Congratulations Legendofbeans on a great scan!

Thingymaboob · 24/05/2017 21:32

Hi all, been reading this thread a bit. I am trying to stay positive! I had a mc in October. I am now 7 weeks pregnant and had a reassurance scan last week which saw a small human bean with heart beat. Today I have been having brown spotting. I am freaked as brown spotting was what happened last time. I am further along this time and last time my uterus was empty so it's a bit different. Help! Losing my mind! Xxx

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 24/05/2017 22:50

Hi @Thingymaboob I had brown spotting and strange clotting this time around at 8ish weeks (and was freaked out too) and I'm now 12+4 having just had a great scan. Think it's fairly common but if you're worried is there an early pregnancy unit near you you can go to for a check and scan?

grainmum · 25/05/2017 06:07

Great news legend. Sorry you are having a worrying time thingy. Hoping that all is ok for you but the uncertainty is a killer. I remember wishing that my body would just behave in keeping with what's actually happening- if it's going to be over then let it be over, but if it's going to be ok then spare me the worrying symptoms!

NoParticularPattern · 25/05/2017 07:59

Tentatively signing in here Confused

Had a miscarriage at 9/10 weeks (although blighted ovum so not really 9/10 weeks!) back in July, have been waiting to TTC until just before our wedding this July. This month was our first month trying again. Tested last night for absolutely no reason at all other than the fact that I felt like I should. Nearly passed out when it turned positive. Going by LMP as I didn't track ovulation I'm 4+2.

I'm a lot calmer than I thought I would be, but I'm still absolutely bricking it. It would be quite nice to get through the next 8 weeks without any drama!!

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 25/05/2017 08:28

Congratulations @NoParticularPattern! 😄 You must be so excited!

knorrig · 25/05/2017 10:33

Catching up with the thread as not been on here in ages!

So sorry for your loss stealth

Congrats on all the good scans.

Now 35+5 which feel quite unbelievable plus scary and exciting at the same time!

Thingymaboob · 25/05/2017 16:46

My scan showed normal growth (7 weeks now) and a heartbeat again. So relieved after bleeding brown this week.

peachgreen · 25/05/2017 17:07

Thingy I'm so pleased, congratulations xx

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 25/05/2017 18:13

Yay, amazing news @Thingymaboob 😄

grainmum · 25/05/2017 18:56

Ooh knorrig that's so exciting. Congrats thingy enjoy your good news and pregnancy reassurance xx

Sweetyboo · 25/05/2017 20:50

Stay strong @Thingymaboob there are few ladies who said they had spoting even bleeding & they still going strong. I had mc in dec & im 8weeks today worried myself as my last mc was at no heartbeat at 8weeks got scan next wed but im keeping happy & positive i hope there is a good healthy baby in there. All prayers needed for wed.

Thingymaboob · 26/05/2017 00:03

Thanks everyone. It's so nice to have such supportive group here. My friend got pregnant accidentally, didn't even realise she was pregnant until she was 10 weeks, she smoked and drank all the way through her pregnancy, didn't read any advice and her child is perfect apart from being a little shit. She's like "stop worrying, if you worry too much you'll have another miscarriage". Anyone else hate it when people judge your stress levels, like it's going to bring on a another mc?!

Miami81 · 26/05/2017 07:56

Does anyone on here have a funny shaped uterus? Mine is apparently bicornuate (heartshaped) and I would really like to hear some positive stories of ladies making it all the way or at least past 20 weeks (I have read all kinds of horror stories) Have been freaking myself out with googling.

AmyB1986 · 26/05/2017 08:15

@Miami81 I have a basset shaped uterus and had no problems with my successful pregnancies apart from both being breech and a little small at 6 1/2 lbs each. I never knew anything about mine until my second csection.

@Thingymaboob it annoys me, stress and mc aren't linked at all either! One of my friends has 3 kids, smoked and drank all the way through all of hers too. Her kids are also perfect anatomy wise!

