So sorry pies.

Mogul was it an external scan or tv one? I think a scan can dislodge blood sometimes.

I wish all of us could have worry free pregnancies. It feels so unjust.

SayItIsntSo1 · 02/08/2017 10:33

pies I am so, so sorry. As others have said, it is nothing you've done. And you couldn't have done anything to stop it from happening either.

The EPAU should support whatever you want in terms of management.

I hope you have lots of support and we are all here for you too.

Oh god pies I am so so so sorry xx

mogulfield · 02/08/2017 10:52

juniper it was just a normal external scan, she was forceful tho and it hurt but they sometimes do? So worried Sad bleeding has stopped but am trying to rest.

Miami81 · 02/08/2017 11:15

Oh @Lifeofpies I am so so sorry. Flowers

Miami81 · 02/08/2017 11:17

And as others have said it is definitely not something that you can control. Life is random and unfortunately you have been given a really shit time of it. Mind yourself and your partner over the next weeks and months.

Miami81 · 02/08/2017 11:19

Mogul
I think the scans can be pretty rough. I felt bruised after one of mine around 9 wks, she really went for it with that wand. Maybe give epu a quick call and then see if they have any nice settling words for you. Do you have a 12 wk scan next week??

itsgoingtoofast · 02/08/2017 11:24

@Lifeofpies I am so so sorry. It was nothing you did, and you did nothing wrong by being excited. I would think you would be able to have an Erpc if that would be your preference. I was booked in for a second one when I had a miscarriage in June and it wasn't a problem at all. I didn't need it in the end though. Hugs to you. It's so cruel to have to endure this.

@mogulfield hopefully this is nothing to worry about, but so so unsettling especially when you've just had a scan. Are you going to give epu a call for some advice?

peachgreen · 02/08/2017 11:42

@LifeofPies I'm so, so sorry. I really hope they're able to give you some answers. It absolutely wasn't anything you did but hopefully there's an easily remedied underlying cause that can be addressed. Thinking of you. Flowers

@mogulfield I'd give the EPU / your GP a call I think. Red bleeding should probably be checked out, even though the likelihood is that everything's okay.

harrietm87 · 02/08/2017 12:01

Hi everyone. I'm very tentatively joining again. I was on this thread back in March/April when I conceived after two mcs, then had an mmc with that one too at 9 weeks.

I'm 14dpo today. Got a bfp at 10dpo. This is my 4th pregnancy, no babies yet. I had tests after the third mc and have high NK cells, so on steroids and progesterone now privately.

I had cramping and brown spotting last night. Still crampy today but no more spotting. Fully preparing myself to lose this one too but haven't totally given up hope so going to try stay posifrickentive!!

pies I'm so sorry for your loss. Wishing you all the best for your recovery and hope to see you on this board again soon.

thisismadness77 · 02/08/2017 12:05

Sorry pies. How many m/c have you had? I've had three consecutive and the last two were missed. I asked for ERPC the last two, the last one I went in the very next day as I just wanted it done. I hope you have some company now, we are all here for you. Flowers

theotherendofthesockportal · 02/08/2017 12:47

@Lifeofpies there aren't enough words to say how sorry I am to hear this. You have done absolutely nothing wrong, it's a natural process for women to blame themselves. When I had my MMC one of my friends told me that my baby was too beautiful for this world, I found this a comfort, I hope it will for you too. Take care of yourself

@mogulfield sending positive vibes, definitely contact the hospital and tell them what's happening.

@harrietm87 welcome back, I'm also sending you positive thoughts.

mogulfield · 02/08/2017 12:48

Welcome harriet
I rang my midwife who seemed unconcerned because of the small amount. She said if it happens again they'll book me a scan. I think because I literally saw the baby this morning she's not worried.
Fingers crossed.

Lifeofpies · 02/08/2017 12:49

Thank you all so much. erpc booked for Friday, they were fully supportive when I asked, thank goodness. Just want to reset hormones/body asap and try to start getting over the loss.

