Hello,

I'm currently 5 weeks and 3 days pregnant and just wondering if there's anyone else in a similar time frame & wanting to share the highs and lows of the journey along with me Smile

@poppylou27 thanks, that's reassuring to know Smile my boobs are killing again so I'm thrilled!!

poppylou27 · 19/06/2017 21:50

@cakesandphotos I know that feeling haha! When I wake up in the morning they feel horrendously sore! Someone at work hugged me when i go back from my scan earlier and i nearly screamed at her haha! So so sensitive and sore!

That's good news poppylou about the scan

My cramps disappeared about a week ago (8 weeks now) but sickness and tiredness have gotten worse.

Got the OB doctor this week (though most of pregnancy and labour are dealt with by midwives here there's still an OB 'in charge' and does some of the check ups) so going to ask about medication for the sickness for early next month when I've got a long car journey (9+ hours, going up to Lapland with my parents) and there's no way I'll be able to cope if I'm being sick all the time.

cakesandphotos · 20/06/2017 09:42

I wasn't sure my boobs were sore enough until the middle of the night. Lying on my back so my boobs did that dignified thing that movie boobs never do - settling themselves in the armpit area. I rolled over and they clapped together and oh my word the pain! I hope it gets better, I've not slept properly for a week and I'm not functioning well!

MummyGofboys · 21/06/2017 16:25

How is everyone feeling today? @cakesandphotos your last post made me giggle so much. I don't feel too bad today. This morning the nausea was bad but it's settled down, I am just so so tired xx

Natsku · 21/06/2017 17:17

So tired too and the nausea is getting worse. I've cut down to two days a week at work because I'm just too tired and shitty feeling.

This heat is horrible and only 9 weeks pregnant! Just had midwife appointment in the house and had to do a c02 meter and blew a 4 which means medium and had to ring an emergency number! Currently sat here waiting for the gas board to come out panicking slightly! Has this happened to anyone else!? I'm a non-smoker by the way!x

Natsku · 22/06/2017 14:52

Had my OB appointment today and it was ever so slightly awkward as my psychiatrist was there, re-training as an OB!

Had an unexpected scan which was nice, couldn't really see anything but there was a heartbeat there :)

poppylou27 · 22/06/2017 16:33

@Nadines1987 how did everything pan out?

Awww @Natsku that's lovely news

Gas board came out and capped the gas off! My boyfriends brother is a plumber who is gas registered and going to have a look at it tonight! He also lives with us at the moment and wasn't very happy that it was turned off as no hot water and said I was over reacting but I wasn't take the risk at all! Don't think I was being unreasonable or overreacting! Hopefully everything will be ok when he checks it later! Hope everyone is doing well!x

poppylou27 · 22/06/2017 17:14

You're not being unreasonable at all! I'd do the same!!! Xxx

Totally missed your post Nadine eek I'd definitely have the gas shut off in that situation! Not worth the risk. I went without hot water (unless I lit a fire in the boiler which gave about half an hour of hot water after an hour or two of fire- oil side of boiler conked out) for a couple of months recently, its manageable - quick cold showers and boil water in the kettle for washing up.

Natsku · 22/06/2017 17:29

Still only have hot water when we switch the oil on now which we only do for a hot shower every two or three days because we can't afford to fill the tank fully right now. Have gotten very used to cold showers!

Nadines1987 · 22/06/2017 18:34

A cold shower yesterday in the heat we have had was amazing anyway haha! Just done the c02 test in the house and all clear which is a relief!!x

Natsku · 22/06/2017 19:03

That's good

Natsku · 22/06/2017 19:03

I love having a cold shower after a hot sauna, absolute bliss, DD loves it too.

cakesandphotos · 22/06/2017 19:31

I'm glad we moved! In our old house the tank wouldn't physically heat up enough water to even half full a bath. I tried once with a kettle but it rather took the charm out for me. Not to mention I was once in the shower and I turned to see a massive spider hanging out on the shower curtain about an inch from my face. I didn't linger in the bathroom after that! that's actually why we moved

Natsku · 23/06/2017 14:19

Just found out that BIL's girlfriend is pregnant too so this baby will have a cousin the same age Grin

poppylou27 · 24/06/2017 08:53

Awww that's lovely @Natsku

Natsku · 24/06/2017 08:58

Hopefully, don't know his girlfriend at all despite seeing her all the time at FIL'S, she doesn't even say hi. Hopefully she's just shy but OH isn't keen on her and is worried how BIL will cope with a baby but I'm keeping hopeful that they'll manage ok and she'll be more friendly in time. Fingers crossed we can bond over pregnancy!

poppylou27 · 24/06/2017 09:34

Yeah it sounds like a great opportunity @Natsku

Does anyone else have a "bump"? I can't decide if it's just bloat or whether I'm possibly further along than I thought but there's something there! Hoping for wind rather than twins!!

Natsku · 25/06/2017 21:25

I have a 'bump' but I'm pretty sure its just excess belly flab I've been putting on in the last year! Look about four months pregnant though but the scan showed just one heartbeat so no twins, just fat Grin
