Pregnancy after infertility or fertility treatment can be a scary place, from scanxiety to unexplained bleeding to other random symptoms.

We are a supportive group of women across all stages of pregnancy who are used to being on the wrong side of the odds and still can't believe it's really happening.

Great news star such a relief to have them back and all ok.

Ash75454 · 26/07/2017 16:47

bean missed your message there. I wasn't expecting to hear back for 10 working days. So half that was quick! They'll check with you on the phone again if you def want to know so if you have asked and change your mind you don't need to find out I think.

beanhunter · 26/07/2017 16:54

Just had mine back. All low risk and it's a girl xx

Ash75454 · 26/07/2017 17:21

Yeeaahhh. Amazing news congrats. X x

Feels so real now don't you think.

maplebaby · 26/07/2017 17:43

Ahh glad all results have come back ok ash, bean and star!

I'm getting anxious about Tuesday now which is my dating scan (will be 12+5)!

blackcherries · 26/07/2017 22:10

Congrats ash, bean and star!
My 12+3 dating scan gave us a nice long look as it took a while for baby to get in position. I'm waiting until next week (and hopefully no news of results as if all OK they send a letter) before I officially tell people (most family already know) although telling the odd friend already.
I think that will be the turning point to start buying more mat clothes etc as already starting to show! I'm quite nervous about telling people though!

Ash75454 · 27/07/2017 19:17

Glad all going well blackcherries. We tell my husbands family tomorrow and mine next week. My next scan is booked at 13+4 so nearly two more weeks to wait. All looking good at 10+5. I understand the nervousness. I quite like it being my info only. Need to tell work after that next scan too

BeetleAndBug · 31/07/2017 21:15

Hello,

I'm really glad I have found this thread, and I hope it's okay to join in.

I am currently very newly pregnant after my fifth round of ivf, and need a place to vent and hopefully also give support to others from my experiences.

I have had early bleeding in both my two previous pregnancies due to subchorionic haematomas, my first pregnancy ended in a second trimester loss due to pprom, my second pregnancy I had a TVC at 13 weeks but pprom'ed again, thankfully DS survived and is nearly 3 now.

I now have an abdominal cerclage, and am 4w5d pregnant and holding my breath until early scan at some point.

Phew....sorry that was pretty long!

Custardandcream · 01/08/2017 12:39

Hi all not really had time to catch up, beetle congratulations and welcome.

Baby custard arrived on Saturday morning 11 hours after my first contraction, things didn't quite go according to plan as she had pooed in the waters so I couldn't have a water birth. But she was delivered safe and well which is all that matters.

It's an amazing feeling to have her in my arms, I don't think I ever truly believed it would happen! Good luck to all of you wherever you are on the journey, there is light at the end of the tunnel xx

Sara not long for you now! I didn't feel any pain from my Braxton hicks I was only aware they were happening as I happened to have my hand on the bump and felt it tighten.

Ash75454 · 01/08/2017 13:29

Congrats custard delighted for you.

beetle welcome and congrats. Seems a hectic journey. Just take some reassurance from your successful pregnancy with DS

How are everyone else doing?

General question to the masses anyone have any side effects after stopping their hormones at week 12?

maplebaby · 01/08/2017 17:18

Blackcherries I'm the same - belly is def rounder but I think it's 98% food 2% baby!

Beetle welcome, congratulations and you are in good company here! I'm sorry for everything you have been through so far and your losses Flowers we have all been hand holding here!

Congratulations custard fantastic news! Hope you are well and settling in at home now!

Ash I'm still on cyclogest until 14 weeks but dose was dropped to one a day from 12 weeks. I've suffered with terrible acne and I'm hoping when I stop it will help clear it up!

Had my dating scan today - baby was being a scamp and not facing the right way so had to cough / sonographer was bouncing the scanner on my tummy Confused it did move to finally do the nuchal measurements but it's hand is in it's face - looks like it's sucking it's thumb in the photo!

Feeling a bit more excited now and hoping that some of the anxiety will go.. picked up a baby on board badge at the station on my way home and planning on getting some mat jeans / trousers as I've been wearing the same pair for about 2 weeks!

Hope all is well with everyone else!

star1980 · 02/08/2017 08:33

Oh congratulations on your little girl custard! What wonderful wonderful news!! You must be so happy Smile

Welcome beetle, so sorry for what you've been through. I don't know what abdominal cerclage is, is it serious? try and be strong. After what we've been through, we are all trying to navigate the various worries and anxiety and we are here for you to vent. Good luck with the first scan in a few weeks.

