Hello,

I'm currently 5 weeks and 3 days pregnant and just wondering if there's anyone else in a similar time frame & wanting to share the highs and lows of the journey along with me Smile

It definitely looks like a mini bump! How far along are you? I'm definitely not showing yet (currently at 9 weeks) but have a ridiculous amount of bloating which is so uncomfortable...oh the glamour!

cakesandphotos · 25/06/2017 21:42

By my reckoning I'm about 6 weeks. I don't want to see the GP only to look foolish when he tells me it's wind! I might mention it to the midwife when I see her if I'm still tubby by then Grin

poppylou27 · 25/06/2017 21:50

I feel the same @cakesandphotos!!

Usually flat stomach is no more Sad and the bloat has totally taken over!

@poppylou27 you're very right, tummies will only grow from this point onwards! Best embrace it 😊

Hello, again, just found out, 4 weeks! Very exciting and nerve wracking. 1st pregnancy. It's complicated a bit by the fact I had booked a work trip/holiday to a country with zika at the end of this next month, which apparently is a big no no! So got to cancel that and a)miss my holiday b)let my work colleagues down and c) probably have to tell a load of people at only 7 weeks why I have cancelled my holiday, which I would rather not do. Is everyone constantly alert to the signs of miscarriage? Does this panic last the whole 1st trimester? And does anyone else feel the need to do another pregnancy test the whole time, just to 'check it's still there?!' a tiny cross on a stick is such a small thing to have as proof, especially as ive not really got any symptoms (slightly sore boobs).

cakesandphotos · 26/06/2017 09:25

Welcome @Letlozz! I have done 4 tests since I found out, mainly because I saw so many BFN that I get a real kick out of seeing that second line appear!
I don't have many symptoms either, just sore boobs and some bloating/constipation. The next 6 weeks can't go fast enough!

Susiebabs · 26/06/2017 10:17

Oh jeez, I'm 7.5 weeks and only just stopped doing about 4 tests a day. 😂

Natsku · 26/06/2017 10:21

I just did the one test, they're not exactly cheap where I live so couldn't justify doing more!

KittyKat73 · 26/06/2017 13:18

Hey ladies could i join!

been TTC for a year, irratic cycles AF disappeared for 3 months had to take provera and on friday I got my BFP!

today I think im about 4 weeks pregnant Smile only my DH knows and I have no idea what to do next! I know its very early days, but when should I book in with GP? I was thinking may around 6 weeks? also Im a nurse so will need to let my ward sister know and no idea when I should do that. after so long of seeing BFN I wasnt prepared for what to do when its BFP!

Natsku · 26/06/2017 16:21

Congrats on your BFP! Don't know when you're supposed to book in with GP in the UK, I live abroad and just called the midwife clinic as soon as I knew.

Getting really fed up with this sickness now. Went to the pharmacy today to get some vitamin B6 which is supposed to help but they didn't sell any that was just B6 so had to get a B-vit mix but so far so good as my dinner has stayed down so far.

Cazalex90 · 27/06/2017 11:45

Hi ladies!
Please can I join in here?
I'm 5wks + 4 today, total surprise pregnancy and my first. I'm feeling a bit daunted!

Natsku · 27/06/2017 19:08

Congrats!

Had my bloods done today, asked for my thyroid to be checked too and got the results by text message already (I love our lab system!) and looks like my thyroid is definitely underactive - no wonder I'm so exhausted

Susiebabs · 28/06/2017 09:12

Ricola sugar free lemon mint herb sweets seem to be helping my unrelenting nausea - thought I'd share the tip! I get them in the sweets aisle in the supermarket, next to the chewing gum and mints.

Natsku · 28/06/2017 09:19

Shall have a look if they sell them over here.

Natsku · 29/06/2017 19:25

Got Doxylamine and B6 from the doctor for the sickness, and he sent me to A&E for a drip because I was dehydrated. Fingers crossed the Doxylamine works, going to take it at bedtime tonight (added bonus that it should help me sleep) and hopefully tomorrow I'll be able to keep something down.

KittyKat73 · 04/07/2017 14:22

Natsku aww no hope your feeling better. I havent been too bad with the nausea it comes in waves. Took a Clearblue digital today and saw my plus 3 weeks Grin wee sesame seed in my belly x

poppylou27 · 04/07/2017 15:41

Moo09 · 04/07/2017 16:25

I feel extremely nauseous and i'm getting headaches unlike my first pregnancy. I feel like my symptoms are so strong this time and severe it's really upsetting me. I feel so weak compared to my first pregnancy. Should I consult my GP or is this normal? Is there anyone else feeling the same way?

SunnyCoco · 04/07/2017 17:13

Hi everyone
Just got my BFP today :)
My last pregnancy ended in miscarriage at 12 weeks... so don't feel I can get my hopes up yet
Fingers crossed x

poppylou27 · 04/07/2017 17:35

Congratulations @SunnyCoco and I can totally relate to the not getting your hopes up as I too had a MC in March! Fingers crossed for you!

@Moo09 they tend to say the harder the pregnancy the healthier the baby!! I am completely the opposite, and although you'll probably want to hit me for saying it, I wish I had some symptoms as it just doesn't feel real for me at all and stupidly think that if I had symptoms it would give me the sign that everything's ok! Just focus on that as you get a little further on you'll start to feel yourself again and the 'blossoming' period is on its way Smile
