Congratulations monkeypuzzle that's a great pic, and I'm pleased it can alleviate some of your worries x

Victoriaaaaaaaa · 25/05/2017 09:18

How far along are you monkey?

Monkeypuzzle32 · 25/05/2017 09:52

9w6 today, I'm trying to get hold of the midwife to get an NHS appointment so should have a scan between 11w3 and 14 w according to them.

Monkeypuzzle32 · 25/05/2017 09:53

Thanks Brens seeing is believing as they say!

ew1990 · 25/05/2017 10:21

@Monkeypuzzle32 what a cute picture!

Girls I've been to the doctors this morning - he's prescribed me something for the migraines, took my bloods again to check for low iron and signed me off for a week xx

MSH2010 · 25/05/2017 10:36

My bloods are back. I'm anemic so starting iron tablets. At least I'm not going mad

Monkeypuzzle32 · 25/05/2017 10:42

ew1990 thank you! I just hope thats not the babys nose I can see!

ew1990 · 25/05/2017 10:50

Haha, at my 12 week scan the head was massive compared to body, I was like I'm not gunna be able to push that out 😂😂

jcro234 · 25/05/2017 10:56

Hi everyone 🤗 New to mumsnet, just found out I am PG with my first baby. Am currently 5+3 and sadly am already feeling pretty awful 😭 I suffer badly with migraines and GP has told me I cannot take anything other than paracetamol( which makes no difference). Have had to stay off work today which is stressing me out. Anybody else have any meds prescribed for migraine during pregnancy?

Xxx

ew1990 · 25/05/2017 11:52

I've just had some prescribed today called prochlorperazine- GP said they are safe to take while pregnant x

jcro234 · 25/05/2017 12:03

Thanks ew1990!

I will ask about this- I usually use Sumatriptan but that's a big nob-no I am told!

Xx

ew1990 · 25/05/2017 19:08

How's everyone coping with the heat, it's currently 27 degrees here even at this time and I am sweltering x

jcro234 · 25/05/2017 19:23

Same here ( near Glasgow). I am not enjoying it for once! 😂

TheLionQueen1 · 25/05/2017 19:28

Yep it's pretty damn hot 😂 I was in the dentist for an hour waiting in the hottest waiting room, it was ridiculous! Also was a delight using my maternity exemption card and not paying! Has everyone got theirs yet?

ew1990 · 25/05/2017 19:29

@jcro234 ooh I'm going Glasgow this weekend! (I'm near Manchester) and my partner bought us tickets to go and see kiss, I'm soooo excited @TheLionQueen1 I got the form at my 8 week appointment just not sent it off yet you've just reminded me xx

TheLionQueen1 · 25/05/2017 19:32

I sent it straight off! She said it would take ages to get back but I had it within weeks, have used it for prescriptions and dentist now, getting my monies worth Grin

lydiangel83 · 25/05/2017 19:40

I've been wearing a dress far too small for me at work today, so happy to get home and put on my slob wear!

Am compiling a big heap of clothes that no longer fit me - feels weird to know all my nice clothes will be going away for a year!

ew1990 · 25/05/2017 19:56

@lydiangel83 I've just had a breakdown trying to find something to wear tomorrow as it's even hotter and nothing fits me!! Xx

Squigglefish · 25/05/2017 20:37

Hi all, so lovely seeing your 20w scans. Can't wait for mine in 3 weeksI'm suffering so much woth the heat, I've always been a cold person. My bump I'd now huge, well it feels that way! I just feel too small to be buying bigger clothes or maternity wear. I'm stuck in an uncomfortable limbo lol!

Bubbasmama2017 · 25/05/2017 20:52

I feel like my bump has vanished today! Been feeling heat as a normally cold person as well. Did anyone notice at 14-15 weeks the bump went down but came back again later? X

ew1990 · 25/05/2017 20:54

@Bubbasmama2017 mine went at 12-13 weeks, i think it was bloating before then, but it's deffo popped back up now at 15 xx

lydiangel83 · 25/05/2017 20:56

I'm 17+1 and bump starting to grow faster, just a shame my legs bum and arms are too lol!

There was a really fit pregnant lady in coffee shop in front of me this morning, huge belly and toned limbs, I really wanted to ask how she had done it but thought it would be weird!! Then she ordered a green smoothie and I ordered my standard large hot chocolate and peanut butter bagel for breakfast!! Wonder if that had anything to do with it lol!!

Woolly17 · 25/05/2017 21:14

New here and 1st time pregnancy - week 35 tomorrow and just feeling increasingly terrified at prospect of parenthood (I know nothing and worse I know that I know nothing).

The first 6 months were pretty awful for me (the baby is still thriving - phew) and had to go off early for maternity leave (bummer). I'm feeling a bit down at present because I've gone from being very active and fit to a sofa blob. Actually it's worse than that - I can't sit on the sofa any more as I can't get back up without help. So I feel a bit useless as a wife and functional adult ...
