Oh no teabag, that's rubbish. I had severe vomiting on my due date last time and my bump kept contracting for several days afterwards.

I had a little brown spotting when I wiped yesterday and this morning, then a little red around lunchtime. Hardly any. I wasn't going to bother the epu but advice ok mn and a fb group was that it's probably fine but double check.

They've offered me a scan tomorrow at 3 so we'll see.

I keep swinging from totally cool about it to being a bit upset. I don't actually know if the scan will help tbh but I guess it will be good to know one way or the other. Or maybe if they can tell if the placenta is in a tricky place (?).

Teabagtits · 02/04/2017 15:34

Good luck tomorrow ekphrasis seeing any spotting or blood is terrifying.

Ekphrasis · 02/04/2017 19:09

Thanks. It's progressing to what I feel looks more like a period. Only when I go to the loo but a significant amount.

I know of many tales of positive outcomes as well as mc so I guess I'll have to wait and see.

Hi!

I turned 41 a couple of weeks ago and am currently 13 weeks pregnant with no.4! I'm abroad and have already had numerous scans including 12 week and harmony test so know I'm having a baby girl...

I already have DS who will turn 8 in October, dd1 who is almost 5 & dd2 who turns 3 in October...

This is definitely our last!

Montsti · 02/04/2017 20:06

Just to add that this is another October due date so 3 out of 4 of mine will have been but it will be my 4th c section and they'll do the op at 38 weeks so end of September...

PingusMistress · 02/04/2017 20:27

Sorry to hear that ekphrasis. I have everything crossed for your scan tomorrow.

Welcome montsti. You're going to have your hands full!

MrsBobDylan · 02/04/2017 20:51

Another hello from me - I am just 4 weeks today, so very early stages. All being well, this will be my 4th child, I have 3 ds, 9,7 and 3 and am due in December.

Like Montsti this will be my 4th section, which makes me feel a bit eeeek at times!

I had a mmc last year so I keep reminding myself that this is a journey and I just need to take it a day at a time. Trying to embrace the queasiness right now by reminding myself its a good thing!

Good luck for tomorrow Ekphrasis, it's so scary. I had a pretty big bleed with ds1, then with my mmc I didn't bleed at all and found out at the scan so you just never know. It's so very scary Flowers.

I have just noticed that Canrt has posted on the old thread about pink discharge. I couldn't point over over here as the thread is full.

If you have found us here Canrt I hope you are okay. I would ring them midwife at 10. Flowers

Canrt · 03/04/2017 13:17

Hi Seacow, I'm here.. actually sat in the waiting room at Hosp waiting.. really frustrating as first mid-wife appt is supposed to be happening soon at another hospital.. bleeding is slightly worse just trying to stay calm and hopeful. I think someone here said to remind themselves it's a journey and to take one step at a time.. I'm next in line to be seen here so fingers crossed!

ChristmasSeacow · 03/04/2017 13:39

Oh fingers crossed Carnt , hope you get some advice soon x

Montsti · 03/04/2017 13:46

I had a little bit of bleeding with my 1st, nothing with 2nd or 3rd and then a gush of blood including a clot (sorry tmi) at 8 weeks with this one..followed by nearly a week of brown spotting...I've had 3 scans since (including 12 week) and all is ok..

Good luck today and I hope all works out😊🙏.

Ekphrasis · 03/04/2017 13:56

Good to hear mont, fingers crossed Carnt. Mine at 3.

Shortbread74 · 03/04/2017 14:36

Hello

I'm 42

6w 3d

First child conceived naturally after a year of trying which included a termination for Edwards syndrome and a CP

Like 24deedee, am constantly googling and worrying.

West London alas, not Edmonton!

Teabagtits · 03/04/2017 16:16

Hope all went well today carnt and ekphrasis

Ekphrasis · 03/04/2017 18:02

I have a separate thread, coping here what I put there.

There was an embryo and a heartbeat but it only measured 5-6 weeks. 3.4 mm so apparently 5.5 wks. I could be 7+5 but that means I got a positive test at 8 dpo. Which is possible I guess? But currently measuring at least 2 weeks behind. No idea what bleed was. It was an internal scan.

I have a scan in 10 days, so we'll see then.

I really don't know what to think.

ChristmasSeacow · 03/04/2017 18:31

Ekphrasis I have no idea either! Heartbeat is a great start, but I guess it's hard to know whether baby is growing slowly or you are just earlier than you thought. Bleeding could be something or nothing, but if you still have a heartbeat that's good for now. Waiting games are awful, sorry you have to go through it Flowers.

Hope you are okay Canrt

Gizmojo · 03/04/2017 18:51

ekphrasis I got a positive test at 8dpo so yes, it is possible. Like christmas says, a heartbeat is a good sign. Sorry about the waiting game Flowers

Thanks ladies. Trying to think positive.

Shortbread74 · 03/04/2017 19:30

Ekphrasis, sending you positive vibes. It must be so stressful, but as others have said a heartbeat is a great start.

Blondes, hearty congratulations to you on the arrival of Babyblondes (great name:) . I've only been on this thread for a short time but your perseverance and optimism is wonderful.

I've got my second scan tomorrow at 6w 4d and I hope they find something this time.

I asked my GP about progesterone pessaries to improve the chances of an ongoing pregnancy but he said they don't offer this on the NHS. I'm flummoxed by this as all my friends who have had IVF have been put on these almost immediately after conception..

Ekphrasis · 03/04/2017 19:35

Shortbread, at the epu today there was a poster advertising for women who'd had early bleeding to participate in a study for progesterone so maybe that's been part of it?

CreamCheez · 03/04/2017 19:36

I'm 41 & tested positive at the weekend. I'm blowing up allover already! Doctors appointment booked for Friday. Excited & terrified in equal measure!

CreamCheez · 03/04/2017 19:36

It's my first time, btw!

weasledee · 03/04/2017 20:47

Congrats cheese!! :)

Canrt · 04/04/2017 17:58

Hi all,

Just writing as an update.. although I'm not sure I belong on this thread anymore. ChristmasSeacow - it's a waiting game... the embryo didn't look to be the right size for 6 weeks (although test done that morning said 2-3 weeks so poss only 4-5 weeks anyway?). Still in pain and still bleeding - just going about my normal horribly stressful working day.. Another scan on Wed next week. It'll either have all passed by itself, or it'll be the same size (in which case not viable) or it'll be ok. Doc said "I don't know". Sigh.. so just waiting. I bought some more pregnancy tests - is it wise to use these?

Canrt · 04/04/2017 18:01

Shortbread - hi :-)
I am going to get a private appointment with a private GP near my work who will prescribe progesterone. It's called Cyclogest. The appt will set me back £90 and the prescription £40. I'll use the pessaries for the 2 weeks after ov (if this one doesn't work out, and I'm thinking it's not), test, if positive then continue using them if not use them next time xx
