I'm 39+2 and eagerly awaiting the arrival of DC2.

Who else is analyzing ever little twinge and cramp??

DD was born 39+5. I was checked over yesterday due to a very tender, sore bump (everything fine) and baby wasn't yet engaged.

Are you all prepared??

Congratulations Lady! That was quick work! Hope the heat in the hospital isn't too bad Smile

SleepForTheWeek · 19/06/2017 09:34

LadyNymeriaGhost congratulations. Really quick labour. What are the antibiotics needed for? Is that because of induction or other reasons?

LadyNymeriaGhost · 19/06/2017 11:14

Thank you all. I've nicked a fan from another room and somehow got myself my own room so it's quite pleasant in here!
User the abs are because I tested positive for group strep b. They're just a precaution.

SunnyAfternoonFizz · 20/06/2017 02:29

Due my induction tomorrow but thankfully we seem to have some action tonight! Pretty strong contractions every 8-10mins. Excited/ scared... exhausted!!!!!

LadyNymeriaGhost · 20/06/2017 04:23

Good luck Sunny!

CaptainWarbeck · 20/06/2017 05:27

Congrats lady and good luck sunny! Lots of good news on this thread lately.

Nothing happening here except a very achy back, feeling hormonal and wanting to clean everything.

Mustbeinsane1984 · 20/06/2017 06:05

Congratulations lady! That was quick!

Good luck sunny, how's it going?

Nothing to report here, went for massive walk last night when it was a bit cooler but baby still doesn't want to make an appearance.

Captain, I've been organised for few weeks as thought I would go early but now I just have zero energy to clean anything. I'm hoping I get into the mood one day before baby arrives.

Donostia · 20/06/2017 07:56

Nothing to report either. I keep getting my hopes up with a wave of lower back pain but then it is just followed by a big fart Blush

CaptainWarbeck · 20/06/2017 11:27

It's very weird must - I never had it with DC1 but this time round I just feel like everything needs to be orderly and neat and clean and tidy and organised. It's very unlike normal me. The house has never looked so spotless. I was scrubbing kitchen cupboard doors with a baby wipe this morning Blush

A nice lady at the supermarket checkout looked at my bump and asked me how long I had to go today. I nearly shouted 'FOUR DAYS!' at her, she seemed a bit surprised and then very sympathetic.

Mustbeinsane1984 · 20/06/2017 23:57

Donostia-haha I sympathise with you!

Captain-it's strange isn't it. Everything been organised but my house does need a good once over and I just can not be bothered 😕

Bless it is difficult. Everyday I pick DS up from school I'm always met with some comment. Managed a massive food shop today so at least DS and DH won't starve if I go into labour. Also washed the car and sat all evening on the gym ball but still nothing. 5 days to go.....

user1496604328 · 21/06/2017 10:53

SunnyAfternoonFizz how are things going? Do you still need your induction today?

SleepForTheWeek · 21/06/2017 19:51

How are you all coping with the heat? (Those in U.K. Who aren't used to it!!)

I went in to labour myself so induction wasn't needed, so pleased. Baby Fizz born yesterday!

WizardLizard · 22/06/2017 05:44

Congratulations fizz! Love waking up to new baby news!

CaptainWarbeck · 22/06/2017 06:38

Lovely news, congrats fizz GrinFlowers

LadyNymeriaGhost · 22/06/2017 07:22

Welcome to the world (and the thread!) baby Fizz! Congratulations. Grin

Sundaygal · 22/06/2017 07:58

Congrats Fizz, I've got an induction booked for Sunday but hoping to go on my own beforehand ... So I LOVE your story Grin

Mustbeinsane1984 · 22/06/2017 08:00

Congratulations fizz! I hope all went well. Smile

Still nothing this morning....

Finally cleaned my house yesterday, half hoped the movement would help me along. Any ideas to get this baby moving?

Donostia · 22/06/2017 08:20

Congratulations fizz lovely news!

Headed off to the hospital now as haven't felt a movement since last night. DS(3yrs) has woken up
with either impetigo or chickenpox! Great timing son Hmm

And MIL arrives today so no
more farting around (literally - why is there so much wind?!!!) on the sofa in nothing but my undercrackers, but a lot of tidying and hostessing to do ON TOP of fiercely trying to blitz the house and kill off any nasties that have been living on the skin of DS.

39+5

LadyNymeriaGhost · 22/06/2017 17:59

Hope everything was ok Donostia.

Mustbeinsane1984 · 22/06/2017 19:26

Hi all, how are you this evening?

Donostia - how did you get on at the hospital?

How are all you ladies doing with your newborns! I'm getting ever more jealous.

Managed another pregnancy fitness class tonight and baby has been going wild since! Hoping tonight's the night... fingers crossed.

39+4 getting impatient.

SleepForTheWeek · 23/06/2017 03:57

Congratulations Fizz! Great that you went into labour yourself Smile

Donostia I hope everything went OK at hospital. And your poor DS!! What timing!

Must you don't have long to go at all - well done for still managing classes at this stage! Hopefully it'll get things moving...

DD2 is getting on grand - she's so far quite a content newborn and I'm absolutely amazed I can put her in her Moses basket awake and she just falls asleep?! That was something DD1 never mastered haha

Thanks all, being a mummy is wonderful! Welcome to the world to all the new arrivals and good luck to those with little ones still in the way!

CaptainWarbeck · 23/06/2017 05:31

Sleep falling asleep by herself sounds amazing, I hope this baby can do that!

I'm so fed up. Went for routine midwife appt yesterday, all fine, talked about potential induction at 40+10, had a sweep, nothing happened since. Been tired, crampy with a sore back and very grumpy. I'm caught between really not wanting to be so pregnant any more but not much wanting to go through labour either.

It is better to have your baby out than still be hugely pregnant right?!!

39+6.
