Hello,

I'm currently 5 weeks and 3 days pregnant and just wondering if there's anyone else in a similar time frame & wanting to share the highs and lows of the journey along with me Smile

Hi All, spent last night in A&E with strong pains/cramps in what felt like my right ovary and right hand side! Went to EPU and had an internal scan today (wasn't as bad as I thought it would be!) and everything was fine! Got to see our little one for the first time which was so exciting and reassuring and also found out I was 3 days further than what we thought!xx

Natsku · 15/06/2017 17:27

So sorry to hear that Roomar :(

poppylou27 · 15/06/2017 17:40

@QuirkyTiger you sound like Wonder Woman!!! Hope everything is okay for your hip and congratulation!!!

Such good news @Nadines1987 it's so reassuring to be able to see everything! Got my follow up scan on Monday so fingers crossed so tightly we are able to see our little one!

Long story short.. I got a scan on Monday at EPU. I thought I was 6+ but they said about 5 and a half weeks. Saw the babies heartbeat and they said all looked fine. I have been having mild cramping, very much like period pain. Been quite sick and the feeling of sickness doesn't seem to leave me. Just hope the cramps are normal.

Congrats to those who have recently found out!

poppylou27 · 15/06/2017 18:15

Sounds good @juliettetango always so nice to see baby's heart beating away xxxx

I'm so sorry Roomar! Thinking of you xx

Susiebabs · 16/06/2017 10:46

I'm so sorry @Roomar. Such a horrible thing. Hope you're ok.

Susiebabs · 16/06/2017 10:52

So I'm 5+6 and nausea has kicked in yesterday. I've not been sick, but feel like it's never far away.

One thing I have been experiencing is shortness of breath and a faster heartbeat. I suffer from hayfever so put the shortness of breath down to that, but it's getting worse - my breathing is heavier and louder most of the time. I'm fit and have a healthy BMI. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this, and is it ever cause for concern?

RhiBee29 · 17/06/2017 16:20

Im 5+3 is too early to tell our parents?

Mrstobe90 · 17/06/2017 22:08

Rhi I chose to tell my mum the second I found out but it's completely about personal preference! If you feel like it's what you want to do, go for it xx

cakesandphotos · 18/06/2017 06:16

Can I join? Three words I never thought I'd say after 17 months of disappointment! I think I'm about 4 weeks. What do I do now? Ring my GP? Never done this before! I suffer from rheumatoid arthritis so I think I'll go for a scan at the early pregnancy unit. I'm so excited to finally be here and at the same time, so nervous!

poppylou27 · 18/06/2017 08:17

@RhiBee29 I told mine as soon as we found out, and I did on my first pregnancy which ended in mc too - I was glad I told them as soon as possible because the support I received with the first pregnancy/mc was much needed. I took the angle of, I want to be able to tell them I'm pregnant and be happy than, not tell them and then if something happened, To have to say, well I was pregnant but not anymore. I know this is a morbid angle to look at it but I suppose it is the reason why we hold off telling people. It's complete personal preference but I'm really glad I told them early last time and this time.

@cakesandphotos congratulations!! I rang the GP to be able to be put forward for an early scan as the epu unit won't do it where I am unless you have docs referral but if you're not wanting an early scan than you ring the community midwives straight away and don't bother with the doctors, they'll book you in for a booking appt for when you're around 8/9weeks - they ask you loads of questions and take bloods but won't give you a scan until 12 weeks.

Congratulations to all xxx

I'm 8 weeks now and going to tell my parents today after I found out that OH already told his dad - I was waiting because I thought he wasn't ready to tell yet!

MummyGofboys · 18/06/2017 11:28

Hi ladies can I join you all. I am 4 weeks 2 days with my third baby 😊😊 how are yiu all?

RhiBee29 · 18/06/2017 21:32

Thanks @poppylou27, I spilled the beans to them today as we were all together for Fathers Day, they were all thrilled. MIL had 2 MC so completely understands my nervousness.

@Natsku my DH would wait til baby is crowning before telling anyone if he had a choice!

Welcome @MummyGofboys & congratulations!

poppylou27 · 18/06/2017 22:24

No problem @RhiBee29

And congratulations @MummyGofboys

Can I please join?! I'm 5+1 with my first pregnancy with very little symptoms other than a little bloating, slight occasional twinge and only slightly sorer boobs. It's a little daunting having to wait another approx 6 weeks to get first scan. I'm going to try and get my booking appointment booked tomorrow so I've got something to tick off the list!!

MummyGofboys · 19/06/2017 08:58

This is all Iv managed this morning. Struggling to eat and smells are making me feel so sick 😷😷

All my symptoms seem to have gone. I'm really scared something is wrong! My GP said miscarriage is common and as long as I'm having symptoms then it's a good sign. I'm so worried!

poppylou27 · 19/06/2017 16:27

@cakesandphotos have you tried ringing the epu or your gp? How far along are you and what symptoms were they? Xxx

OP posts:
cakesandphotos · 19/06/2017 17:52

It's mainly my stomach cramps. I'm still shattered and peeing. I'm probably worrying about nothing Smile

poppylou27 · 19/06/2017 18:23

@cakesandphotos mine have also disappeared, I think they come and go as your uterus is expanding! I think it'd all be noticeably different if there was any cause for concern Smile xxx
