Capet brown is a very good sign, as is a heartbeat, obviously! Smile It will be good to have a scan though, to put your mind at rest.

Hazandduck · 25/04/2017 20:04

How are you doing Capet? X

TheLegendOfBeans · 25/04/2017 21:41

sock five widdles in a night is standard for me. I swear this baby is growing into my bladder like some anti-continence warhead.

say the tiredness....I'm so tired. 15w tomorrow. We are going through the absolute fucking wringer right now re selling up and moving abroad and it's so bad I'm forgetting I'm pregnant and that (forgive my Victorian wording) I've got to look after myself a bit more and not get overloaded.

I'm so tired I just want to cry but I can't, I'm not there yet.

I'm grateful for all being well with baby, it is the utter relentlessness of day to day life right now that has me truly on my knees.

Whine over (and welcome newbies)

capet · 25/04/2017 22:06

Hi, just to update had scan and all ok, measuring 11+3 which is ahead of my dates. Small bleed outside of sac just above cervix, she said nothing to worry about but may have some more spotting just because of where it is,
Moved by booking appointment and scan to next week,
So relieved everything looked ok
Going to start taking lactulose though from now on!

DoctorDonnaNoble · 26/04/2017 05:27

I've just got past the point that the bleeding started last time (February). I'm struggling with the old 'today I am pregnant' mantra. It's not working. It doesn't help that the midwives haven't got in touch yet after I filled in the booking in form last week. And I really don't want to tell anyone at work until the staffing allocation for next year is agreed. Can I fast forward through the next 5 weeks please?

Hazandduck · 26/04/2017 06:38

Capet that is excellent news! :)
Donna I'm sorry you're worrying. A friend said to me last week some very wise words: until you have something to worry about, it is pointless worrying and you should just enjoy the pregnancy and this moment. It really struck me how right she is. Sorry if those words are useless to you, but unless you have serious bleeding or something else, the best thing for you and baby is to try and focus on each day and tick each one off as a victory. Every day bean sticks you are a day closer to having a healthy baby. Have you spoken to a GP or midwife about your anxiety? Or maybe booked an early scan? X

DoctorDonnaNoble · 26/04/2017 06:55

Bloody midwives haven't been in touch yet. They got in touch the next day in (February). Seeing GP would be impossible unless I go to the walk in session next Tuesday (they do one every day but I work weds-fri no actual appointments for three weeks!).

DoctorDonnaNoble · 26/04/2017 06:56

I'm going to try and phone the midwives today.

TheLegendOfBeans · 26/04/2017 07:03

Yeah just phone them. My local hospital is lovely but slow off the mark with paperwork; they put me right on the phone and the letters were with me 48hrs later.

Still don't have my NHS maternity exemption though; where's my free stuff? !

SayItIsntSo1 · 26/04/2017 07:48

Scan day today for me! 18+2. I've decided I'm going to brave it out and be positive and pay the money for a photo. It's. It until 13.20 so a good few hours to change my mind and chicken out! DH is away so I'm going on my own.

Miami how are you getting on now? I hope the bleeding stopped and your hcg is positive.

Legend the tiredness is one thing, but yesterday I got the rage for a good couple of hours over nothing. Not had it before and can only assume it's hormone related Blush

Miami81 · 26/04/2017 08:12

Good luck with scan say.
So I had a really good hcg level in first test (5500 at 4+6), in today for the second test, so hoping that goes well. Bleeding is almost completely gone, it is like a really insignificant discharge now.
Had reflexology yesterday for the first time and loved it. Am still completely blissed out by it, she really focussed on lowering anxiety. And gave me homework to stimulate my progesterone myself (I am aware that this could be complete boohicky but it makes me feel like I am doing something).
So today I am pregnant. I woke up today starving and my boobs are slightly sore now. Feeling much more positive now.
Thanks so much for all your kind thoughts. All the ladies on here really did help me stay positive.

WLMcI · 26/04/2017 08:39

Great news Miami! I don't have a clue what the number means but I'm glad it's high, and hope today's test goes well too Smile

Haz those are wise words indeed; I like it!

