of my DS. I brought it up later and she said because of my previous mmc she didn't want to grt too carried away and cause me potentially even more upset... still hurt though and took the shine off a bit. Congratulations! X

Perpetualstateofchaos · 08/08/2017 11:56

That's great lulu. I can't wait to have mine but so long to wait and I'm driving myself crazy.
We haven't told anyone at all we daren't unroll we know everything's ok.

peachgreen · 08/08/2017 12:18

Thanks for asking @Starpatrol! I'm 16+2 today and have my midwife appointment this afternoon. Desperately hoping that they listen for, and can find, the heartbeat - my placenta is anterior so I'm worried that will prevent it and then I'll have an agonising two-week wait for my private scan (my 20 week scan isn't until 22 weeks so 6 weeks away!). I'm having the odd day where I feel AWFUL - nauseous, headaches, achey muscles, almost like I'm getting the flu - but otherwise I feel mostly fine so that's a bit scary! Just praying little bean is okay in there.

Hello everyone just checking in from hol! Hope everyone's doing ok. Hope your midwife appointment went well this afternoon peach and utter good luck for Thursday - I'm only a week behind you but my 20 week scan is almost 2 weeks away, seems like forever to wait!

Definitely think a new thread is needed!
