Hello!
Any one else received their first BFP this month!? I am 4+5. Due November 10 and would love to talk to some other first time mummies as every twinge and niggle sends me into panic at the moment!! I'm sure I'm not the only one...

@tmc14 it's great that you are so active! I want to be like that too especially because I have a 9-5 office job so I'm sitting a lot.. Really need to get back to doing something. I will try some YouTube videos plus walking.

@ew1990 I don't know how can you be on your feet for 12 hours a day!! You are very strong!

@lydiangel83 you are still doing more than me currently Smile just keep it up!

tmc14 · 12/04/2017 16:32

MrsN - I've been very lucky so far with not many symptoms, just the tiredness really, so it makes exercising easier. My midwife said just moving around helps, so walking is fine & don't worry about the rest. I worry a bit about weight as I put it on really easily, and usually use exercise to counter my huge appetite!! But I'll see how it goes. Definitely don't push yourself though, and don't feel guilty about it. I found swimming ok as I can rest in between lengths!!

ew1990 · 12/04/2017 16:52

@MrsNemAz the good thing is I only have to do 3 shifts a week but they vary so when they are all together it kills me, never used to but I'm so tired lately xx

MrsB12345 · 12/04/2017 17:33

I'm an overweight mummy to be (classed as obeseBlush) and I gain weight by looking at food. Me and hubby started playing golf last year and I intend to carry on for as long as I can and also intend to start swimming soon too x

sophr2017 · 12/04/2017 18:03

Little tip, check swimming within your area, in my county you get free swimming at the council pools if you are pregnant! By no means do all of them do this but some others may!

tmc14 · 12/04/2017 18:10

Sophr - I am going to check that! Thanks for the tip.

mrsjkerry · 12/04/2017 18:26

@MrsNemAz I was very active. Sometimes two workouts a day. With this pregnancy sickness I cannot do my runs in the morning. I just about manage to see my pt once a week now...

Am piling on the weight as all I'm eating is toast and crisps and carbs and lie on the sofa most days as I just feel so sick!!

Girls I'm feeling very miserable tonight, my OH has been working away yesterday and isn't back till tomorrow teatime, my little bro and sis stayed last night which wasn't too bad, I've just got back from my smoking cessation appointment and am home alone, feels very lonely 😥 x

tmc14 · 12/04/2017 19:35

Evening Ew, can you get some nice dinner, curl up under a blanket & watch a film or something? Or call someone for a chat? When my OH is away I tend to use it a a great opportunity for a really early night! 😆

ew1990 · 12/04/2017 20:06

I'm just about to put some chicken and veg on for tea as I've ate crap for about 2 weeks, and then I was planning on catching up with OBEM if I'm brace enough, I think I'm just a bit hormonal and emotional? Xx

ew1990 · 12/04/2017 20:07

Meant brave I hate this phone lol

lydiangel83 · 12/04/2017 20:16

I wanted to wait until 12 weeks to get a baby on board badge but feeling so awful and so sick of standing on crowded trains I think I'm going to get one tomorrow at 7 + 3.

Anyone else have this issue? Worried about seeing local friends on train who we haven't told yet. I think I will get a badge and whip it out on busy occasions (ie most mornings). Is that bad?!

tmc14 · 12/04/2017 21:07

Hi Lydia, I got a badge a couple of weeks ago but haven't used it yet (I'm 8+5). I'm the same as you re. seeing people I know but figured I could add/remove it if needed.

lydiangel83 · 12/04/2017 21:38

@tmc14 I hear you re exercise and mental health and it's something I'm a bit concerned about. Will have to do a lot of walking instead of running I think!

@mrsjkerry Wow you're super fit! Will stand you in good stead I'm sure. I had to mumble excuses to my physio about why I wasn't doing the London marathon (I've worked so hard to train for it but not fit enough now and don't want to risk the exertion). Made me cry as I wanted it so badly and I can't tell her the truth as she is friend of BIL and SIL who we haven't seen in person to tell yet.

lydiangel83 · 12/04/2017 21:39

@mrsjkerry also putting on all the weight and eating the same foods as you! They are the only things that help!

ew1990 · 13/04/2017 13:56

How are you Ladies today? I'm so nervous about Saturday I feel constantly sick x

lydiangel83 · 13/04/2017 14:06

Sorry to hear that @ew1990 :-( I am ok just constantly feel sick / need to eat loads and have a stinking cold

ew1990 · 13/04/2017 14:11

It's nervous sick, hopefully everything's fine, I feel the need to eat all the time I'm always hungry xx

THirdEeye · 13/04/2017 18:08

How is everyone doing? Sorry to hear some of you are still feeling so nauseous.

I had a scan yesterday and I'm now 10 weeks! We saw movement and even heard the heartbeat which was pretty awesome.

As my boobs have grown, I got myself measured at M&S. may I ask, are any of you wearing non wired bras? At the moment, wired bras are still comfortable so I'm sticking with them and not the monstrosity they suggested I buy today.

Moo31 · 14/04/2017 16:39

Third I am still wearing my wired bras but I can tell it won't be for much longer! Have you gone up cup size and/or width size? I am thinking both for me!

I am 10 weeks today and my sickness is starting to ease thank goodness. Sorry for everyone who still has it bad :(

Also congrats to those who had scans - share your pics with us? :)

tmc14 · 14/04/2017 17:06

Third - my boobs are still the same tiny size atm so afraid I can't help! 😆 That was the symptom I was looking forward to!

Slightly blurry image attached! 8W 5D (now 9W), head on the left. Was amazing to see/hear the heartbeat.

tmc14 · 14/04/2017 17:07

Moo - glad your sickness is subsiding. I'm not too bad but keeping it at bay by continually eating carbs 😬

ew1990 · 14/04/2017 17:36

@tmc14 that is adorable, I have mine tomorrow but it's at epu to check everything's ok, I had an overwhelming feeling last night as I was drifting off that everything's going to be ok, I'm taking that as a good sign, I will update you all in the morning xx

tmc14 · 14/04/2017 17:44

Good luck Ew, keeping everything crossed for you. Looking forward to your update xx

MistyBxx · 14/04/2017 23:39

Hey girlies, glad to see you're all doing well... apart from the sickness that is 🙈
I'm ok, just chilling waiting for my scan on Tuesday where they'll hopefully tell me I'm all clear so I can get back on the ttc bus 😳
