Hello!
Any one else received their first BFP this month!? I am 4+5. Due November 10 and would love to talk to some other first time mummies as every twinge and niggle sends me into panic at the moment!! I'm sure I'm not the only one...

Hey mrsb the midwife said exactly the same thing to me today, in regards to the peeing at night!

Moo31 · 08/04/2017 09:01

MrsB that's really cute!

My sickness has been rough this week - Thursday was the worst hanging over the toilet from 6pm until 10pm. I was 9 weeks yesterday. Ladies who are further on when did your sickness ease? Give me some good news please ...

sophr2017 · 08/04/2017 09:18

Moo mine stopped at the beginning of 11 weeks but to be fair I was only feeling incredibly nauseous, it was rare I was actually sick. Sorry you're feeling rotten 😞

Moo31 · 08/04/2017 10:20

Thanks Soph! I know it's par for the course and I said I wouldn't complain as I am so over the moon to be pg but that said it is rough all the same! I've got into a pattern where I'm sick every other day which is strange but hopefully in a few weeks I'll have forgotten all about it! Keeping food in my stomach seems to help but I literally have no appetite at the minute so it's hard forcing yourself to eat something - even more so when feeling nauseous!

I said to oh it's so unfair men don't have to experience this - he said its because women are the stronger sex strong as a woman haha!

I just fancied a soft boiled egg so I thought feck it I'm having it. Enjoyed it then felt guilty. Googled and apparently the rules have changed:
"In January 2016, the UK Advisory Committee on the Microbiological Safety of Food found a major reduction in the potential risk of eating raw or lightly cooked UK eggs, leading experts to conclude that it's now safe for pregnant women to eat their eggs runny or soft-boiled or raw (in foods such as mayonnaise), as long as the eggs used have the British Lion stamp on." Yay! :)

sophr2017 · 08/04/2017 10:38

I've eaten loads of boiled eggs, it was one of The only things I fancied at one stage!

Sakura03 · 08/04/2017 13:57

MrsB how cute is that!
I can't help but feel a little worried that I don't really have any symptoms, I had headaches the last couple of days and felt freezing cold but today I'm fine. I try to just be positive but it's so so hard... anybody else with no symptoms? I'm 8 weeks 5 days. What do you do to keep your mind distracted?

THirdEeye · 08/04/2017 15:03

I'm experiencing few symptoms as well sakura.

Like you I feel very cold, have the odd headache, pulling sensations in the pelvic area and have some bloating and lots of wind 💨

THirdEeye · 08/04/2017 15:04

I'm 9 or so weeks now and just try not to google every five minutes Grin

Sakura03 · 08/04/2017 16:07

Hi THird Yeah I don't really get the pulling sensation, well maybe yesterday but otherwise I haven't had any for a couple of weeks... bloating on and off but quite a bit of burping (and I've never been a burper before) lol. Yes google is so not our friend but the temptation is great at times...

THirdEeye · 08/04/2017 16:47

Have you seen a midwife yet sukura?

I saw mine yesterday and she told me it's quite normal not to feel nauseous.

I'm also getting bloating, which can be uncomfortable.

Jessiecat27 · 08/04/2017 17:41

I was told not to have homemade Mayo but that I can have 'dippy eggs', I was made up! That was the only thing really on the list that I was bothered about!

MrsNemAz · 08/04/2017 17:45

Hi everyone,

I'm 9 weeks and 6days today! I don't have that many symptoms. I am usually sick once every morning, have sore breasts, strong sense of smell and bloating. I'm not tired and not breathless, I suffer from migraines usually but since I found out I'm pregnant no headaches. I was already checking missed miscarriages on Google. My first scan is at the end of April and I'm so scared...!!
I didn't put on any weight and my belly looks the same

Jessiecat27 · 08/04/2017 18:05

Mrsnem L wouldn't worry, not everyone has the same symptoms! I can't eat anything spicy or drink juice without being sick but other than that I'm just nauseous most of the time. I kept getting earache but now it's headaches and migraines! I'm also constantly bloated!

What's everyone's opinions on people touching the bump when it's actually visible? The idea horrifies me but I don't know how to put it politely to family and friends?

Jessiecat27 · 08/04/2017 18:13

I've also been freezing a lot of the time too! I'm normally great with the cold!

Sakura03 · 08/04/2017 18:22

THird I've got my MW appointment on the 20 April. Jessiecat I think I'd go mental if anybody touches my bump, I know some people do that but I just don't understand it...

