I hope everyone suffering from the Horrors of Hyperemesis will find this thread useful as a source of support and information.
There's no TMI on here - can't be by definition - and nobody should feel ashamed of moaning as much as they feel the need to.

MOH's wonderful website is full of useful information on this illness:
sites.google.com/site/pregnancysicknesssos
Another invaluable website is:
www.pregnancysicknesssupport.org.uk

If you need help in obtaining medication, this phone number is
brilliant:
024 7638 2020

Lastly, the NICE guidelines on treatment are useful:
cks.nice.org.uk/nauseavomiting-in-pregnancy#!scenario

I would like to thank everyone who has given such invaluable support and advice on this and on previous threads.

Remember when you are at your worst, 'This Too Shall Pass'. It really will.
So many women on this thread have thought they couldn't get through this, but they did.

Oh and I solved my constipation! 6 sachets of movicol a day, 2 doses of lactulose and a diet high in fruit and orange juice is helping plus as much water as I can manage (too much causes my stomach to start churning)

pippanippa · 16/06/2017 11:21

Oh Cant, I'm sorry to hear all of that, hope the weekend is kinder to you, and glad the constipation problem is at least ok!

Just wanted to say thank you all for cheering me up. You're right, next time I will just go straight in and stop faffing around with calling / visiting GP (I won't be going back to that one!). Today is much brighter, I have only been sick twice so have kept some food down and some sports drink. Ketones properly back to 0 now and still feel rubbish, but normal rubbish if that makes sense and so much less weak. Spending the day in bed, catching up on sleep and hoping that the rest will help keep me back on track. Thanks again, I love this thread, helps keep me trudging on Smile

Sorry, but what is chorionic haematoma? 😱😞

I officially only have two weeks left to work. It's official.

New thread, everyone - roll of drums -

Can'tDoThisAgain Sorry about bleeding; that' s unnerving. I have known women bleed on and off throughout, without ill effects. Like OnNature'sCourse I don't know what that illness is? Is it a tendency to bleed from the cervix?
OnNature'sCourse I am glad you only have to work two weeks more - but does that mean the b's made you redundant?
