Does anyone want to come and play here? There's loads of space!

Same here. Even bending down is getting tricky but fortunately I give myself lots of practice by constantly dropping things.
Have the Toots pattern of up and down-ness. Weekend was tricky but feeling better today, so at least there is that.
A friend has lent me a sling - I tried to demonstrate its use to dp using cuddly dog and couldn't remember how to use it - how rubbish did I feel?!!!

Am very dubious about the due date being days away instead of the monthss/weeks I am used to!! Best go and clean something I think.....

Morning Mooses
had a bit of a stressful w/e with MIL in town, she really didn't do much around the house and given the fact that I am not up to much, I was surprised, as was DH when she would get up from table after us cooking meals every day and not bother to put dishes in dishwasher!! That is the one thing I find quite hard with my back is loading and unloading the dishwasher. If I am honest I don't really want her around when DB arrives as it will honestly be more work. How on earth can I say this to DH without it offending him?

As a gentle reminder, below are the dd's Bean collected a while back, I am sure there are loads missing. I can't believe it's so soon for some of you!! I on the other hand still have a flippin FOUR weeks and am FED UP!! am off to GP this afternoon and will find out about scan etc. I'm having lots of very vivid dreams about labour and it's really starting to scare me. Hips and back still ache every single night and am exhausted from lack of sleep, moan moan!!

DH took kids to his mothers yestaday afternoon so I had the whole afternoon to get to grips with ocado - so today I don't have to do anything except sit here and wait for it to be delivered! Shame I can't be as organised about things like cots and car seats which are still lurking in the loft.
I can't believe omnly Allyco has produced so far surely one of the meece is going to be early?

beansprout · 27/09/2004 13:13

Turtle - you have my sympathy re MIL. Perhaps you could talk to DH but put a postive spin on it - e,g, "what I would REALLY like would be for you and me...." etc and start it from there rather than a rejection of MIL? Difficult though - good luck with the scan too.

Anyone who is not on the list or who has a change of date please let us know and I'll update the list.

We have one of those fridge doors plastered in magnetic words. This morning I have taken them all off, cleaned each and every one and put them back IN ALPHABETICAL ORDER!! I think I am ready to have this baby!!!!

Hello all - I keep getting strong twinges but am sure I will still be here in a couple of weeks. Midwife coming on Thursday and she said she could have a look to see if anything is happening - logically keep saying two boys were v. late and so will this little fella but on the other hand so want to meet him and hold him. Feeling very emotional as well and trying to spend quality time with 2 boys before the big day.

Turtle35 - now is not a time to be suttle. You need to have a peaceful, happy environment for welcoming db so I would do what suits you. It's the one time nobody will dare disagree.

Who will be the first?

Turtle35 · 27/09/2004 14:03

Oh Dear Bean - alphabetical...now that's impressive. I have been scanning house for things to clean/organise, have noticed our fan in bathroom hasn't worked since we moved in and I think I shall try and fix it this afternoon, only thing is step ladder scares me a little.

I didn't think my tummy could stretch any further but it definitely did over the weekend and I am sure DB had dropped.

Will tell all in a couple of hours when I get back from GP. Wish me luck....

Eyelash - surely it must be you??? Otherwise I might put my money on Toots.

Turtle35 · 27/09/2004 14:05

I have changed my mind..... Geoteach did your previous two come on time?

Turtle35 · 27/09/2004 14:07

One last thing, I have read as much as I possibly can on labour and birth but I still find it so bloody hard to believe that the huge bump inside my tummy is gonna come out of a not very big space, I know I know it will stretch but it still seems really hard to believe at times.

eyelash · 27/09/2004 14:09

Turtle35 - good luck at the doctors - yes they do come out somehow!

And I would be very surprised if it was me first so it will be interesting.

Turtle35 · 27/09/2004 16:01

all normal with GP, measuring just over 2cm for size so decided not to send me for a scan, GP thinks I am having "an 8 pounder"

With all tests coming back normal, why do I feel so depressed now? The thoughts of going through this for another month is driving me crazy. However I really didn't want to be induced but the idea of knowing when DB is going to arrive would be such a relief.

I am so envious of those who are due next week

florenceuk · 27/09/2004 19:01

Good news Turtle. Now you just have to deal with your MIL. Are you sure she really wants to come and stay after the birth? Bean, have you seen your midwife yet to check position?

Well, I certainly hope DB does not take after her brother and come 10 days late - was hopeful that my BH contractions today might be turning into real ones. I haven't even packed my bag though.

geogteach · 27/09/2004 19:43

No definatelt not on time here, one plus 8 other plus 12 so I doubt i'll win any prizes, no bag packed here either.

beansprout · 27/09/2004 22:38

Midwife hasn't checked position, they have just said to keep up the exercises. Am seeing Dr Knowlittle in the morning though so may (or may not) know more then. Bag is sort of packed and am runnnig out of things to clean.
Turtle - am right with you on the improbability of it all which usually registers in my Bean brain as "my god, this is gonna hurt!"

Dp is currently in bed and very, very unwell so we are sort of hoping for nothing to happen just yet.

OP posts:
Bibiboo · 28/09/2004 10:31

Bean if you're out of things to clean, there's my whole house needing a bit of a spruce up if you're interested...?
My "nesting" instinct has died out along with my energy and will power to do anything other than lay on the sofa.

beansprout · 28/09/2004 10:59

Bibi - don't worry or give yourself a hard time. I felt exactly the same when I stopped work. I think my body was just saying "oh thank God woman, finally I get a rest!!" I actually felt really ill when I stopped. Please just pay heed and have a well deserved rest.

I would pop down the M4 of course, but may need to get back quickly (unless you can get me booked into Singleton Hospital or something?!)

Right, off to docs now for Bean update.

Turtle35 · 28/09/2004 15:18

Bean good luck, let us know.

I just put my head down for 15 minutes and woke up 2 hours later!!! How did that happen? had great intentions to go swimming and now feel wiped out.

My insomnia is getting worse as the days go by. Had terrible dream about umbilical cord wrapped around DB's neck, also DB is getting really strong Hiccups and it worries me cause I am thinking she is frantic and distressed. Why do I suddenly feel so worried?

huppa · 28/09/2004 18:47

Hi everyone - hope you´re all o.k.
Bean - I hope the baby has turned and that your dp is feeling better soon.

Bibi - agree with bean that it is probably your body´s way of saying you need to rest.

Turtle - my dd also had really bad hiccups when I was pregnant and they continued for a couple of months afterwards. My midwife said this was perfectly normal, so try not to worry.

Florence - I also thought my Braxton Hicks might be turning into the real thing on Sunday. Having spent the previous week thinking I wanted the baby out as quickly as possible I soon changed my mind and decided I could wait a bit. Mind you it did give me the push I needed to finally pack my bag.

beansprout · 28/09/2004 20:51

Bean's head is now fully engaged but Dr Pants "can't tell" what way round (s)he is so another week of all fours for me, just in case.

Turtle - entirely understandable if we are anxious at this stage. I go the whole hog and convince myself I will die in childbirth (FFS!). I read early on that "the 3rd trimester is characterised by anxiety"... damn right!!

My computer isn't managing the size of this thread - would it be ok if I started another one for us?

Toots · 28/09/2004 20:52

Evening all.

I second everything Huppa says.

But I haven't packed a bag yet.

It is October at the end of this week. I'm sorry, but it needed saying.

Is it just me, or is anyone else sighing all the time, like things aren't quite right or good enough?

motherinferior · 28/09/2004 21:09

Hello my lovely meeces, thinking lots of positive baby-exiting vibes in your directions. xxxxxxx