Jessiecat27 · 08/04/2017 18:25

Sakura I just don't get it, why would you want to touch my skin?! Haha, I've never been a touchy feely hugging person anyway so I guess that's why bit I can't help but feel I will offend people? Obviously OH is welcome anytime but other than that I feel like they can wait until the baby is here and hold it then Grin

ew1990 · 08/04/2017 19:00

Hi girls, bit of a tough day today, noticed a bit of brown discharge in knickers earlier on so rang midwife who said it's more than likely normal so try not to worry and just rest but if I need anything to give them a ring, about half an hour later I went toilet and had quite a bit of pink discharge, I was at work so just went straight to a&e, they've booked me in for a scan on Saturday and said really there's nothing I can do until then but to rest, they said bleeding is fairly common in early pregnancy and mine technically isn't bleeding it's pink discharge, so anyway been told not to worth and to rest, how do I rest when I've got work and it's a really heavy job, I don't do the heavy work anymore but I'm on my feet for 12 hours it's hard work xxx

ew1990 · 08/04/2017 19:01

Worry not worth

user1490285009 · 08/04/2017 19:04

Hi ladies,

This is my first pregnancy and apart from painful cramps at nights, with loose stools ( sorry for the TMI) at week 4- I really don't have much in the way of symptoms. I wonderd how normal this is? Its really worrying me. Does any one have experience of this? Is it a bad sign? For example did anyone have an asymptomagic first trimester but then go on to have other complications?

My only symptoms are mild breast tenderness, and a little mild fatigue.

Moo31 · 08/04/2017 20:58

Ew sorry to hear you've had a scare. Can they not get you in before next Sat to put your mind at ease? Could you book a private scan for Monday? In any case you should take the week off work and rest.

Jessie - fruit juice is one of my sickness triggers as well! Which is hard as I'm so thirsty and water just doesn't quench my thirst the same! I don't think I'd mind family and friends touching the bump as I'm quite a huggy person anyway but I've heard stories of complete strangers touching people's bumps - I'd be horrified! People think you are public property Confused

ew1990 · 08/04/2017 21:22

Saturdays the next appointment they have, the midwife told me this is more common than you think In early pregnancy and I've had no more since so I'm trying not to worry and I went on my pregnancy app about an hour ago and this was today's read

First Time Pregnancy
MistyBxx · 08/04/2017 21:59

Hi girlies, hope you're all well, I'm still following your journeys 😊 I'm feeling a lot better myself, off work til mid may so relaxing and enjoying the sunshine while I come to terms with everything. Every day it gets a little easier but I still shed a tear now and then but it's to be expected. Think the majority of my loss happened last night. On and off the toilet from 9pm til 2am and lost some big pieces of tissue and was in a LOT of pain, worse than any af cramps I've ever had 😖 it wasn't pleasant but also not as horrific as I thought. Ringing hospital Monday to go back for scan to check if it's all out.
I just popped on to reassure ew 💕 chick it's the scariest thing in the world when you start bleeding but honestly I googled so much and it is definitely normal. Believe me I know how hard it is not to worry but if it was anything sinister, I personally think you'd be in pain. When I started bleeding, it was light brown and only really when I wiped, but the pain was more than any little "pulling" or twinges I'd experienced before, it was deep abdominal muscle spasm-like cramps like very intense af, that gave me shivers and had me curled up on the couch crying down the phone to nhs direct. They sent me to out of hours doc in the hospital coz they were worried about the pain. They were very unconcerned about the bleeding, even when it became red, and remained unconcerned in all the follow up appointments I had, it was the pain that they were worried about. So please, please try to relax. And if you DO get any pain, it still does NOT mean the worst. Calculate your dates... if you weren't pg, would you be due af around now? Check out breakthrough bleeding, it's where your body is so used to having a period regularly that it still sheds a little bit around the same time every month, even though it's not shedding an egg. Some ladies have it throughout their pregnancy. The stress will drive you mad so try and be grateful you've got work to take your mind off it. Although if you've been advised to rest, and your job is intense, may do you good to have time off while you wait for your scan.
Plz try and remember, common as mc is, MOST people have normal pregnancies and coz it's new, every little thing is terrifying. Sorry this is such a long post. I hope I've given you even a tiny bit of reassurance. If you want to chat more, drop me a line chick.
Glad you're all doing good and enjoying the lovely weather!
And ps, I'm very huggy and am one of those people who love rubbing bumps haha but never strangers 😳 wouldn't dream of just sticking my arm out there! Have pregnant friends and if I'm dying to have a little smooth of it, depending on how close we are, I say "oh babe can I put my hand on your tum? If you don't like it, please say no!" Sounds weird but I think you know yourself if you'd be comfortable with someone touching it when the time comes, my friends have grabbed my hand and plonked it on in the past and been like "don't be stupid, come here!" But it's your body, your choice and don't let anyone touch if you're not comfy with it 🌺

ew1990 · 08/04/2017 22:07

@MistyBxx thank you so much 😘 they asked me have a I got any pain and I said just the usual twinges but a pulling feeling low down too and they said this is normal, I would have been on my second period now just nearly finishing if you know what I mean, they weren't concerned I was In and out of A&E within 5 minutes my oh hadn't even got there and it's 5 min drive away, I'm just gunna go open surgery Monday morning and ask my doc for some advice, you words mean a lot misty so thank you xxx

MistyBxx · 08/04/2017 22:21

You've done the right thing checking it out and I'm so glad you feel better 😊 it is a scary time but I'm sure you'll be absolutely fine chick, and the docs on Monday will make you feel better too. Keep updating and try not to worry any more now 🌺xx

ew1990 · 08/04/2017 22:33

I will do, I've just indulged in a Chinese and told myself it's ok coz it had carrots broccoli and onions in it 😂 tucked up in bed now, will keep everyone updated xxx
