Oh smurf I'm so sorry. As others have said, let it out and allow yourself time to grieve. Really hope we see you back here in the near future but don't rush yourself.

It may be coincidental but I think my starting iron tablets helped this one be sticky. My friend also managed to conceive the first month after having B12 injections after trying for 18mths. It may be worth looking in to.

Good luck and take care of yourself.

llemma I'm 18+2 today so we are really close in dates, yay, I was thinking I was on my own for an august date.

I started feeling movements last week but I already had a successful pregnancy so I kind of knew what to expect in terms of how it feels. Hopefully it won't be too long til you feel yours and a doppler won't be needed.

theAntsareMyFriends · 07/03/2017 09:41

I'm so sorry for your loss smurf and hope that your recovery is as pain-free as possible. I hope you will be back here soon.

My baby is transverse at the moment so I really need to get on with trying to get him in the right position. My first labour was extremely quick so this time I'm hoping to be able to slow everything down a bit more and hopefully end up with less damage.

llemma I also got a doppler for this one. I used it before my 12week scan and then until about 16weeks but after that I didn't really both so you might find its not that useful at this stage. There are loads of second hand ones which you can then sell on without losing any money so that's always worth a go.

I hope everyone else is well and having a good week so far.

knorrig · 07/03/2017 10:47

So sorry Smurf Flowers look after yourself.

oliversmummy26 · 07/03/2017 11:30

Smurf I'm so sorry to hear that, look after yourself and take some time. I bet we will see you on here again soon Flowers

purple I'm hoping for ELCS after hideous induction and EMCS with DS - 4 days in hospital before my 9lb13 baby was born! Am terrified of the same happening again. Have a VBAC clinic appointment with a specialist midwife in May..

TheLegendOfBeans · 07/03/2017 12:00

Oh Smurf I'm so sorry. Gutted for you. X

SayItIsntSo1 · 07/03/2017 17:24

Just coming on for a moan. I'm still waiting for my harmony test results, stupidly put my phone on silent for a meeting this afternoon and I think they called! As is bloody typical it was a withheld number and no voicemail left.

By the time I phoned the hospital they were closed.

Popcorn did you get told your results by the people who did the scan and bloods or the lab/company they went too? I really can't remember what the Dr said as I was in too much of a daze having seen a live baby Sad

Shuffles back off to fume some more

TheLegendOfBeans · 07/03/2017 19:04

Considering some of the tough times folk on here are having I'm sorry for how very trivial this sounds but here goes...

For those of you with previous DCs, when did you start to show with DC2?

I am only at 7w and trust me when I say I'm not getting ahead of myself but my stomach is majorly poking out. And kinda "high" too.

Now, it's more than likely lard but it's really taken me by surprise wobble wobble

littlepooch · 07/03/2017 19:16

smurf thinking of you today xx

littlepooch · 07/03/2017 19:19

purple I ended up with an EMCS with dd and it was honestly ok and still a really positive experience. So much so I'm OK with having an ELCS this time round. Just wanted to reassure you that having a cs can be OK. legend this is dc2 for me (5th pregnancy) and I am 14+3 and most definitely have a bump. I've been so sick I haven't even gained weight and actually lost but it's so obvious. I think I was showing by about 8 weeks this time. With dd I didn't really have a bump until 20 weeks!

ImGonnaSingTheDoomSongNow · 07/03/2017 20:26

legend I definitely started showing earlier with this one than DD, had a little pot belly around 6wks, felt very bloated from about 8wks and was sure I was showing around 10wks. I definitely have a bump now at 18wks but feels more like actual baby bump as opposed to a lot of bloat and Christmas chocolate! Everything definitely feels looser and like it remembers how to be fat this time around!

Popcorn1979 · 07/03/2017 21:26

Sayit - I got my results from the clinic I had bloods taken at (so not direct from lab). When was your test? Mine took 6 working days (test sat then results Monday the week after). Hope you get to speak to someone tomorrow!

Legend - this is dc3 for me and I feel I was showing quite a bit around 8 weeks with bloat that then calmed for a bit. Now 12 and think I only have a week or so of getting away with not telling colleagues before it is totally obvious! Sure baby is only size of lime at the moment....worlds biggest lime maybe!!

Corrinax · 08/03/2017 07:47

Help im driving myself crazy after my mmc last aug im now coming upto 9 weeks iv just received my scan date its not till April but its made me worse in terms of worry!! I was ok as i was oblivious n now the date it scaring me i woke up today n feel fine iv had no symptoms other than sore nipples every now n then n lack of symptoms is also scaring me

Is there any reassurance frm ppl in same position? Happy endings? Smile

AmyB1986 · 08/03/2017 08:14

Scan today at 1.20 7+3 😣😣 shitting my pants!