Say best of luck with the scan! When you say pay for the photo, is that a private 4D scan? My cousin had one of those back about 12 years ago and the detail was incredible. Or is your local NHS so cheap you have to buy the regular photos off them? I think it's the same with mine if the rumours are true Grin I've never got that far though so I'm not sure.

Still not really feeling pregnant here, but I keep reminding myself that I didn't last time either until into the 5th week (I'm 4+6 now). And that I have nothing specific to worry about so no point worrying, as Haz says!

SayItIsntSo1 · 26/04/2017 08:58

WL its NHS. Just a growth/ reassurance scan because of my anxiety, (which I think they're being really supportive about so far). We got a photo at our 8wk scan with the EPU and I think that's quite normal but anything after that you have to pay.

Glad you've had good news Miami. Hoping this is a sticky bean for you!

grainmum · 26/04/2017 09:27

Good luck today say

theAntsareMyFriends · 26/04/2017 09:29

Great news about the scan capet and the blood test miami. I hope you have no more bleeding and the rest of the PG is more stress free.

I agree with miami that this thread really helps you stay positive. I don't know what I'd have done without in when going through tough times. Even when I've not been able to post much I've logged in every day to see how people are. Its amazing how close you can end up feeling to anonymous strangers on the internet! I'm really going to miss the support when I finally move on (baby due on Monday).

Good luck with your scan say.

beans that sounds exhausting. I hope it all gets sorted and you can enjoy getting settled in your new home soon.

I'm not sure if jPeg is still around but if you are, I hope either the birth has gone well or that you aren't waiting too much longer.

Ineed if you are around too, its not long now! I hope you are enjoying your mat leave

I hope everyone else has a peaceful day.

oliversmummy26 · 26/04/2017 12:51

Had my 20 week scan today and baby looking perfect. I have a little bleed near my cervix (nothing to worry about) and placenta is very close to cervix, so that probably explains the bleed I had last week.

Please everything is as well as it can be though and baby was wriggling all over the place. Just hope I don't have any more bleeding, though now that I'm over the 20 week mark, I should be seen in the day assessment unit in maternity rather than having to wait at a&e for a doctor who doesn't really seem to know what he's talking about!!

oliversmummy26 · 26/04/2017 12:53

We're getting to the end of this thread too, so I've started a new one for when it runs out of space:

Thread 16

INeedNewShoes · 26/04/2017 13:03

I'm behind on the thread, but just noticed Ant's post Smile

I had an ECV to try and turn my breech baby yesterday but to no avail so I'll be having a CS at the end of next week. Maybe we'll both be cuddling our babies by next weekend!!

Best of luck Ant and I'll look forward to hearing your news Smile

oliversmummy26 · 26/04/2017 13:08

Very exciting times for Ants and Ineed!

knorrig · 26/04/2017 14:07

Say - Best of luck for your scan.

Miami - Glad to hear bleeding has stopped and good HGC results. Great re the reflexology - do anything that helps relax you. I'm still doing acupuncture and it really helps relax me - only every 4-6 weeks now, she gave me an extra needle for pelvic aches and lower back pain yesterday too which I think really helped!

Olivers Glad all went well!

Ants great to hear from you and how exciting it's so close now! I messaged Jpeg yesterday on the fb page and her waters had broken yesterday and she was in labour so hopefully some news of a little jpeg soon!

Newshoes sorry you didn't get movement from the baby but exciting you may be meeting them soon. I may be in the same position as you as I have a low lying placenta so may have to have a csec, I'd rather not but feel okay with it being a planned one - it's the thought of an emergency one that stresses me out. I have a growth scan next week (32 weeks) and a consultant appointment 2 weeks later so should know more then.

Will join the new thread now!

SayItIsntSo1 · 26/04/2017 15:25

Good luck on safe arrivals soon JPeg, Ants and INeed! Very exciting!

My scan went fine, thank you for the well wishes. One wriggly baby measuring exactly as he should. I'm feeling like I should start to make a concerted effort to embrace positivity and look after myself more. Better start today before my angst kicks back in in a few days time!

Thread is nearly out of post space... see you on 16 ladies! Grin
