Hello,

Can I join?
First pregnancy...
I was six weeks on Monday.
Feeling very very sick all the time Sad
And my boobies seem to be growing at an alarming rate!
Other than that not too bad!

MSH2010 · 19/04/2017 09:29

Congratulations feedmyface!!

Moo31 · 19/04/2017 09:38

What time is your appt @MrsJ? Sounds like you will need 5 hours including travel time, parking, etc!

Moo31 · 19/04/2017 09:39

Congrats @feedmyface! :) Would love some battenberg right now! Haha!

Roo3819 · 19/04/2017 10:15

Hi ladies, New here and first pregnancy. 7 weeks. A surprise for hubby and I!!
Nausea started to get worse now, particularly morning and evenings, still figuring out what make it worse/better.
Love reading your experiences Smile

MSH2010 · 19/04/2017 10:17

Congratulations and welcome Roo!

sophr2017 · 19/04/2017 10:47

Congrats Roo and Feedmyface!!

Could totally eat some battenberg too now, hmm just off to find some Wink

FeedMyFaceWithBattenberg · 19/04/2017 10:52

I love battenberg! 😍
Has anyone got any tips for what I can eat each three hours to keep my nausea at bay? Have been eating crumpets and marmite but worried this is a bit salty!
Thanks x

Moo31 · 19/04/2017 11:01

I found some oaty ginger biscuits in tesco that were good. Also raisins / dried fruit. Cereal bars. Dry cereal. Bagels. Nuts. Toast. If I think of anything else I'll let you know!

MSH2010 · 19/04/2017 11:03

Ginger biscuits and mints helped me. Although I wasn't too bad they just helped when I needed them.

sophr2017 · 19/04/2017 11:18

I would find something to eat then within a few days I couldn't touch it, it as changing so much! Try having a variety of snacks and just see what you fancy, I ate a lot of ginger biscuits too (proper stem ginger ones) and also things like potato waffles and bread and butter, I wasn't actually sick though just nauseous so not sure if that makes any difference!

At this stage I wouldn't worry about what you're eating too much, better to get something in you then nothing!

lydiangel83 · 19/04/2017 16:57

@Roo and @FeedMyFace congrats and welcome!

I've been eating toast and marmite a lot, pasta with cheese, potato waffles, choc and biscuits. Belvita breakfast biscuits aren't bad.

I figured marmite was good if craving it as it has vitamin B in it so maybe your body needs it?!

I've had to go up a dress size already and am only 8+4!!

MrsB12345 · 19/04/2017 17:13

I second eating nuts and dry biscuits to help. I had nausea morning noon and night. Am approching the 12 week mark and scan is next week so can't wait for that.

My MIL has already started knitting....good job as it's a November baby xx

MSH2010 · 19/04/2017 17:16

Feeling the stretch today ladies
15+4 (with twins) stomach area really aches
Work trousers were definitely tighter by the time I took them off
Suppose I've been lucky so far

Roo3819 · 19/04/2017 17:35

Haven't managed to keep anything solid down today, only water, a little juice and sucked on an ice lolly.
Do any of you ladies find your sickness is worse if you haven't got enough sleep?

Moo31 · 19/04/2017 18:03

@Roo my sickness was terrible yesterday and today and now that you say it I had a busy weekend and a very late night on Monday night at the in laws. So maybe it could he linked! I managed a few spoonfuls of soup late afternoon and have just managed some plain pasta. Also been sucking on ice pops. I thought I was over the worst of it as it's been over a week since I was sick but yesterday was horrendous! Couldn't even keep water down. I'm 10+5 and I don't think severe ms is common at this stage so the lack of sleep might explain it!

Moo31 · 19/04/2017 18:05

@MrsB my mum has had 2 "bottom drawers" filled with knitted cardigans, blankets etc for me and my sister for years and is thrilled that one of them.will finally get to be used!! Lol knitting is really dying out isn't it but I love seeing babies in wee hand knitted stuff :)

MrsB12345 · 19/04/2017 20:17

@Moo31 I love knitted babywear. Am a big fan of cable knit too xx

MrsB12345 · 19/04/2017 20:20

Quick question

I'm 11w5d and been getting stretching feelings again for the last few days. Originally had this feeling at the beginning of the pregnancy. Anyone else feeling this?x

Frillyhorseyknickers · 19/04/2017 21:28

Can I join in too?!

17+3 with my first, just starting to feel some bubbling fluttering in my tummy ❤

Really struggled with my weight gain, I've had issues with weight gain and my body image my whole life, I'm usually a size 12 and I'm in the awkward "is she fat or is she pregnant" stage. Can't wait to have a proper bump!

NiceCuppaTeaAndASitDown · 19/04/2017 21:42

Hello, I'd like to join in too. I'm 8+5 and my EDD is 24th November.

I just can't wait until I can tell people rather how it is at the moment. I feel like I'm skulking around avoiding drinks and mr whippys at every turn!

mrsjkerry · 19/04/2017 22:14

I would agree that tiredness makes the sickness worse. Definitely!

I am shattered. First teaching day back today. Also my birthday. Went out for dinner with family and finally home. Sooooo tired!

Welcome to the thread ladies @NiceCuppaTeaAndASitDown @Frillyhorseyknickers x

Squigglefish · 20/04/2017 08:29

Is anyone struggling to brush their teeth. Is used to be the first thing I do on a morning now it has to be the last minute. It triggers me retching every time, even if I feel ok.

My 12w scan is 8.30 on Monday at my place of work. I'm really lucky!

Jessiecat27 · 20/04/2017 09:05

Hey ladies, sorry I've been awol! Thanks for the suggestions!
@MSH I've read you can continue to ride if your midwife agrees but to walk rather than run? Sorry I don't know the terms Hmm welcome to the new ladies too!
I've just been eating what I can stomach and the colder my water the better! Seabands are helping a bit I think
@squiggle is it the mint flavour or the actual brushing? Holland and Barrett do all sorts of flavours so that might help!
I can't suck in anymore and when I do it's still rock hard! 10 +3 today!
