Hello!
Any one else received their first BFP this month!? I am 4+5. Due November 10 and would love to talk to some other first time mummies as every twinge and niggle sends me into panic at the moment!! I'm sure I'm not the only one...

I'm suffering from awful nausea/morning sickness so can't even say that! I had to be off work last week and literally haven't left my house this week, it's miserable! Kicked in at 6+2 weeks!

mrsjkerry · 12/03/2017 12:22

Yep my friend said exactly six weeks for her too. If that's the case I'm due next week to feel rotten! I hate feeling sick but I'm hoping I get it because then it feels more real 😄🙈

Mrsjkerry that could be famous last words 😂 If you do though you should try Sea Bands, they've helped quite a bit to take the edge off!

The worst thing is I've gone off chocolate and tea, my two favourite things (apart from wine but obviously that's been a no go for a while 😂) It's funny what our body can do to us!

Moo31 · 12/03/2017 12:28

Yes it feels very surreal doesn't it! I found out last Friday and it's been the longest week of my life so definitely wishing time away! We're counting time to small milestones - 6weeks, 8 weeks, 12 weeks. Then I'll be able to relax a little!

My mum is my best friend so it's so hard to keep it from her, it will be the first grandchild on both sides so I know everyone will be over the moon but we're so close I'm itching to tell her! His parents live over an hour away and feel like they miss out on quite a lot so that's why we want to tell them at the same time. 2 weeks today ... not that long right?!

Interested to know where the £45 reassurance scan was too??

Moo31 · 12/03/2017 12:30

I said that to oh mrsj - I won't complain cos I'm so happy to be pg! Even if I get morning sickness I'll be so happy because it's a pg symptom etc etc as soph says we might be eating our words (if we can eat anything!)

Moo31 · 12/03/2017 12:33

@soph - hope your ms eases soon :(

sophr2017 · 12/03/2017 12:38

Don't worry Moo even if I feel sick it hasn't ruined my appetite, I've eaten 20 potato waffles in 3 days 😂!

It's definitely more fun then feeling normally sick, but makes it much harder to hide the fact you're pregnant! You may be lucky and not suffer though, and even if you do, like you said, it's worth it!!

Moo31 · 12/03/2017 12:47

Have you tried the travel sickness bands? I get travel sick and have read they help for morning sickness also so fingers crossed! Also I've read it's due to low blood sugar so I'll be making sure my blood sugar stay high ;)

sophr2017 · 12/03/2017 12:58

Yes I wear sea bands all the time, which takes the edge off. I don't think the blood sugar thing is strictly true, I'm eating little but often and mixed foods to ensure my blood levels are up but sadly still ill. I'm not sure there is much to do to avoid it from research I've looked into, if you're going to get it then you just are!

theotherendofthesockportal · 12/03/2017 13:11

Can I join? It's not technically my first pregnancy as I had a mmc in January at 13 weeks, the baby stopped developing around 8/9 weeks.

I need some people to talk to as hubby and I aren't telling anyone at all this time around. I may spontaneously combust if I don't talk to someone

sophr2017 · 12/03/2017 13:21

Congratulations Theotherend!! Sorry to hear about you mmc though. How are you feeling this time, how far gone are you?

theotherendofthesockportal · 12/03/2017 13:28

I'm just about 4 weeks, I knew I was pregnant straight away. This sounds terrible but I don't know how to be happy at the moment as I'm feeling numb and scared. I only got my BFP on Friday and boobs have ballooned and are sore, really hoping this is a sign that things are going well.