Corrin I've not got many symptoms at all this time. I feel the same as you, worrying something isn't right. I have severe morning sickness usually but I've just been a tiny bit nauseous and have sore boobs. Every pregnancy is different 😊

Can't shake the tired feeling, I've had 10 hours sleep but feel like I've been awake alllllll night 😴

jpeg28 · 08/03/2017 08:19

Good luck Amy hope the scan goes well.

corrin I'm sorry you're having such an anxious time. The beginning is just awful!! This time around the only symptoms I had really were sore boobs but they came and went too. I didn't have sickness just nausea really but everyone is different. My mum said she didn't have any symptoms at all with either of her pregnancies. It's easy to say but I promise it gets easier!! For my first 13 weeks of this pregnancy I wouldn't even acknowledge I was pregnant really as I was convinced it would end in MC again... but I'm 34 weeks now! Really really hope all goes well for you. Could you have a private scan to put your mind at ease?

Corrinax · 08/03/2017 08:24

Good luck with the scan Amy how come your having an early scan?

Thanks for ur replys Jpeg i had an early scan last time at 9 weeks which is when i found out about mmc so im too scared to have an early scan i thought i would try and do what everyone else normally does and wait till their 12 weeks scan and also i feel like what i dont know cant hurt me Sad

AmyB1986 · 08/03/2017 08:36

Thanks for your well wishes!

Corrin I've been having severe cramps as well as having miscarried twice within the last year. It brings my mc rate up to 4. My gp insisted I go for a scan, he called me in and arranged it. I didn't really want one but he said I have to.

Hate it when I see my obs note and it says gravida 8 para 2... pregnant 6 times two twin pregnancies and only two of my babies survived. Dh is all in a panic this morning thinking there's more than 1 in there! I'm just thinking there won't be anything at all! He's pacing it's only 8.36!

TheLegendOfBeans · 08/03/2017 08:40

Rooting for you Amy, good luck for later.

Corrina funny you should be saying what you're saying... I've just had two amazing nights sleeps in a row, only getting up once for a pee, not feeling like I'm lying on two airbags.

So obviously I'm like "yep, sure something's wrong".

I have one week and one day to go until my early scan and I'm getting desperate.

SayItIsntSo1 · 08/03/2017 08:44

Good luck today Amy, I hope you get good news.

SayItIsntSo1 · 08/03/2017 09:17

Got our harmony results and everything is low risk! Also found out baby is a boy!

DH cried for a good while when I told him Smile think it was relief. The baby we lost was a boy so there's something sad and also healing that this one is too.

Can't wait to get next week out of the way and we can relax a bit more.

theAntsareMyFriends · 08/03/2017 09:28

lovely news say. Great news that everything is low risk.

good luck with the scan amy

corrina the first weeks are so stressful. I tried extreme denial but things like scan dates just remind you that you can't ignore it forever. I hope the weeks to your scan go quickly and you can get through it in whichever way works best for you.

Its my birthday today! I got my BFP for the baby I lost on my birthday last year. I remember discussing with my DP how this birthday I'd have 2 children. Anyway, self-pity over and I'm going to get on with the rest of the day and try to feel grateful that I am 32+2 with a DS who is rolling around like a little pig in mud.

oliversmummy26 · 08/03/2017 10:15

Amy loads of luck for your scan today, chances are the everything will be just fine..

Corrin as others have said, every pregnancy is different and the first weeks are terrifying after a MC. I was the same with this pregnancy, but 13+3 now and all seems to be going well. I have had some early scans, first was just for reassurance and it did make me feel better. After that I had some spotting and bleeding, so an EPU and another private before our 12 week. I would definitely recommend a private scan if you can, it made me feel lots better. Was scary going and scanxiety was awful, but I did feel better afterwards!

legend I was definitely bigger sooner this time round, it's 2nd baby, 3rd pregnancy. By 8 weeks I couldn't do up my normal jeans anymore and was in maternity jeggings by 10 weeks. I feel enormous, like I look like I'm 20+ weeks already, but with DS I was in regular clothes until 20 or so weeks I think. It is definitely mostly fat, as my tummy is flabby and wobbly rather than hard like a pregnant belly. I can feel my uterus and it only gets to my belly button for now..But so much more comfortable in maternity jeans Smile

I'm suffering with headaches at the moment, waking most mornings with one and also waking at about 3am and taking ages to get back to sleep despite being exhausted..

Considering getting a doppler now after all the talk about it, but still worry that I'd worry myself more if I can't find heartbeat...I'm feeling quite relaxed at the moment and positive that everything is going to be fine with this pregnancy now...but the extra reassurance of hearing a heartbeat before movement starts would be nice..

XxBecxX · 08/03/2017 13:57

I'm not one who really suffers with pregnancy symptoms, as you can probably guess from the amount of children I have lol
Sore/heavy slightly uncomfy boobs is about it and then usually exhaustion and ravenous hunger from 8-13wks but this time round just the boobs!
There really is no rhyme or reason to this pregnancy lark, you really just got to think positively, after my last traumatic experience I never imagined I'd be here a month away from have another little one in my arms!
Try to keep the faith girlies xx

Any of you ladies around 23/24 weeks? I have just been asked if I would be prepared to go to a trade show in Germany for work when I will be 23 weeks..I'm not keen to be honest and will have problems with childcare for my DS, but other than that, just wondered if any of you who are at that stage would be up to something like that? We will be exhibiting, so he's said I could just sit on the stand all day, but I know it will be exhausting and it won't be just sitting, there'll be standing and walking around too...for 3 days plus travelling there and back
