I'm sure she really appreciates you being there today. Hopefully we can give her some support & company over the next wee while once family have gone.

TALLULAHBELLE · 19/09/2007 10:08

Midnight - are you free for coffee any day next week? Hope S enjoyed his play in the park last week.

midnightexpress · 19/09/2007 10:48

Hi Tallulah - yes, next week looking pretty quiet (the calm before the granny...) so would be happy to meet up - mornings probably better as ds1 will be at nursery. How about Weds?

Hope everyone else OK - it must be nearly time for our next meetup? Time flies...

TALLULAHBELLE · 19/09/2007 11:20

Hi everyone,

Thank you very much for all your support. It means alot to us. Thanks very much. I miss James very much, he is the best boy in the world. Just created this site, memorial site for my son, please take a look.

james-terrence-lynch.gonetoosoon.co.uk/my_index.php

I will be away for a while and hopefully will feel a little easier...taking it day by day now.

Vio · 19/09/2007 17:31

Please light a candle for James, thanks!

TALLULAHBELLE · 19/09/2007 18:53

Vio,
Posted on the other thread. Am so moved by how strong you are. What a beautiful photo of JimJim - he was lucky to have such a brave, loving mummy to be by his side through his short life.

midnightexpress · 19/09/2007 21:10

You're amazing Vio - like Tallullah says, JimJim was lucky to have you for a mummy. And what a beautiful, brave wee boy.

I hope you and Martin will have a good break and that we'll see you around on here soon.

Welcome potpourri! Hope the pg's going well so far?

And see you Weds Tallulah. BTW, have you got a nappy bucket?

trixymalixy · 19/09/2007 21:46

Loulee · 20/09/2007 19:09

absolutely - a really beautiful boy.

midnightexpress · 20/09/2007 20:08

hi Loulee - have you been in Ireland yet? How's it going?

Loulee · 21/09/2007 12:19

hi
yes, back from ireland, then overnight stop and down 2 bristol 4 a wedding. lovely time - esp mayo. mil really great with kids - esp in the morning! - couldn't really ask for more.
in the swing of things with 3 now - though still wishing for more sleep. wee boy is great though

how are you? and how did the meet-up go? sorry i missed it.

midnightexpress · 21/09/2007 14:14

Mmmm sounds lovely Loulee! Sympathise with the sleep deprivation - ds2 still having none of it.

The meetup was great - they're all growing so quickly. We're thinking of making it a monthly get-together, so there should be another one soon. Hope to see you there and meet ds.

midnightexpress · 21/09/2007 14:17

btw, are you back at yoga yet? I guess it's a bit soon after a cs. I'm thinking of going back to the Sat morning general class if I can persuade dp to look after the boys for a couple of hours. . My back's in dire need of some stretching after all these rubbish nights' sleep.

trixymalixy · 21/09/2007 15:33

Had DS allergy tested today and he's allergic to milk (which was no surprise) egg and cats. So it looks like we're going to have to get rid of our cats which I'm pretty gutted about.

On the upside they might be the reason that he sleeps so badly so I might get a good night's sleep for a change.

My SIL goes to yoga with her baby. Does anyone know of any classes like that in Glasgow.

i finally accepted that bfing alone isn't going to take off all the weight so joined a slimming class and now I'm looking for exercise classes I can do with DS.

TALLULAHBELLE · 21/09/2007 16:27

Hi Trixy - about cats. Will u be able to rehome them?

I am going to baby yoga - @ Bodysense in Partick. You need to call the teacher beforehand but after first time is drop-in. Can look for link if u want more details. Also Balance do a mum & baby class but its advance booking only. Exercise classes I know of are Running Mums in Kelvingrove Park & the hospital fitness classes - have u done them yet?

Loulee · 21/09/2007 19:09

not back at yoga yet, but really keen to. have my 6 week check next week and have arranged to see the physio at qmh - she wants to check my tummy muscles before i start exercise - think they were in a dire state this time round
also really keen to lose baby weight, but one thing at a time i guess...would be lovely to get back into my old clothes.
yep, will prob try sat morn class at balance again as dp doesnt mind looking after kiddos,so should see you there soon.
also keen to do pilates - have heard it's the only way to get rid of the c-section over-hang! anyone know of a good class city centre glasgow or west end?
and do you reckon touche eclat is the best under-eye bag cocealer?? or any other tricks? i am in serious need!

midnightexpress · 21/09/2007 20:27

Sorry to hear about the cats Trixy - that's a shame. I went to the mother and baby yoga at Balance with ds1, briefly. It was good fun. but can't say I did an awful lot of yoga, as ds1 yowled through most of each class. I think it's meant for babies up to 6 months though, so they might not let you join (I think there was one older baby at ours, but mostly pretty tiny, and shockingly well-behaved!).

Loulee, if it's any consolation, I'm only just about back into my 'real' clothes now and ds2 was 8 months old this week. That's what comes of having two in such swift succession I guess. And know how you feel re bags under the eyes. Mine veritable suitcases most days. In fact I've just invested in some Weleda Rose eye cream. Can't say I've noticed a huge difference so far, but it feels quite nice. A good night's sleep is probably the answer. Ha. Let me know if you find a good pilates class.

mummyrazzle · 22/09/2007 13:59

Hi there ! Have been on holiday and managed to kinda forget all my woes about being pregnant ! Please forgive me if this is all old news to you lot of experienced mummies but my head is mince with everything !!
Why are people obsessed with the fact that I am 18 weeks and not showing like a 9 month pregnant woman ? I am a size 16 normally so I expected to just look a bit fatter for a while but now I think BabyC isn't growing the way he should be !!! Driving me nuts !!!

Think I need reassurance from other folk seeing as I am Surrounded by friends and family that are size 10 and have perfect baby bumps

Thanks girlies x

thelady · 22/09/2007 16:19

Don't panic. I didn't show much until 20 weeks (first baby, normally size 16 - 18) and now all I get is "god you're huge" at 29 weeks.

Sigh!

midnightexpress · 22/09/2007 19:00

Oh it's rubbish isn't it? Don't worry though - each bump is different. I didn't show much for first 20 weeks or so with ds1, but with ds2 none of my clothes fitted after about 8 weeks (or for 8 months after he was born, but that's another story!). 1st babies often don't show as much because your stomach muscles haven't been knackered yet. Think yourself lucky!

Loulee · 24/09/2007 18:20

Trixy, just been chatting to a friend who is looking for a cat - and can't find one....Are you going to re-house yours? could put you in touch if it's appropriate?

hope everyone well. Lx
