It's just the action lol! I have to coach myself 'you're ok, you're fine' then bleugh.
I can't suck in either Smile

lydiangel83 · 20/04/2017 10:23

@NiceCuppa why would you avoid Mr Whippy?!

I've been drinking loads of camomile tea and just read it isn't good for you! So hard to keep track of it all?!

NiceCuppaTeaAndASitDown · 20/04/2017 10:54

It's fine from McDonald's and places like that, but there are really dodgy hygiene standards in most vans around here and I'm sure I've read that you should avoid if you're not confident the machine is cleaned every 24 hours!

I'll happily have one if I'm not worried about the cleaning standards

MSH2010 · 20/04/2017 12:15

I think my GP is over cautious as he had to deal with me after a major accident in September 2014 (not my horse's fault)
I can understand where they are coming from but as the pregnancy was a surprise I was competing every weekend in the early weeks before I found out. Missing it already but I know it's best to be sensible.

sophr2017 · 20/04/2017 16:10

Eugh feeling annoyed and disappointed ladies Sad I've just had my second midwife app (am 15+2 weeks) and I thought we'd get to hear babies heartbeat as friends have in their appointments but she wouldn't do it and said they don't do that as a rule at any appointment, so I don't get that fun and reassuring feeling of hearing it! Going to see if they will do it at private scan but still annoying!

Also my carbon monoxide levels were higher than last time even though I've smoked way less so have been referred to smoking cessation midwife, an so frustrated at myself for not just stopping but it's so hard!!

Sorry whinge over!!

pennysays · 20/04/2017 16:16

You can buy your own doppler, I had the Angel sounds one, and they'll be cheaper on eBay. So you can listen whenever you want! Just make sure you have the right heart beat, I listened to my own heartbeat for a month before I figured out it was wrong!

sophr2017 · 20/04/2017 16:46

I've heard not to buy your own though as you aren't a trained medical profession and will panic when you can't find it which they expect. I was trying to stay away from buying one as assumed it would be checked at some point!

Moo31 · 20/04/2017 17:15

@Squiggle I struggle to brush my teeth as well!

TMI but has anyone else had the runs? I have had them yesterday and today. Went at least 10 times yesterday and probably on 5 so far today so less but still not pleasant! I am 10+6.

I am tempted to buy a Doppler ... I think I might. Apparently there are you tube tutorials on how to use them to make sure you are doing it right.

ew1990 · 20/04/2017 17:24

@sophr2017 I feel you with the smoking, I was doing so well 3 days with no cig then I had one, 😢 xx

tmc14 · 20/04/2017 17:30

Moo - TMI too but did the last 5 weeks (in 9+6) I'll alternated between constipation for 5-6 days the diarrhoea for 1-2 days. My guts feel awful all the time!! No advice, but you have my sympathy!

mrsjkerry · 20/04/2017 17:32

Omg. I weighed myself. I have gained 8KG in 5 weeks. This is a joke!! I can't keep gaining like this but feel so sick I can't stop eating the carbs!!!! Anyone else?

OP posts:
FeedMyFaceWithBattenberg · 20/04/2017 17:46

@mrsjkerry yep I feel you... and I have a wedding dress to get into 😬😬

Squigglefish · 20/04/2017 18:18

@MrsJKerry I know I have but haven't weighed myself yet. Don't forget you've got a little baby in there, placenta, larger uterus, fluid and your blood volume has increased. The carbs will be holding onto water too. Hopefully your sickness will pass soon and you can get back to normal eating habits. I totally sympathise. I had 2 people say I looked pregnant today (they know) but I found it hard to believe when baby is the size of a sprout but by tummy is definitely round.

Squigglefish · 20/04/2017 18:20

@feedmyfacewithbattenberg oh lord! Now that's pressure.

Moo31 · 20/04/2017 19:50

Thank you @tmc! I've been constipated the past few weeks. Hopefully I'll be back to being constipated tomorrow! Never thought I would ever say that haha!

Frillyhorseyknickers · 20/04/2017 19:57

@MSH2010 I stopped eventing at 15weeks but I'm still riding two of my older geldings every day - just subbed the youngsters out!

ew1990 · 20/04/2017 20:48

Anyone else getting really bad spots? I've never had spots I always got one when monthly was due but lately my chin and my cheek are full of them xx

MSH2010 · 20/04/2017 21:16

Uh oh my bump got noticed for the first time today by someone at work. I'm not going mad afterall as I've felt I've been showing for 2 weeks. Felt a bit odd but strangely exciting at the same time

Don't think it's bad 15+5 with twins and only just showing to others

Jessiecat27 · 20/04/2017 21:18

@nicecuppa well I'm gutted to hear about Mr whippy! Sad
@soph and @ew its hard isn't it! I feel so guilty when I do Blush and I'm getting spots too, never do normally. The joys of hormones!

sophr2017 · 20/04/2017 21:19

I caved and sent DH to buy me a Doppler this evening, and have heard the babies heartbeat so strong it's amazing!! Now to try not to become obsessed with it and panic if I can't hear anything!!

ew1990 · 20/04/2017 21:23

I darent buy one, apparently it's very rare you hear the heartbeat it's blood running through your veins that you normally pick up and it's mistaken for heartbeat, I'd be rubbish at using it lol xxx

sophr2017 · 20/04/2017 21:31

If you google the reviews for the angelsounds one there is a really good success rate from as early as 12 weeks. Is confusing between your heartbeat and babies until you hear babies then it was obvious as it's like horses cantering, it's so quick!

I swore I wouldn't buy one but then when I found out today that the midwife doesn't listen for heartbeat at any point, only goes by movements, I knew I needed one as I can't cope with not hearing it throughout whole pregnancy!

lydiangel83 · 20/04/2017 21:39

@mrsjkerry I feel for you I've put on a few kilos already and am only 8+3. Miss doing exercise and have eaten nothing but cheese carbs and chocolate for days! @MSH2010 you must be very neat to not be noticed before now - how have you managed it?!

I got a baby on board badge this morning after an awful travel day yesterday. I'll only get it out when I need it though until I'm a bit bigger!

ew1990 · 20/04/2017 21:52

Ooh at @sophr2017 I might have to buy one in the next few weeks, but my midwife wants me to make an appointment with her when I'm 16+ so she can find heartbeat, different areas must be different xx

sophr2017 · 20/04/2017 21:56

They are Ew, a friend of mine lives 10 mins away but is a different NHS trust and she heard heartbeat at 16 weeks, that's why I thought I would! I don't think I would have bothered if the mid wife was checking!
