Hello,

I'm currently 5 weeks and 3 days pregnant and just wondering if there's anyone else in a similar time frame & wanting to share the highs and lows of the journey along with me Smile

Hi all hope it's ok that I've joined! I'm 6+4 after having a miscarriage at 7+6 in December and I am very anxious and nervous. This pregnancy feels completely different feeling very nauseous pretty much all the time, only been sick once thank god and I'm completely exhausted! Anyone got any tips on how to combat this nausea? Is anyone having an early scan through the EPU? Thanks xx

poppylou27 · 06/06/2017 19:46

Hello @Nadines1987 and @321abc123

I've got mine tomorrow at EPU, I arranged it through doctor as knew I'd be worrying although didn't expect it to be this early, I had a MMC at 9 weeks but baby measured 7 with no he so was hoping for scan around the 8 week mark but can't complain about having one as they're not very accompanying with early scans where I am...

I'd imagine your midwife appointment will be between 8-9 weeks, it's just a booking appt where they'll ask loads of questions and take some blood work. I cried the whole way through my booking appt with worry and she still wouldn't refer me for a scan until I demanded it 5 days later to find the bad news.

Hopefully this one will be a more positive story although still dubious about what to expect tomorrow... my symptoms have definitely been less intense than last time which doesn't sound very good but I'm trying not to look too much into it!

I'm 7 plus 4 on my first baby after two months ttc - husband thrilled with himself obvs Hmm

Can't bear how slow it's going and want to tell everyone! But waiting til scan.

KimmySchmidt1 · 06/06/2017 20:54

I find lots of walks in the fresh air (was on hold from work last week) makes it go away plus snacking on plain carbs like crackers helps.

TriJo · 06/06/2017 20:58

4 weeks on #2 here. Exhausted but no time to rest as DS is only 14 months old and very attached to mummy!

Owl1011 · 06/06/2017 21:38

Hi there, can I join too? Had an early scan at EPU today as was concerned about ectopic but all in the right place thankfully. They put me at 6+1 and saw a heartbeat, my dates placed me at 6+6 but they didn't seem too worried about the difference. Second pregnancy (first ended in MC in January this year) so fingers crossed, having another scan week 9 for reassurance...it's going to be a long 3 weeks!

WineandDine · 06/06/2017 21:42

Congratulations ladies!
May I join? 5ish weeks pregnant #2, DS is 21 months.
Lots of cramps and sore boobs so far!

Nadines1987 · 06/06/2017 21:52

Thanks for the advice! Didn't have these symptoms last time around so bit of a shock to the system now! Have read that the symptoms are a sign of a healthy pregnancy so that's a bit of reassurance for me because I'm so anxious and worried something is going to happen again!x

Hello :)

6 weeks here. Sick as dog. Same as it was with my son who has just turned three. My last pregnancy ended in miscarriage at this exact point, so it's nice to be past that. But frak me, I don't know how to cope with this sickness again :(

PumbletonWakeshaft · 07/06/2017 09:50

Hello everyone, good luck to all of you having early scans. Just got my booking appointment for 3rd July when I'll be 9 weeks ish. Sorry to all those feeling sicky, I had horrible nausea with my last pregnancy, but at the moment I'm just so goddam hungry! Anyone else??

Natsku · 07/06/2017 10:03

Hungry and sick! But especially was hungry all the time the last two or so weeks.

zebrapig · 07/06/2017 10:23

Can I join in? I'm 5+2 and bricking it! Had a mc last year at 8 weeks and a MMC before I had my DD (she's 2) as well so I'm very nervous. Fingers crossed it all goes well this time. Got my booking in appointment on Saturday and planning to ask for an early scan as we had one with DD and it really helped.

poppylou27 · 07/06/2017 10:30

Just had early scan ...

I should be 5 weeks 5 days according to last period but I tracked ovulation and knew I was less, calculated at 5 weeks 2 days which when he did vaginal ultrasound he agreed with measurements of yolk sac as 5 weeks 2 day... however was unable to see a heartbeat due to it being too early, they've booked me in for 12 days time and hopefully will be able to see one then!