Sakura03 · 12/03/2017 13:44

Hi everyone, you guys are very creative when it comes to going to functions where you'd normally have drink (or two or three or.. lol). I haven't got anything like that coming up just yet but I'm going to a friend's for a long weekend at the of the month and we'd usually have quite a few G&T's but I'll just tell her that is if everything goes according to plan. Gosh I'm still so worried about miscarrying again -I constantly tell myself "what will be will be". I'm 5 weeks tomorrow, the time is passing sooooo slow these daysConfused....
Orange I did 3 tests. The first was for the clearblue fertility monitor which I had just purchased for the last cycle, my cycles have been anything between 24-27 days after my mc and as the monitor came with 4 pregnancy tests I thought why not just try one and low and behold it said pregnant. My dh was a bit sceptical about my "machine" and told me to buy a "proper" testGrin so I bought 2 clearblue tests that show the weeks. I'll probably do another test tomorrow or Tuesday (of course I will) to see if the weeks have shifted.

Sakura03 · 12/03/2017 13:48

Sorry about the typo's, should have checked before I posted...

Jessiecat27 · 12/03/2017 14:12

Sakura I will be five weeks tomorrow too! Each day feels like a week passing, I've wished the weekend away just so I can ring and get an appointment booked!

mrsjkerry · 12/03/2017 14:46

Hi Theotherend. I was excited at first but anxiety has kicked in. Just remember that feeling stressed will do more harm than anything to the little life growing and you've more chance of everything going well than not xx

Tonks87 · 12/03/2017 15:26

This is where I've booked my scan:

www.lifethroughthelens4d.co.uk

I bought some sea bands a while ago as I suffer from travel sickness but never got round to using them...I shall have to dig them out, thanks for the tip!

MistyBxx · 12/03/2017 17:16

Random one but anyone else got "tickly" boobs???
My lil boobies have been constantly aching for about 3 weeks now, they're only small but had to invest in a sports bra for bed and lounging round the house coz they just hurt when I move but today I'm constantly scratching them lol I can't decide if it's a tickle or a tingle and where on the baps it is, it's kind of all over and the nips! I've constantly got my hands down by bra having a delicate itch hahaha 😂😂😂

sophr2017 · 12/03/2017 17:20

Haha MistyB!! I haven't had that no!

Although worryingly mine are getting bigger and seeing as they're pretty big already (had breast enlargement 10 years ago) I just don't know what to do with them!

I'm off on holiday in May, got to try and find a bikini that will fit these bad boys in my then 😂

Hope the itching stops for you!

mrsjkerry · 12/03/2017 17:39

Misty the itching could be the skin stretching I suppose. I don't have that though..

OP posts:
THirdEeye · 12/03/2017 18:03

I get tingly nipples and sometimes!

Has anyone been getting indigestion and/or windy? I've never burped so much ever.

oneofthose · 12/03/2017 19:11

Mine have swollen so much already and they didn't need it to begin with. They feel more perky which is amazing tho Smile

And yeah they do feel slightly itchy and very sore.

I've definitely felt pregnant from the symptoms. I feel sick mostly when hungry and heartburn and need to pee all the time!

Moo31 · 12/03/2017 20:35

@the congratulations! Completely understandable that you would be anxious - I'm anxious and this is my first so to have had a loss must be 100 times as anxious. Everyone on this thread is lovely :)

I haven't had tingly boobs but that sounds very annoying haha!!

Re number of tests - I did 4 the morning I got my bfp then 2 for the next 4 mornings and then 1 the next 3 mornings. Oh suggested I take the weekend off and I'll be back tomorrow morning doing 1 every morning (at least until I have my booking appt). It's just a comfort still seeing the 2 lines!

MistyBxx · 12/03/2017 20:39

I did 4 tests the saturday I found out and another one the Monday after. I've got another clearblue left which I'm going to do tomorrow morning. I think I'm going to test every Monday for a few weeks yet lol. Does anyone know how many weeks the clearblue goes up to? Like I was 2-3 weeks on the day I found out, so I'm guessing I should be 3-4 weeks tomorrow? I wonder how many weeks they go on to?

sophr2017 · 12/03/2017 20:50

The last clearblue one is 3+ weeks Misty, I went up to that and then didn't take another as early can was booked in a week or so after!

Looks like we need to buy shares in pregnancy tests here ladies 😂
