I'm 39+2 and eagerly awaiting the arrival of DC2.

Who else is analyzing ever little twinge and cramp??

DD was born 39+5. I was checked over yesterday due to a very tender, sore bump (everything fine) and baby wasn't yet engaged.

Are you all prepared??

Thanks ladies. Hopefully have something to report tomorrow!

OhDearToby · 13/06/2017 20:46

Good luck wizard! I was induced with dd1 and it was all over and done with very quickly.

LadyNymeriaGhost · 14/06/2017 07:21

Good luck Wizard!

Mustbeinsane1984 · 14/06/2017 07:28

Any news this morning Wizard?

How are you ladies doing today?

Had a rubbish sleep and just turned on the tv to the awful news in London Sad Going to be a hormonal day!

OhDearToby · 14/06/2017 07:49

Horrible news isn't it. Those poor people. Puts everything in perspective.

Think I'll mainly be cuddling up with the dd's feeling lucky this morning.

SleepForTheWeek · 14/06/2017 08:44

Another tragedy in London - it's so harrowing Sad

Wizard i'm thinking of you and I hope everything is going/went well.

Today is the date my original dates gave me so i'm holding out for some action!! Back to soft play AGAIN with DD - she gets so bored in the house and I can't stand the whinging and moaning! God help me when this baby arrives...

OP posts:
NurseP · 14/06/2017 08:54

We are heading to soft play also Sleep! Hopefully tire my son out!

OhDearToby · 14/06/2017 09:31

You're all doing better than me! My grand plans for the day are going to the supermarket and taking my eldest to her gymnastics class after school. Might attempt the library with dd2 if she naps at the right time.

LadyNymeriaGhost · 14/06/2017 09:44

I've just dropped DD off at her first induction session before she starts school in Sept. Sobbed like a baby all the way home! I'm blaming the hormones.

SleepForTheWeek · 14/06/2017 12:08

Aw that must have been hard lady!. Hope she gets on OK.

We are back home and DD having her lunch -while watching all the tv- and then she has a craft class soon which her DGM usually takes her to but is unable to so that'll be me then!!

ohdear going to the supermarket with a child in tow is a mission even if you aren't heavily pregnant so even if that's all you achieve today then you've done well!!

OP posts:
Sundaygal · 14/06/2017 14:07

Good luck Wizard! Hoping to hear good news soon. As for activity, my big mission is picking up my DC from nursery Grin ... like I said, I'm just surviving these last few days!

OhDearToby · 14/06/2017 14:30

lady my eldest started school when I was pregnant with dd2. I'm really not a crier at all but even I had a few tears. Hard to believe now she runs in every morning without even looking back!

How is everyone feeling about leaving their dc to go and have the baby? I'm dreading it Sad dd2 is only just 17 months so I can't explain it or prepare her at all. I'll need to stay in for at least 2 days as I've tested positive for strep b so baby will need monitoring.

Mustbeinsane1984 · 14/06/2017 15:19

Aww lady hope you are ok. My son had his end of year assembly last week and that set me off. My boy is at the same nursery school for the next 2 years here as they don't start normal school until they are six.

Ohdear I am a little sad having to leave DS and hubby for that matter but he understands I think. I am really excited to see both my children together! Hubby is under strict instructions first visiting is him and my son. We will see everyone when we are home. I also got to stay in at least 2/3 days depending how things go this time round.

Sunday gal I am the same, school run is about enough for me these days too!

LadyNymeriaGhost · 14/06/2017 15:59

OhDear I'm lucky that I have fab in laws who will have DD. She's old enough for it not to phase her if she doesn't see me for a few days. I've got Strep too, but they've only said baby has to be monitored for 12 hours after. Though got to go in early enough for the anti biotics too, I suppose.

SleepForTheWeek · 14/06/2017 16:50

If i'm able to give birth here i'll be in and out within the day so hopefully DD will cope OK (although she is really clingy at mo). Not sure how she'll be if I have to travel to the big city to have the baby as I will likely be away a couple days at least and she's not used to being without us Sad

OP posts:
OhDearToby · 14/06/2017 16:55

My labours are always super fast lady so the chance of me getting the antibiotics is pretty much nil Sad last time dd2 had them instead.

My sister is really near by so she'll have my dd's. They'll be fine I'm sure, I'm just such a worrier. Dd2 is totally in love with her big sister so as long as they're together it should be okay.

WizardLizard · 14/06/2017 23:13

And he's here!!! So beautiful. And it was amazing. So different to the last induction. Felt in so much more control this time and it was much less painful.

Had a bit of gas and air for the transition stage and then was only pushing for 10 minutes.

Staying in overnight and then home tomorrow evening Smile

SleepForTheWeek · 14/06/2017 23:33

Congratulations wizard!! So happy for you, lovely news to hear before bed Smile. All the best

Congratulations Wizard!

Advice needed! Been up all night with pain and contractions. They're not progressing at all. This has been going on for over 2 weeks now and I am at the end of the road. I'm in pain all day and can barely look after myself, let alone DD. Has anyone asked to be induced? I see the consultant Friday and feel like I'm going to be on my knees begging. The last thing I want is to be induced but I don't feel like I can give anymore.

OhDearToby · 15/06/2017 07:25

Well done wizard! Lovely news and I'm glad it all went well for you. Enjoy your new baby!

Rose I've no experience of asking to be induced I'm afraid. I was with dd1 but that was due to low movements (also I was overdue). How far along are you? You can only ask and see what they say I guess.

RosePrincess87 · 15/06/2017 08:29

Toby I'm 38 weeks. I have to see the consultant Friday due to reduced movements. They're not actually reduced though. I'm in so much pain that I'm struggling to feel her and she's obviously running out of space so movements are smaller which makes them even harder to feel.
I can guarantee that if I ask they'll point blank refuse but 2 weeks ago they were desperate to induce me.

SleepForTheWeek · 15/06/2017 08:54

Sorry to hear you are in so much pain Rose Sad

I think they are reluctant to induce unless absolutely necessary - is this your first? They might be more willing to do it if it's not your first as less complications can arise

LadyNymeriaGhost · 15/06/2017 09:03

Congratulations ,Wizard, enjoy your new baby cuddles!
Sorry to hear you're in pain, Rose. Hope it gets sorted soon.

RosePrincess87 · 15/06/2017 09:17

No Sleep this is my 2nd (and last). I can't function. On the sofa crying, begging DH not to go to work.

I absolutely don't want to be induced but I could potentially have 4 more weeks of this and I don't know how much more I can take. Also worried about the affect this could be having on the baby.
