I'm 39+2 and eagerly awaiting the arrival of DC2.

Who else is analyzing ever little twinge and cramp??

DD was born 39+5. I was checked over yesterday due to a very tender, sore bump (everything fine) and baby wasn't yet engaged.

Are you all prepared??

You never know tabby, a friend of mine went into labour naturally the evening before she was due for induction. It can happen Smile

Show is a sign things are progressing must so at least that's a good sign.

user1497012351 · 30/06/2017 17:37

Tabby sorry to hear about the home birth becoming unlikely (but you never know the baby might come on it's own before that?)
I too would be really disappointed to have a hospital induction instead of a home birth. I bet lots of people are saying oh well as long as the baby is born etc and next time you can do the home birth but its still a disappointment.
I though I'd be early with this one and can't believe I'm booked in for an induction either! Was having strong bh for ages before anyone else and midwife was always saying she's a good size and ready to go etc. Turns out not true at all! She's determined to stay in there. I also don't want any intervention like assistance etc and I'm just hoping I don't have to give up on that - a full years recovery after an awful first birth very assisted and spd and episiotomy and all sorts of complications. Sigh.

Hello to everyone else though and please ignore my negative attitude I'm just being a grump ConfusedBlush

Evening all, just home from hospital, baby delivered on Weds!
Hope any of you still hanging on are surviving - the waiting is rubbish.

CaptainWarbeck · 30/06/2017 18:38

Oh lovely news, congrats creature. Hope it all went well.

Mustbeinsane1984 · 30/06/2017 22:58

Baby must is here! Arrived at hospital at 8pm and was born 21.37! Straight to labour ward as was 8cm. Was an absolute dream! I feel amazing! Smile

CaptainWarbeck · 01/07/2017 00:14

Wow must well done you! You must feel on top of the world. Congratulations Flowers

WizardLizard · 01/07/2017 01:12

Huge congrats must! Amazing news! Xx

user1497012351 · 01/07/2017 16:05

Congrats must! Dream birth too! Maybe the waiting was worth it to have the lovely birth :)

Congrats also creature! Give us more info how was the birth and how are you doing after the birth?

I have had the show today so that's good (sorry to be tmi but this was after a sex marathon) but nothing after that but do feel incredibly heavy in the nether regions and crampy.

Mustbeinsane1984 · 02/07/2017 08:44

Thank you all! No time for the Hypnobirthing or to think about an epidural! The breathing was extremely useful though! 2 pushes and baby was out! Baby settling well. Another night in hospital though. Feeding a little bit tricky but getting there. Missing my boy, can't wait to get home

Mustbeinsane1984 · 02/07/2017 08:45

Good luck user might not be far away at all!

Creatureofthenight · 02/07/2017 10:11

Ended up having cs after being induced, labouring for hours and getting nowhere! Am a bit of a shambles tbh but hopefully will start to improve soon. Hospital staff were all amazing at every stage.

user1496604328 · 02/07/2017 23:10

roseprincess any news yet?

TabbyTurmoil · 02/07/2017 23:41

Congratulations must and creature!

Baby Tabby born today (42 weeks) in a bizarre but mercifully quick induction of labour. She's perfect but too pooped to feed...

Good luck user if you're still pg, and everyone else waiting.

Mustbeinsane1984 · 03/07/2017 10:51

Oh creature hugs for you! I do hope your recovery is not too bad! Just think gorgeous baby thoughts! Congratulations!

Congrats Tabby! Glad the induction went smooth!

We are still in hospital 😢 I have a touch of PND and little one has a small op and scan tomorrow. All being well we go home tomorrow night. Slightly bored... milk is well and truely in and feeding well! Hurrah 🙂 Hope all you ladies are doing ok with your babies! User any news? Been thinking of you Flowers

LadyNymeriaGhost · 03/07/2017 18:16

Must just so you know, you're not alone with the PND. I'm suffering too, as I did last time. I've a thread in Chat about it, if you want to join me. Flowers

user1497012351 · 03/07/2017 18:19

Wow tabby congrats!!

Must sorry to hear you are still in hospital and hope the op was successful and the PhD eases off. I had it undiagnosed with dd1. Not fun at all.

I'm still pregnant! Had another sweep today and got a bishops score of 7 and an induction booked for Friday. For those of you induced, did you manage to avoid having an assisted birth? I'm really worried about this as with dd1 it was assisted and was one of the worst experiences of my life so I'm feeling very anxious.

LadyNymeriaGhost · 03/07/2017 18:38

User I was induced unassisted. I found my body seemed to remember what to do from last time.

Creatureofthenight · 03/07/2017 20:24

Yay for all the new babies, sympathies for those still going!
Feeling a lot better, and cute baby cuddles are a great painkiller!

Mustbeinsane1984 · 03/07/2017 20:34

Thank you user and Lady. Lady I'm seeing a psychologist tomorrow. I've never had it with DS but think it's coming off PTSD I had 10 years ago. Confused I hope you are coping ok with it lady. It's a difficult time. Still no op yet, I was hoping they would do it tonight to get it over with.

User hopefully not long now! I had drip induction with DS after waters broke and failed to progress. Unassisted delivery. Think positive thoughts Flowers

Sandandwaves766 · 03/07/2017 23:37

Sorry if I sound really dumb but how do you know if you have PND straight after giving birth? Iv always wondered this. Just so I know what to look out for.

LadyNymeriaGhost · 04/07/2017 08:33

For me, overwhelming panic over the slightest thing, insomnia even though exhausted, no appetite and, I'm sorry to say, the feeling that if given the chance I'd just give this baby back, that it's all been one giant mistake. I get it bad though. I did last time too.

Sandandwaves766 · 04/07/2017 11:41

LadyNymeriaGhost
Thank you. Iv always wondered how I would know. Thank you for sharing, I hope you feel better very soon Flowers

glitterglitters · 04/07/2017 14:40

I'm officially overdue now. 40+1

WahhhhhEnvy

user1497012351 · 05/07/2017 11:00

Lady thanks for the reassurance, as you can tell I've been freaking out a bit about it.

Glitter sorry you've gone overdue I feel your pain!

I've been having contractions yesterday evening at every 10 mins for 1 minute and then they stopped when I got onto bed. I have some dreamy recollection of having them in the night too and then I'm contracting this morning but literally every 12 mins and lasting 1 min. I'm taking this as a sign things may get established before Friday but I'm also worried I'm kind of bringing on these contractions (or making bh into something else) but hopefully not lol