Wishing you ALL the very, very best - take good care of yourselves and hopefully I'll be back before too long. Xxx

rider1975 · 02/08/2017 13:19

So sorry pies and glad to hear you're taking fast steps forward Flowers

Brenna24 · 02/08/2017 13:35

I am so sorry Pies. Flowers I am glad they are doing the ERPC quickly. Take care of yourself and as others have said, don't blame yourself.

I hope it is nothing Mogul. How worrying. I think I have a very irritable cervix and that seems to be where all my bleeding comes from. Hopefully it is something like that.

Welcome harriet. I am also in the pred and progesterone corner. Also my 4th pregnancy, with a MMc and 2 MC previously. Best of luck with this one. I hope the meds make all the difference.

mogulfield · 02/08/2017 13:59

Glad it's sorted pies
Thanks brenna the fact I've had no pain at all is giving me hope. I'm keeping an eye on things but it all seems settled now.

itsgoingtoofast · 02/08/2017 16:16

@Lifeofpies I understand that, I hope the procedure goes smoothly for you on Friday. Take good care of yourself, pamper yourself a little if you can. I hope very much to hear from you again soon. Good luck x

itsgoingtoofast · 02/08/2017 16:18

@mogulfield that sounds reassuring. I'm glad you managed to speak with someone.

Welcome Harriet!

harrietm87 · 02/08/2017 16:22

Thanks everyone.

brenna that's the same as me - 2 natural mcs and last one was mmc. How far along are you now and did you have any cramping/spotting? I didn't have this with any of my mcs but panicking now that it's a sign of the end already!

I am over 11 weeks now. 11+4 if we go by the last scan, 11+6 if we go by ovulation. I had 9 days of red bleeding from 6+0 to 7+2 with no cramping. I got scanned at 6+1 and all was well, no sign of where the bleeding was from and 9+3 and again all was well. Baby had grown perfectly and no signs of problems. I suspect the bleeding may have been my cervix being irritated by the progesterone. I tried a couple of the pessaries rectally during that week, which made no difference, but it stopped when I started taking them all rectally. You may want to just take it rectally and avoid having that scare.

I have had the odd mild cramps from my uterus stretching and some round ligament pain, but no miscarriage like cramps. Plus some period pain and a day of red spotting just before my first period was due. I have had a lot of nausea but not actually been sick and the odd really scary day when the nausea/bloating and general feeling of being pregnant disappeared for a couple of days at a time. It is not as severe this week as it was before, but still comes and goes so I am hoping that is just because I am so close to 12 weeks now. I started reducing the dose of steroids on monday. Down to 10mg daily from 20mg.

I'll let you know on friday after my dating scan whether or not we have made it this far but I feel vaguely hopeful right now. This is the first dating scan appointment I have kept rather than cancelling, and my MMC baby didn't make it past 8 weeks, so we are definitely further on.

Best of luck to you. I hope the steroids do their job.

AmyB1986 · 02/08/2017 17:40

@Lifeofpies I'm so sorry, look after yourself

@Brenna24 11+4 😁😁 Good luck with your scan on Friday.

Welcome @harrietm87

Been at work this morning was way too hard. I've spoken to my manager and I'm now on permanent evening shifts until I finish for maternity leave in 6 weeks.
I've decided on this as some of the staff who work on the morning shifts are so inconsiderate its making my blood boil. I am absolutely huge, measured my waist and it's already at 50 inches so pretty heavily pregnant but the staff feel I should still be doing what I did before at the same pace which I really can't. I can't bend down, get down on my hands and knees or lean over beds anymore. Spd is also kicking off quite badly and I've been hobbling around for much of the morning trying my best to keep up.
I finally gave in an hour before my shift was due to end and sat down with the paper work which was met with disgusted looks.
Also my stupid dear cat woke me up at 3.30am and I couldn't get back to sleep. Alarm went off at 5.45 which made me want to cry.
Safe to say I'm absolutely exhausted and ready for my bed already!
Hope everyone else has had a good day

rider1975 · 02/08/2017 17:57

That sounds horrendous AmyB what a set of horrible selfish moronic colleagues you have. Where's the harm in cutting you a bit of slack.

I had a good day Smile massive relief with a good scan at 9+2. Always so emotional - next scan on 23 Aug Smile