Staying hopeful!

Hi can i join in for support from the not-so-happy side?

Had scan yesterday at 6weeks+2.
Got results today and they're calling it 'a pregnancy of unknown location' right now as all that could be seen was a 'reaction' that could be a gestational sac in the uterus but would have to be very very early. And they cannpt rule out an ectopic pregnancy :(
But i dont see how it could be that early as my last period was definitely 23rd April and i was getting positive tests straightaway.

Had blood taken today to test hormone levels and get those back on friday. Have to have another scan in 2 weeks.

Preparing myself for the bad news tbh Sad
I was so happy when i found out too...

WineandDine · 07/06/2017 11:02

Return so sorry to hear this Flowers
Although sounds like they haven't ruled anything out just yet? Any chance you could've ovulated a bit later than normal? Will keep my fingers crossed for you.

poppy good news on the scan. Hopefully those 12 days will fly by.

Sorry to hear so many of us are feeling so worried. I'm really anxious and am constantly nipping to the loo to check things. Ended up in tears last night (stupid hormones!)
Trying to stay hopeful and positive and will console myself with some cake in the meantime Grin

Natsku · 07/06/2017 14:08

Oh no Return really hope its a case of ovulating late rather than the alternative, fingers crossed.

JellyBean89 · 07/06/2017 15:51

Hi guys can I join? 5wks 1 day, this is my 1st pregnancy. Constantly exhausted and nauseous. How long did you all have to wait for your booking appointment? My gp referred me last week and I'm still waiting to be sent an appointment, I know it probably won't be until 7 weeks at least, but should I call next week and ask?

JellyBean89 · 07/06/2017 15:52

@Return I'm so sorry! Really hope you just ovulated late xx

TLH0307 · 07/06/2017 17:01

Can I join? I'm 4 weeks preggers with my 1st, only got my BFP today...I have nobody to celebrate with because my fiancé is on a bloody stag do ha ha! Feeling a bit alone and nervous despite being really excited (and really, really, really tired...I'm sure you all know the feeling) Grin xx

maybebaby88 · 07/06/2017 17:49

poppy aw I'm sorry you didn't get to hear the heartbeat, but I guess it's still really early so I'm sure you'll hear it next time!
Return keeping everything crossed for you Flowers
Jellybean my first booking appointment was a 6 weeks so quite early. Maybe it just depends whereabouts you are. And ditto with the tiredness and nausea!
TLH congratulations! It is definitely nerve-wracking this whole pregnancy malarky! These boards have really helped me out though cos any problem I think I'm having other people have had too and there's loads of good advice

Susiebabs · 08/06/2017 17:53

Hi. I'm exactly 5 weeks today. I have absolutely no symptoms. Really none. I've googled whether this is OK and so many threads begin 'I'm terrified I have no symptoms whatsoever' and then go on to outline a bit of backache, some nausea, slightly sore boobs...!

Isn't early pregnancy a dark and lonely place when you're trapped in your own head with access to the internet!

Good vibes to all. 😀

poppylou27 · 08/06/2017 18:04

@Susiebabs welcome Smile to be honest I'm similar, my symptoms are very slight if at all but they do say everyone is completely different and in terms of the real symptoms (morning sickness etc) that on average it occurs around six weeks, I wouldn't worry too much and count yourself lucky for now hehe! If a couple of weeks pass and still nothing and you're concerned maybe contact your gp for some peace of mind.

Sore boobs for sure - my nipples are screaming

Susiebabs · 08/06/2017 18:58

Thanks @poppylou27. I had an early scan yesterday (I have to take blood thinning injections) and everything is looking as it should at this stage. I've suffered miscarriage in the past though, which heightens awareness to every little thing (or lack of!). I honestly can't wait for morning sickness to kick in, although obvs I'll deny saying that if I'm a mess in weeks to come!

poppylou27 · 08/06/2017 19:17

@Susiebabs you sound exactly the same as me, has an early scan yesterday too and have previously had a mc! Here's hoping for the morning sickness and then wishing we never had it hehe!!
