@dirtygrubbybikerchick we got a Baby Jogger City Mini GT. It is the top rates pushchair on Which? And was highly recommended to me by LOADS of friends.. it's waaay lighter than things like the icandy, great for different terrains and it folds really small! See pic!

One hand fold that is super easy and hardly weighs anything. Once in buggy mode you don't need to detach the seat to fold it which is super useful for getting in and out of the car etc.

Pushchair about £340 the deluxe carrycot was £199 which is pricey but we'll use it for naps downstairs too and it looks cosy.

I have the Mamas & Papas Armadillo Flip XT and I'm really happy with it so far (DS is 11 weeks old). I don't have much space in my hallway, so I wanted something I could fold up with the seat still attached, that would be freestanding when folded. You can fold it up whether the seat is forward or parent facing, and it's pretty compact. I mainly use it around town and it's pretty light and easy to manoeuvre around shops etc, but it also copes fine with gentle walks (paths and a bit of grass). The carrycot is quite small and my DS won't fit in it for too much longer (he's huge!) but we've used it for downstairs naps (we don't have a Moses basket) so it's still been useful. We also got a compatible car seat (the Aton Q, I think it's called) which is excellent quality.

We got a good deal on it, a bundle from Mothercare including the pushchair and carrycot for £499 if I remember rightly. Mamas & Papas also sell reconditioned pushchairs, including "as new", at reduced prices.

We also looked at the Uppababy Cruz, which was a close second - we were impressed with the quality and how easy it was to fold/unfold. You can't fold it with the seat parent-facing, though, unlike the Armadillo Flip XT. And it's more expensive.

We looked at a few iCandys as well - the Raspberry and Strawberry. I wasn't so impressed with the quality, which is surprising given the price - they don't seem to be great value.

We didn't even look at any Bugaboos because none of them are freestanding when folded, but they seem insanely overpriced to me!

Uppababy vista narrowly beat the peach for us. It's more user friendly imo, but it is wide, I feel guilty for how much space I take up with it Sad

I think the Uppababy Cruz is a smaller and niftier version of the Vista Wink

3rd baby here too, after saying we would make do with our old battered BJ city select I fell in love with the armadillo's. After looking to find some 2nd hand online, I wanted to see/play with one in the flesh. I adore the armadillo flipp xt2, but was just window shopping until I found a great deal online with an 8piece bundle that included the car seat & base we need so we got it. Very excited
