hope everything goes well tomorrow olivers.

i share your fears but im sure everything will be great!

SayItIsntSo1 · 26/02/2017 19:49

Congratulations Nasch!

Thank you for the kind words. I've had a bath and done some stretching yoga, so feeling a bit calmer. I think it doesn't help that DH is away for 3 days this week so they are going to be a bit busy with just DD and I but that may help it pass.

Smurf I should be 10 weeks tomorrow and saw a perfectly sized bean with a heartbeat at 8 weeks. That did help for about a week and then it's been back on the rollercoaster since then.

Grain when is your scan this week?

Good luck Olivers! I will be thinking of you tomorrow!

ImGonnaSingTheDoomSongNow · 26/02/2017 20:00

Congratulations nasch!

Sorry if my posts seem out of place/missing people, the page isn't loading properly on my phone and I'm not seeing half the posts til later.

olivers I felt exactly the same before my 12wk scan, it's horrible. Am feeling good at the moment but worries about the 20wk one are creeping in. It's never ending!

grainmum · 26/02/2017 21:43

Good luck olivers sending positive vibes for your scan tomorrow. Say mine is Friday. Lovely to see the birth announcement from nasch too. I hope you are getting all the support you need with the diabetes bec. At least if you do need insulin you know it's for a relatively short period of time and not permanent.

purpleviolet1 · 27/02/2017 07:28

Congratulations natsche!!! Hope you are both well. A pic would be lovely if you feel up for it and would like to share.

Who is next in line?

Oliver all the best for your scan this morning. What time is it?

Xxbec, the weight at my 32 week scan was estimated at 5.5lbs! I was feeling really worried but 4.9lbs doesn't seem so bad. I'm on insulin and it's not too bad.. not long left for us both now and if it's best for baby then I would go with the doctors advice. Can understand your frustration though Sad xx

MrsAlanPartridge · 27/02/2017 09:13

Congratulations nasch Flowers
And good luck for your scan today olivers

oliversmummy26 · 27/02/2017 11:50

Just had our scan and baby behaved perfectly, all looks great, moved back a day so 12+1 today due date 10/9. NT measurement was 1.5mm so I'm happy with that, just need to wait for screening results which should be through in a week or so hopefully then we'll start telling people.

Good luck for your scan today travel..

Just having some lunch so will post a photo when I get to work laterSmile

grainmum · 27/02/2017 12:23

Great news olivers

Gingerbreadmam · 27/02/2017 12:29

great news oliver good measurements too.

ImGonnaSingTheDoomSongNow · 27/02/2017 12:47

Awesome news olivers, really pleased for you.

SayItIsntSo1 · 27/02/2017 13:10

Great news Olivers!!!

TheLegendOfBeans · 27/02/2017 13:25

Great stuff Olivers

I'm feeling a bit down in the dumps as I really fancy DTD with DH but I'm so scared of anything upsetting things (esp after Olivers (?) post upthread).

I'm not doing the following:
Smoking (obviously)
Drinking any alcohol at all
Taking in caffeine
Shagging

Just to eliminate all risks. It's a dull life.

Popcorn1979 · 27/02/2017 13:30

Congrats Natsch and lovely news Olivers!!! What a relief!

My scan isn't until next Monday when I think I will be 12+5. Just got my Harmony results though and low risk for everything so delighted! Didn't think I was that worried about it until I started crying when she told me it was all ok....blooming hormones!

I also asked to know sex but asked her not to tell me over the phone. So email with result is in my inbox and I haven't opened it!!! Not sure whether to or not.....will def wait till I am with DH tonight but actually think might wait till 12 week scan so have more confidence all is ok? I have 2 DS already but genuinely would be delighted with another boy or a girl - I guess with what we have all been through, a healthy baby is def all we want!

Alexxx17 · 27/02/2017 13:35

Congratulations Natsch! Flowers

And great news Olivers. How were the nerves? I just know I'm going to be in bits when my time comes.

Legend Ha! I know what you mean. This is so shit.

oliversmummy26 · 27/02/2017 13:36

Legend no one told me not to dtd I think Ginger had been told to abstain until 12 weeks? We did an awful lot of shagging last weekend which I think is what caused the bleed. I suspect it is a sensitive cervix as there was no sign on any scans nor today that there was a bleed beyond cervix.

We cheated yesterday and were just a bit more gentle than usual and didn't go too deep Blush Everything I have read has said that dtd may cause bleeding, while this isn't normal, it is certainly very common. But it has also always said that dtd can't cause a miscarriage..

We kept saying we wouldn't dtd, but only managed 1 week each time before we gave in, pregnancy is so boring as it is without taking all the fun out of it! Wink

purpleviolet1 · 27/02/2017 14:02

Congrats Oliver!! Really pleased for you. And great news on the harmony results popcorn!!

Hahahaha re dull life in pregnancy. We've hardly dtd because dh is so worried about hurting it/ frightening it. He has been away this weekend though so maybe he will finally be up for it........

Gingerbreadmam · 27/02/2017 14:09

yes it was me that was told about not dtd.

i must admit i've never come across anything on dr google saying you shouldnt so maybe it is an old wives tale that midwives still use but for me it isnt worth the risk. ive been through enough as it is and dont want to tempt fate.

i drink coke tho now and again haha and eat chocolate so im not perfect. looking forward to dtd once had scan wednesday.

purpleviolet1 · 27/02/2017 15:07

So cute Oliver!!!

TheLegendOfBeans · 27/02/2017 16:52

Lovely to see scan pics xx

I keep seeing rainbows everywhere; two in the last week and a massive one today - I'm in the SE and it's been sunshine and showers all day.

I never knew what a rainbow baby was until a couple of months ago which may be why I'm welling up when I see them.

TheLegendOfBeans · 27/02/2017 16:53

Ps: thanks for info re DTD whilst pg but to paraphrase Ginger I too have been through enough as it is and don't want to tempt fate x

Gingerbreadmam · 27/02/2017 16:59

not long left legend and you can get back to it.

speaking of rainbow babies i have been eyeing up sleepsuits today and jojomamanbebe do a beautiful unisex sleepsuit with rainbows embroidered all over it.

jools oliver has a rainbow baby collection either out or xoming out with mothercare too.

ImGonnaSingTheDoomSongNow · 27/02/2017 17:11

Aww lovely olivers, DD was (and is) bean. So far I have no nickname for this one, OH calls it peanut but that doesn't fit quite right for me.

As far as I know, and have been told, there is no risk from DTD though we decided to hold off til we saw all was fine at 12wk scan. Not that I minded as my sex drive has dropped through the floor and have not been feeling sexy or in the mood at all since before BFP. Am hoping it comes back soon though.

I was super horny when pregnant with DD but OH wouldn't touch me as was worried about hurting the baby or something despite being told it wouldn't.

And after I had her I wasn't interested at all until after I stopped breastfeeding so it was at least 18 mths where we didn't DTD at all!

jpeg28 · 27/02/2017 17:53

Olivers congrats on your scan! And lovely pic!

Popcorn that's great news about your harmony test Smile have you opened the email yet?!

All you ladies with the energy to dtd in the first trimester are amazing!!! I was sooo not up for it at all until the second trimester and even then I was just always so tired! I did avoid it too because of the bleeding... MW didn't say abstain but she said it wouldn't do me any harm to avoid it! Poor OH! I have found dtd much better while pregnancy though... if you get what I mean! Obviously now it's getting much more tricky with a huge bump in the way!!

Babies movements are getting so painful now!! But at least he's moving... that's the main thing!
