@Victoriaaaaaaaa dooooo it

@mrsjkerry that's lovely is it a cossato one? Is it possible to turn the seat round to face you? A lot have the capability to I think. There's some really lovely cossato prints but I had my heart set on the one I wanted. About the only purchase I've been completely set on and decisive about haha.

QuestionARhino · 29/05/2017 12:33

@mrsjkerry ah look you can!

I'd prefer facing me for as long as possible til they're bored of my face haha. I think I'd miss being able to look down at them whenever I wanted to and would constantly want to keep peering round to check! I also can't imagine wanting to move on from the carrycot to the seat ever Blush

Quick question, everything I read says being tired is normal but I am EXHAUSTED. My legs feel like jelly and I just want to lay down and sleep? Is this normal? I'm only about 3-4 weeks and I thought it was too early.

Victoriaaaaaaaa · 29/05/2017 13:08

@JellyBean89 I was like that at 3-4 weeks! It was awful it does get better. I am tired still but nowhere near as much as I was. I was falling asleep on my desk at work!

Monkeypuzzle32 · 29/05/2017 15:46

jellybean its normal, like being drugged! Im still knackered too at 10w3

ew1990 · 29/05/2017 15:53

We saw some gorgeous nursery furniture in ikea we called in today and the chest of drawers/changing table had a display model that was reduced from £140 to £78, we had to get it xxx

Victoriaaaaaaaa · 29/05/2017 16:28

Girls is it ok if my hubby fries mince with onions together? I normally fry mince and then add onions but he didn't 😩

QuestionARhino · 29/05/2017 16:31

@Victoriaaaaaaaa yeah that's fine, what concerns you about it? We normally fry the mince first bc we cook it right down so it takes a while but it's fine Smile

Victoriaaaaaaaa · 29/05/2017 16:33

@QuestionARhino just like food poisoning haha but I guess even though it's raw mince it all gets cooked together with the heat lol. I guess it's because it's not the way I usually do it lol :) need to stop worrying and overthinking again lol

ValentineFizz · 29/05/2017 16:34

@Jellybean89 I was exactly the same, still am now at 16+4!! Everyone says it passes after 1st trimester, has not been the case for me although midwife says it might pass at around 20 weeks so I'm still hopeful Confused BTW my bloods from booking appointment came back as slightly anaemic so taking iron now but it hasn't really alleviated the exhaustion, but you might want to try and make sure you are getting enough iron in your diet and see if that helps?

ValentineFizz · 29/05/2017 16:36

@mrsjkerry that would be gorgeous for a wee girl

JellyBean89 · 29/05/2017 17:06

Thanks @Monkeypuzzle32 and @Victoriaaaaaaaa it definitely feels like I'm drugged. Last week I struggled at work and it's been getting worst every day. @ValentineFizz I hope it passes for you soon, I have a history of anaemia and I know how horrid it can be. Will definitely make sure I have enough iron in my diet and ask my Gp to check when I see her, I'm hoping to get an appointment this week.

JellyBean89 · 29/05/2017 17:08

@mrsjkerry that pushchair looks adorable for a little girl! I'd definitely feel more comfortable if the baby was facing me too.
Ps: I think we were on the same TTC board!!

Victoriaaaaaaaa · 29/05/2017 17:13

Is it bad that I've eaten a full tub of Ben and jerrys icecream? Caramel chew chew of course! First time I've actually managed to eat a full something!

QuestionARhino · 29/05/2017 17:52

@Victoriaaaaaaaa as long as it's cooked through you're fine my lovely! This is a safe place to sound off your anxieties, so you carry on. Food ones I can help with as used to be a chef and DP is so food safety training is commonplace Grin

Are you still first trimester? I read clemmie hoopers book "how to grow a baby" and it said something along the lines of just eating in first trimester is sufficient, don't worry about getting a balanced diet until you can properly stomach it (paraphrasing) which I was relieved to read bc DP was worried I was just eating crap all the time (usually s&v crisps) so I just ate whatever I could manage (I puked it up anyway) until I felt better from 14.5 weeks Smile

QuestionARhino · 29/05/2017 17:53

@Victoriaaaaaaaa even in 2nd trimester I've been known to eat a whole sharing bag of crisps ¯\(ツ)/¯ I keep somewhat active, drink plenty, the majority of my diet is balanced so I'm not too fussed!

Victoriaaaaaaaa · 29/05/2017 17:54

@QuestionARhino yeah first trimester :) between 6-7 weeks now and that's good! I get so paranoid about food lol

QuestionARhino · 29/05/2017 18:13

@Victoriaaaaaaaa that's okay, it's because we're heavily warned about it! A lot of it is if we have certain food poisoning bacteria that enters the blood stream then the umbilical cord serves as a straight path to baby BUT the chances of getting things like listeria and salmonella are already low, it's just not worth that tiny risk when you have a baby to think of so it's safe practice to avoid any threats. Don't forget though some people don't realise they're pregnant til 3rd trimester and carry on eating and drinking as usual and often the baby is just fine, it's just that if you know you're pregnant, why risk it? It's okay to me vigilant about food, just don't let it take over! I've totally had a bit of rare steak and a tiny smudge of pate while pregnant I just couldn't help myself I just don't make a habit of it GrinHalo

Victoriaaaaaaaa · 29/05/2017 18:37

Thanks @QuestionARhino that makes me feel a lot better lol

mrsjkerry · 29/05/2017 18:58

@JellyBean89 yes I remember you 🤗

@Victoriaaaaaaaa I try to be as "vigilant" as possible, but you also have to live a life and if you read everything you'd never even eat or drink!!

I am currently on holiday. About to having a mommy to be massage. Can't wait. Am desperate to use the jacuzzi though 😖 one thing I really miss is the sauna & steam & jacuzzis. Especially when it's as lush as this.

I'm off Croatia in September think I'll be around 6 months then - gonna see if they do a mummy massage at the hotel!

Let me know how it goes!

ew1990 · 29/05/2017 19:09

@mrsjkerry I've had to cancel an hen do in august coz it's at a spa and I'll just be left on my own when everyone else is in jacuzzi and hot tub, plus it was £200+ and I can't justify now I'm pregnant, it wasn't someone I'm fairly close to just oh family friend xxx

lydiangel83 · 29/05/2017 19:27

Is it ok to have a warm bath? My back is aching and would love a good soak

@mrsjkerry that jacuzzi does look nice what a shame!