Congrats on the scan maple! Another milestone reached! I'm definitely ready for mat clothes too. I have a baby on board badge but haven't used it yet - feel a bit self conscious! And to be honest, haven't needed a seat really until now.

As for me, I've had an awful week. Started with what felt like gas on Thursday, became bad abdominal pains by Fri and excruciating to the point I ended up in A&E on sat. Drs suspected fibroid degeneration which was confirmed at scan at EPu on Monday. I'm on codeine and paracetamol and bed rest. I can barely move and walking so slowly like an old lady Sad Baby is oblivious, it's just me that's suffering! Googling says it could be up to 2 weeks and I'm on day 6 now so I'm desperately hoping it passes soon. I'm 15w now and waiting for that second trimester bliss to set in Confused

Hope everyone else is good. Happy to see us all progressing nicely.

maplebaby · 02/08/2017 09:59

Star my DH wants me to wear the badge immediately but I feel a bit self conscious too! Almost a bit sheepish to! I said I will wear it from next week.

I'm sorry you've had a crappy week - what is fibroid degeneration? Bed rest must be awful but glad all is well with the baby. Think of the end goal even though it's a bit shit now!

I'm feeling a little sore from the scan yesterday!

Ash75454 · 03/08/2017 10:55

Thanks maple for the info. I'm suffering from a serious hormone hangover! I've had a headache since Tuesday and really bad nausea. Spoke with clinic this morning they just said take it easy take some paracetamol it can happen when stopping. It's also likely the extra hormones were masking what my early symptoms should have been. If that's the case I'm grateful I've not had to feel this way for weeks. 🤢

star sorry you've been feeling unwell and most be bored by now. Lots of Netflix! I hope you are feeling better soon.

lucieloos · 03/08/2017 22:57

Hi there hope everyone is getting on well. I haven't been on here for ages! All good here our little one is 10 weeks old this week.

Just wanted to say big congrats to rosebud and custard

Was wondering if there was any news from Trixie?

JustTrixie · 08/08/2017 12:35

Hi everyone, been meaning to post an update for a while!

This might be a bit long....we found out at our growth scan that little one had a large cyst in her pelvis. Was a worrying time as they were unable to say what it was but that it could be straight forward and easily sorted or could be a sign of something more serious. I was induced at 38 + 3 but she obviously wasn't quite ready as it took 3 days for her to arrive (I was only in full blown labour for about 12 hours though) DD was then transferred to Great Ormand Street and turned out to be a straightforward procedure yesterday and we are going home today 😀 still can't believe I am a Mummy! DD is amazing and has been so chilled out so very proud of her.

Star that sounds awful, hopefully the fibroid has passed by now and you are feeling better.

Wow Lucie can't believe your little one is 10 weeks.

Congratulations Custard!!!

star1980 · 08/08/2017 17:38

Oh my goodness trixie congratulations!!! What a stressful time with the wait and the transfer to Gt Ormond St, but how amazing it was easily sorted. So so happy for you. Hope you're home now and enjoying your new little family. I can't believe it - were all getting there from the 10 month (ha!) thread. :)

Happily for me the pain FINALLY died down on Saturday. Had a full week off work in bed and 7 days on codeine. The drs think the short time will be ok - think it's just a worry taking opiates in the 3rd trimester. Really hope it doesn't happen again!

Ash, hope the hormone withdrawals are calming down. That sounds awful. But yes, on the bright side of the pessaries have delayed symptoms so far then that's definitely something!

lucieloos · 08/08/2017 22:52

Trixie, congratulations that's amazing news! I've been wondering how you were getting on. So pleased we are mummies at last. I feel like we have been through the journey together right from the very beginning. Enjoy every second with you precious baby girl

Star, glad the pain has subsided for you. I'm sure the codeine will be fine if the docs have given it the go ahead.

beanhunter · 09/08/2017 17:15

Am leaving the thread. Scan today showed no heart beat at 12 weeks. Good luck to you all.

loopylou1984 · 09/08/2017 19:38

Congratulations Trixie! Glad everything is ok.

Were you on the bumsnet thread? I've forgotten where I know everyone from? (Other than 10+ of course) Lucie were you?

loopylou1984 · 09/08/2017 19:39

Bean if you're still reading - I am so so sorry. There's nothing else to say. I hope you're being looked after. Xx

Ash75454 · 10/08/2017 06:43

bean I'm so sorry. Thinking of you and sending hugs your way. X

JustTrixie · 10/08/2017 13:20

Sammy I wasn't on Bumsnet but was on the buses. Lucie I feel the same, it's been quite a journey hasn't it! You ladies kept me sane at times.

Bean I am so sorry Flowers

lucieloos · 12/08/2017 13:18

Bean I'm so sorry
