I'm 39+2 and eagerly awaiting the arrival of DC2.

Who else is analyzing ever little twinge and cramp??

DD was born 39+5. I was checked over yesterday due to a very tender, sore bump (everything fine) and baby wasn't yet engaged.

Are you all prepared??

Still nothing here, other than the odd not-so-painful twinge. Hoping something happens for us all over the weekend!

NurseP · 09/06/2017 15:17

36+5 today, which is the time I had my son a couple of years ago. Have to keep reminding myself that I may have another 5 weeks! 5 weeks! Argh! Am so uncomfortable! Just want baby to come now!

WizardLizard · 09/06/2017 16:26

@LadyNymeriaGhost I really hope that by Monday these babies have arrived.

Anyone got any decent replies to the constant 'any signs?' texts and calls? I don't want to offend anyone but it's betting incredibly wearing...

SleepForTheWeek · 09/06/2017 16:50

Wizard I just tel people that baby will come when ready and that I don't' mind if it's late which is a total lie

I'm 39+2 and having all sorts of pains, stabby, achy etc. I can't remember having them before and went into labour at 41+4 straight into full on contractions.

Please cheer me up and say this means I might not be waiting another 2 weeks? Beginning to struggle with them but no other signs except midwife suggested baby was 3/5ths engaged on Wednesday.

RosePrincess87 · 09/06/2017 18:58

Nurse I'm exactly the same had DD at 36+6 and now 37+2 so feel like a I've hit my 40 weeks. Everyone assured me that baby no 2 would be early too and it was essential I was closely monitored.

Mustbeinsane1984 · 09/06/2017 19:33

I'm 38 weeks on Sunday. My first DS arrived exactly 38 weeks. I woke this morning with menstrual and lower back pain. Was excited and scared that it was the beginning. Got up had breakfast and it all came to a halt 😢 Does your body temperature rise when your at the beginning of labour?

ewemum · 10/06/2017 12:03

Didn't wait long DD3 born yesterday at 00.03! Great timing with contractions starting just after the other two had gone to bed.

WizardLizard · 10/06/2017 12:06

Congratulations @ewemum ! Amazing news! Xx

glitterglitters · 10/06/2017 12:06

36+5 and ready for next week to be the week.

Unlikely though so focusing on getting through the next five weeks. Sob

LadyNymeriaGhost · 10/06/2017 15:56

Congratulations Ewe, may you be the first of many!

SleepForTheWeek · 10/06/2017 17:48

Congrats Ewe!! Hope you are both doing well x

Wow happy congratulations Ewe!

Mustbeinsane1984 · 10/06/2017 22:23

Congrats Ewe! Enjoy your squishy newborn cuddles! How is everyone else getting on?

I have had a slight pink bit of discharge but not significant enough for a 'show' but possibly a start. Every time baby moves feels like the waters could break. Does this indicate the end could be near? Leaking lots of colostrum and feeling too calm eeek! An arrival this weekend would be nice.

SleepForTheWeek · 11/06/2017 09:16

Still no signs for me unfortunately 😩. Today is my due date. I've had two shows since Wednesday so really thought things would have started by now!! Getting plenty of BH and mild occasional cramping but that's about it. Taking DD swimming this morning so might do a couple lengths to see if that helps!!

I'm feeling fine, and enjoying these days with DD, but just feels like a waiting game! X

Nothing here either. 40+6 now and staring to get a little frustrated! Half way round our long walk at the moment (stopped at the playground) and really hoping it kicks rings off this afternoon. Please send positive labour vibes!

LadyNymeriaGhost · 11/06/2017 14:29

Nothing for me either. 40+3. Consoling myself with the thought that they only let you get to 40+10 here, so max a week for me to wait.

mammaofjoelandunbornboy · 11/06/2017 17:04

Im 39 weeks and having loads of pain in pelvic area due to spd 😖 hoping this baby boy comes early but not holding out as ds1 was 15 days late and had to be induced! 😳 fed up now

SleepForTheWeek · 11/06/2017 17:19

I'm sending some labour inducing vibes to you all!! I was 2 days early with DD and was convinced I was going to go over so it's the total opposite this time!! Hoping for a quick delivery to make up for it...

RosePrincess87 · 11/06/2017 21:20

Congratulations Ewe! I'm extremely slightly jealous that your wait is over!

In absolute agony here! My bump and cervix feel bruised and every movement baby makes is so painful. Not sure how much more I can take Sad

LadyNymeriaGhost · 12/06/2017 14:13

I had a sweep this morning. My first ever one, as I didn't need anything with my last one!
I'm so, so uncomfortable now. Hoping it moves things along.
I hope everyone else is making progress!

SleepForTheWeek · 12/06/2017 15:26

Hopefully you'll start to see things happening now lady. I've got an appointment tomorrow so hoping they'll do a sweep for me. Are you dilated at all?

OP posts:
LadyNymeriaGhost · 12/06/2017 15:38

It says 1cm in my notes, which I guess doesn't mean much!
Good luck tomorrow!

SleepForTheWeek · 12/06/2017 16:30

Icm is better than nothing!!! I laboured for HOURS with DD and when i went to get checked i was only 1-2cm haha

OP posts:
WizardLizard · 12/06/2017 17:13

Had another sweep today. Still at 1cm. This is so frustrating!
