Thank you, I'm out. I seem to have got through the worst this afternoon and went to the hospital to double check this evening thinking worse was to come but I seem to have miscarried at home.

Enormous hugs to others having a difficult time and best wishes to all Flowers

Teaspoon74 · 05/04/2017 23:51

@Ekphrasis so sorry. No words. Flowers

Ekphrasis · 06/04/2017 08:16

Thank you, I'm fine. Unless it's yet to hit I think I did my processing earlier in the week and this is a relief.

Pixie106 · 06/04/2017 08:48

@Ekphrasis mine hit me yesterday afternoon big time. Crying constantly and ended up in bed at 9pm and cried myself to sleep.
I got my Lil man out of his cot asleep and sat in his room just cuddling him and grieving for another of his baby brothers or sisters that he will never know.
But feel a bit better today, think I needed to get it out of my system.
Symptoms seem to be going so at least my body isn't going to be cruel this time and trick me into thinking I could still be pregnant.
Part of me is wondering if I actually do want to put myself through this again, but when I see beautiful scan pics, my womb pings and I know I've gotta try again!
Big hugs for all going through this, it will get better. I should know 🦋

Ekphrasis · 06/04/2017 10:01

Huge hugs pixie. I'm so sorry, that is so many losses to go through. Regarding the thyroid test it might be worth checking what the result was though if you feel well it's very unlikely to be an issue.

Have you read 'it starts with the egg?' There might be some other things you can do that are suggested in there.

I'm so sorry to everyone suffering losses at the moment. Having been there, I know how heartbreaking it is, especially at our age. What Pixie said really struck me - I'd love a dozen kids and so dearly wish I was a few years younger so I could keep going. The strain of knowing time is running out is just unbearable. Hugs to you all.

Teabagtits · 07/04/2017 12:26

Condolences to those experiencing loss right now.

I had my 28w growth scan and everything is "normal" (I hate that word) and baby is on 50th centile. They didn't give me a weight estimate tho. Had a very thorough consultant appointment and an amazing midwife. They've all been good but these two were just brilliant. Wish I got to see the same people every time! I've another growth scan at 32weeks so only 4 weeks time.

Iusuallylovecake · 07/04/2017 17:32

Afternoon,
So sorry for those having a tough time, it's so hard to go thru Flowers
Had a scare today, went to toilet first thing and found blood. Rang triage and went straight in. After v thorough checks all is well and was nice to hear heartbeat for a good long time!
Glad it's now Easter hols for me so can put feet up for a couple of weeks!

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/04/2017 17:50

BIg hugs to you both 💐💐

GreedyDuck · 07/04/2017 18:08

I've just discovered I'm bleeding too. It's pretty fresh looking. If there's ever a good time to start bleeding 5.44pm on a Friday isn't it. No EPU until Monday, and I had to go and pick dd up from the childminder straight after. Argh.

Poor dp is meant to be running a marathon on Sunday too.

Pixie106 · 07/04/2017 18:09

Got a negative already and bleeding has almost stopped. Doc has told me to take baby aspirin when I next get a BFP, to see if that helps.
If no joy next time, then it's down the progesterone route!
On holiday Monday to Spain so plenty of sangria and early nites I feel! 😂
Watch this space come the end of the month I feel like Arnie....."I'll be back!" 😍

LastnightaDJ · 07/04/2017 18:17

Hi everyone! So sorry to hear bad news from various quarters...

I've not been on thread for ages as was having trouble posting. Am really v tired in evenings. Also starting to feel really "heavy" down below and in bladder area (sorry if tmi!) Don't know at what point that usually starts but I am just 26 weeks or so so I hope it doesn't get a lot worse ...

Had an appointment with consultant which was inconclusive really.. She just told me that it might all start naturally this time round as second pregnancy (I was trying to establish when they'd insist on an induction as I am trying to avoid one this time round if possible). Hey ho. She isn't a fortune teller, I suppose. She didn't answer about when they'd insist, just said they would offer it (annoyingly I was so tense that I didn't actually catch when they'd offer it, and I am normally a details person). The appointment was stressful, I started crying already in the corridor waiting to see her (running late of course and being in a hospital brought it all back).

Looked into doulas Indy midwifes a few weeks ago but all the nice ones are taking July school hols off 😢

LastnightaDJ · 07/04/2017 18:18

Oh no, I've just seen recent posts... Sorry to hear it, hope you can get some help on a Fri eve....

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/04/2017 20:08

Triage is 24/7

Ring the no on the front of your medical notes

GreedyDuck · 07/04/2017 20:45

I'm not booked in yet. Dp called the EPU on his dash home from work and they advised a&e. It has slowed up though and I'm not cramping so I'm going to leave it until the morning.

I was just beginning to come around to the idea that this might be working out as my previous mmcs happened earlier and we've had a couple of positive scans. 10+5 today.

My last mc ruined Christmas, this (if it is another one) is going to royally fuck up Easter. So pissed off at being 43 right now.

Efferlunt · 07/04/2017 21:20

Best of luck Pixie - a friend of mine tried aspirin after a few miscarriages and it worked for her.

ChristmasSeacow · 07/04/2017 22:51

Oh Greedy, hope it isn't mc. And sorry about the awful timing Flowers

DJ I asked my consultant about induction and she told me they would induce me in my last week i.e. Somewhere between 39 and 40 weeks, if nothing has happened spontaneously. Don't know if it is the same in all trusts. I have a consultant appointment at c 37 weeks to agree the plan for induction. I sincerely hope I don't need inducing because I had a good spontaneous delivery last time and worry that induction will be much messier and prolonged. But what will be will be.

I also feel very heavy down below, at 28 weeks. I have a prolapse from last time and I think that is the main contributing factor.

Good news about the scan teabag. Same for me yesterday! I was told the baby is 3lb now - bigger than I thought.

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/04/2017 09:51

They got my weights totally wrong

All along said she was a big baby and estimated towards 9lbs

She was 7.3

Thank god wasn't 9lbs as hard enough getting a 7.3 head out !!!

Ekphrasis · 08/04/2017 11:11

Hope you're ok greedy.

We were advised by the consultant after ds was born to take asprin in early pregnancy next time due to IUGR; I couldn't get anyone to confirm this this pregnancy, but the dr I saw at the epu said definitely try it, it must be before 16 weeks. So I'm going to try it.

Brugmansia · 08/04/2017 18:18

So I got a text today with an appointment at the hospital for 20th. The text says fetal scan appointment but I will only be around 8/9 weeks by then. I am being referred for consultant lead care this time as I had an EMCS and pre-eclampsia last time. I wasn't expecting an early scan though. Just wondering if anyone else has had this? It's just a text though so I can't call to find out more until Monday.

GreedyDuck · 10/04/2017 12:13

Phew, had another scan this morning. Baby kicking about happily in there. No idea why I bled, she could see where it had come from, but couldn't explain why. Hopefully it won't happen again. Dating scan next week.
