I'm 39+2 and eagerly awaiting the arrival of DC2.

Who else is analyzing ever little twinge and cramp??

DD was born 39+5. I was checked over yesterday due to a very tender, sore bump (everything fine) and baby wasn't yet engaged.

Are you all prepared??

Sleep that sounds great! Makes a huge difference! Our first DS was really content and was in a routine really quickly. Not sure if we will be so lucky this time round 😕

Captain, I hear you! I am really struggling. Beginning to think I won't have the energy to give birth! Feel like a have ran a half marathon this morning and everything aches.

Great you go a sweep. I have heard some work and some don't. They don't offer it here. I have a monitoring appt on Tuesday and dialation check so they will probably start talking about induction. They only let you go to 40+7 here. fingers crossed there are some more babies today!

CaptainWarbeck · 23/06/2017 07:58

Tbh must I was quite surprised they were so happy to do it when I asked! I had a Bishop's score of 3 which is not particularly high, but apparently my cervix was very soft which is a sign things have been starting to happen. I don't know.

DH has come home from work early (not in UK) with cake, chocolate and icecream so I'm feeling like there are some pleasures in life left Smile

Mustbeinsane1984 · 23/06/2017 11:07

Hopefully things will start to move along for you soon then, how exciting! Have you had any pains?

I've had my morning nap but it's 38 here today so not a great sleep. Currently sat on the sofa watching rubbish UK TVs and debating another nap after lunch.

Your husband sounds awesome! Just what the lady needs 🙂

Donostia · 23/06/2017 11:45

Still here, still pregnant. DS has chickenpox and MIL has flown in from England.

They don't offer sweeps here either must . I'm annoyed as they calculated my due date badly and have me 3 days later than I am, so they will let me go to 42+3 before they induce. 39+6 today and Baby is already looking like a 9lber Shock

Let's hope the full moon gets some of us going at least.

CaptainWarbeck · 23/06/2017 11:52

Solidarity to those still pregnant and waiting. 👊🏻

No pains but having a really weird bubbly grinding sensation on my cervix just now, goodness knows what baby is doing in there!!

How's it going with MIL staying donostia? Is she easy company?

user1497012351 · 23/06/2017 17:40

Hi everyone and yes fist bump to everyone still pregnant. And yes I include myself in that. No change at all. Been on that bitching ball all the bloody time and spend my days up and walking around, I've taken to compulsive shopping at the shopping centre to get me out and about. Maternity leave does have some benefits!

I am due a sweep Wednesday when I'll be 40+3.

Literally just don't feel like I'm ever going to go into labour. I've taken to also buying clothes for after the birth in the hope I can will the birth on.

user1497012351 · 23/06/2017 17:40

Bitching ball Grin

Mustbeinsane1984 · 23/06/2017 18:57

Grin Bitching ball! I've been on mine a bit today and hoping for a massively walk when the temperature goes down a bit later.

Donostia bless your son, can't be nice in the heat either! There scarlet fever going around my sons school so hoping he doesn't pick it up. Maybe the pains are baby turning low down or his/her hands tucked beside face or neck. I've been getting this too along with the almost popping waters sensation.

Nice your MIL has arrived it's always a big help. My DM was great when my DS arrived. This time round she can not make it over so just having to get on with it. If things get too tough then we must get get someone in to help. We have no family and few friends around and everyone works. I'm sure we will be fine though as long as don't need a CS.

Wishing all you ladies tonight's the night 😜

suffolknclose · 23/06/2017 22:49

I'm hoping tonight's the night. Had two false alarms of 3 hrs and 8 hrs of contractions that have faded to nothing. Got to 5cm and now resting at 4cm - had my 4th sweep today at 41+2 and can't fit me in to be induced until Wednesday. Hard not to feel like totally giving up!

Donostia · 24/06/2017 07:39

exciting! hope it is finally it for you! keep us posted.

Happy due date captain and me.

No bloody sign here.

Mustbeinsane1984 · 24/06/2017 08:08

Happy due date Donostia and Captain! How are you both today?

I've had a rubbish sleep and just awake. DH just brought breakfast in bed so he must feel sorry for me 😂
I'm off to the water park again today for a cool dip.

Suffolk how frustrating! I really hope it happens soon for you! The end is in sight! 🙂

Good luck ladies

CaptainWarbeck · 24/06/2017 09:05

Suffolk hope something's happening for you. You sound very close to labour!! Bet you won't need to wait to be induced on Wednesday.

Yay for due date donostia. CakeBrew

I've been a bit crampy and uncomfortable on and off today, but not in a contraction kind of way so I think it's just more preparation.

suffolknclose · 24/06/2017 12:43

Baby Suffolk arrived safely this morning. Thankfully the warm ups worked well and only 5hrs. She's sleeping and I'm exhausted!

WizardLizard · 24/06/2017 20:37

Congratulations suffolk! Glad it was quick in the end!

SleepForTheWeek · 24/06/2017 22:54

LadyNymeriaGhost · 25/06/2017 07:47

Congratulations, Suffolk! Look after yourself.

Mustbeinsane1984 · 25/06/2017 15:12

Due date today! BrewCake 40 weeks-the most pregnant I have ever been!

Been for a massive walk this morning and still nothing arrrgghh!

How are you ladies, still hanging on?

CaptainWarbeck · 26/06/2017 11:12

Baby Warbeck arrived on the 25th, early labour at home then made it to the hospital for a pretty quick 2hr birth. She's sleeping and feeding well and it feels soooo good not to be heavily pregnant any more!!

Hope everyone still waiting is hanging in there. Not long hopefully!

Donostia · 26/06/2017 12:28

Oh wow captain congratulations!!

But that's it. That means i'm
THE MOST PREGNANT PERSON ON EARTH and it's not fair!

mil is driving me up the wall! As is poxy toddler. Not their faults, they're not doing anything wrong

  • i just need space Blush
Creatureofthenight · 26/06/2017 12:30

I'm still pregnant too Donostia! 40+8 today, just been for 3rd sweep.
3rd time lucky I hope!

Donostia · 26/06/2017 12:40

Sorry creature you are more pregnant than me I shall hand complaining rights over!

Really hope the sweep works. I don't think they offer them here. I have a strong feeling that I'll get to 42+3 and be induced anyway so why can't they just induce me now! Envy

user1497012351 · 26/06/2017 13:19

Congrats Suffolk and captain! Easter Smile

I had a tiny bit of bleeding last night after arguing with dh and driving off in a rage for a late night macdonalds. But literally a smear. Phoned the midwife to report it she said could be a small blood vessel on cervix probs burst and means nothing.
So today I have felt super depressed.
I'm now bouncing away on the ball like a mad woman.

Sweep for Wednesday.

Anyone else feeling it's near?

Creatureofthenight · 26/06/2017 17:32

More than happy to share complaining rights!

LadyNymeriaGhost · 26/06/2017 18:18

Congratulations Captain! And sympathies to all of you who are still hanging on in there.