19+1 now, the weeks are flying by and I've been feeling my baby girl moving a lot more now too. More so when I get into bed. Still worrying a lot though, I don't think that will ever go away

AmyB1986 · 26/05/2017 08:15

That was supposed to say heart not basset bloody phone

Miami81 · 26/05/2017 08:27

Thanks @AmyB1986 that's great. My bean is right up in the right horn of my uterus and apparently the left side has decided to crack on as normal. At reflexology last night she told me that my left ovary is awake and that I am only showing pregnant on my right side. I just hope this one has enough room and that the placenta has attached to a good bit. The mw has referred me to the preterm clinic, but she was really nice about it and was like, well just think of it as a twin pregnancy, if it was twins your uterus would have enough room for it, so the fact that it will all be stuck in one side should be fine!! I will step away from google now I promise.

Miami81 · 26/05/2017 08:28

Amy that's fab on the movements as well. It must be reassuring. Almost halfway for you, do you have a scan coming up?

AmyB1986 · 26/05/2017 08:43

@Miami81 I have my 20 week scan next thursday! This baby is on the left side of mine, I have a fundal placenta so right up at the top too. I was never referred anywhere because of my womb but I am consultant led with my pregnancies. They have associated my losses apart from the first with lack of blood supply to the implantation area, mc's have all implanted on the ridge of my uterus which has little to no blood supply. I notice I get a lot of tightenings from 15 weeks on but that's normal given how many times I've been pregnant according to my midwife.
How many weeks are you now?

Miami81 · 26/05/2017 09:26

@AmyB1986 I am 9.5 weeks now. I think at some point in the future I will ask for the records of where my two miscarriages implanted. They both failed at almost the same time (6ish but not picked up til later) so I do feel that whatever happened to them it was the same if that makes sense. I am looking forward to being able to ask a consultant questions about it. I think I just have to believe that this one has implanted well. We may have a scan at 11 weeks as our NHS one isn't til 13 and I don't know that I can wait that long to see it again.

AmyB1986 · 26/05/2017 10:53

@Miami81 we had a private scan at 10+5 and an early nhs scan at 7+3 to check the growth and position.
My mc's happened at random times, one I didn't know how far I was as I didn't have a period for 6 months previous to the mc and during the bleeding I found out I was pregnant. When I went for the scan there was just a small part of the placenta left in there which was attached way too low down and on the right side which is where the ridge is. With the second I was 10+3 when the baby stopped growing and they found it was half on the ridge and half off right down low and on my csection scar also on the right side. They said that's probably why the pregnancy continued to progress up to that stage. Dd1's twin passed at 8 weeks also implanted on the right side on the ridge which left behind a sc hem.
Dd's were both implanted on the left and at the top, same with this lo.
Just sheer bad luck. All were tested and no abnormalities were found in the chromosomes.
They said to me 90% of the time baby will be in the right place and the risk are still exactly the same as a person who has abnormal shaped uterus so don't panic 😁

Miami81 · 26/05/2017 13:33

Thanks @AmyB1986 it's great to find someone who has been through it if that makes sense. They don't seem to be able to identify a ridge on mine, but I am assuming up in the extremes as far away from the mid section for implantation is about as good as it gets. We will just have to wait and see.
Sorry you have been through the mill with it all.

Badgerbird · 26/05/2017 14:02

Hello Lovelies, I haven't been on here in months and just wanted to check in after this thread was such a support to me in the early days/weeks.

It's my due date today and I'm celebrating getting this far. After 2 MMC's and being 40 this Oct I'm feeling very lucky. Of course we still have the birth to go through but I'm feeling confident.

I just wanted to say hang on in there. It's such a roller coaster journey and every milestone should be celebrated. Today we are pregnant Smile

Are newshoes and fuzzywuzzy still on here? Or maybe they've had their babies :)

Good luck everyone xx

JCleRoux · 26/05/2017 14:23

Hi everyone. Can I please join?

I have one DS (nearly 6) and since him I've had two ectopic pregnancies, two MC and one MMC.

I'm now 10+5 and feel a mixture of anxiety and nerves every single day. I've had two scans so far at 7+2 and 9+2 for reassurance. Waiting for my 12 week scan and booking appointment in the first week of June and I feel like I can't relax until I've had them.

I go the toilet everyday expecting to see blood. It is a stressful time but I'm lucky to have a supportive DH and regular counselling.

Thanks all

Thingymaboob · 26/05/2017 14:49

@JCleRoux gosh, it sounds like you've really been through the mill! I take it your scans went well. Knicker watching is awful, isn't it? I am doing the same, good luck with everything x
